I was curious. On these 79cc engines. Why can't you just hold back the governor linkage? Is that something not possible? I noticed on my engine I could actually leverage it to give the engine like a Power Band. Increased performance without ever tearing the gears out of the inside. What do you think? Safe or risky? Great video. Thank you.
The governor gear inside your engine is fairly simple with a plastic gear and little metal weights. When you manually override the governor to increase rpm, the plastic gear and weights are also spinning the higher rpm as well. There is only so much rpm the cheesy gear and weights can handle before it comes apart inside your engine. We remove the governor to avoid the possibility of it coming apart in the engine.
If you keep the governor in the engine you can just disregard the throttle rod we supply in our kit. You'll just hook up the return spring and the conduit retainer.
We do not have a video with the governor installed but the only difference if you're keeping the governor is you can disregard the throttle rod we supply. You install the two "L" brackets, the one with the return spring and the one with the conduit retainer. You will setup the throttle cable. You do not install our throttle rod and just use the stock throttle rod on your engine which works with the governor.
I’m trying to do this without removal of the governor and utilizing the original gas tank. Is there a video specific to that?
just bought this kit!!
Where did you get it?
Do you have a link to it?
Question.. how do we ever clean the carb if we install this.. gotta bend the back out?
I was going to be buying a 79 cc Predator this week to make a bike motor do I need this kit too?

@@agkracing140 Oh I see. So you say with the higher rpm the gov gear set up inside would not be able to hold? Thanks.

How can I find this kit
I was hoping this would be perfect for the RCF Micro mini but clearance is turning out to be an issue.
Most of the micro minis we see use a slide carb like the 19mm and in those cases you don't need a throttle linkage.
How do I install this kit with the governor still installed?
