Why don't car manufacturers just make a keyless keyfob with an ON/OFF switch ?
A lot of key fobs actually can be turned off by a certain button sequence. But ignorant people don't read the manual or forget to press the button.
@Willie Watra that's sad ! But probably accurate , if the insurance companies would place high security regulations on car manufacturers just as much as they do the air pollution regulations that would be fantastic !

You can always remove the battery from the fob before retiring for the night.it has the same effect
@@ramrodder1597 Yes, that's what I do - separate the fob and battery, and hide them around the house : so, if a car thief breaks into my home, he won't find them.

Breaking into the car by hacking is one thing.
Stealing a car is another. You can put a fuel cut off switch or a second ignition switch on the vehicle.

My fiesta was stolen but it didn’t have keyless system. How’s they do that n how can it be prevented
thay use a tumble key and trick the imobliser on the car so it starts. steering wheel lock and fake obd port. unfortunately there the most stolen car in the UK at the moment.
Don't forget most cars come with 2 x keyless fobs, if you dont protect your 2nd key they have two chances of starting your car. This fact alone is the main issue, if only one key was possible to be used at any time they wouldn't be able to re-programme or clone key-less fobs and get away with it. Two step security would also stop it just like the banks are using. Get a grip fast car manufactures keep up with security. Its lazy its stupid and we all pay massive insurance premiums because of this shit.

Yes...By removing the battery from the key will prevent the theft.
Old post reply, I have a box lined with tinfoil..not even Radio 2 can get through that.
First is to keep them from opening the door. Second cut all power from battery with a key lockeing switch hidden where it’s hard to find. Maybe take the wheel s off put the wheels in side your house every night. Or get trailer leveling jack installed all four corners when you park your car lift it off the ground. Seven feet. Ok just inches, point is if they want it, their going to steal it.
These are all great tips for another great tip is to get a disc lock for the car. Thieves won't even bother if they see a disc lock.

It only takes seconds to take out fuel and starter relay and seconds to put back in.
And your car will still be on your drive the next morning.

If they going to get it they will get it simple as that best thing is just put 2 weel clamps on and a steering wheel lock on and still if they want it they will just brake in and get the key so get 2 Rottweiler dogs in your house and then if they still get in move to the North Pole with a army tank Graham uk

You can do both. 1. Put a locking device on it. 2. Hide it. 3. Install a dummie OBD port.
I have no ideal what he is doing. Or what will this do.
A sledge hammer and block of wood for the thief's hands would be a better deterrent but these things are a great idea non the less.
