This is the best Soundtrap tutorial I’ve ever seen
Glad it helped man!
How he doesn’t tell you how to do a single thing he expects u to know if
This is literally the best and most helpful video I have seen on recording with Soundtrap. I just bought recording equipment and I am brand new to recording in general and I have been researching and trying to find any help with this particular program and you are the only one who has provided great help. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much Lauren! That means so much, I'm so glad it helped!
If there's anything else you want me to make a video on please let me know!
Yooo 🐸 ⏳! I remember when I was first getting into sound trap and Google popped up ur page I think like a year and a half ago.. thanks for the upload. I wonder how much more you’ve grown and improved. I hope to see more videos from you soon! Keep it up.
Incredible thank you, I needed this FOR REAL
This really worked!! I tried vocal mixing for the first time in my life but I am satisfied with the results. Thank you very much!!!
I just started trying to mix my vocals and I want to say thank you man your videos are really helping me
in general for someone without all the technical experience or theory, you have taught me more today than my digging online for a month
Really needed this because I've been trying to do a lot more things with soundtrap
God bless you! Thank you for making this video!
Ayy thank you sm! Glad it helped👍
Thanks man! This was such a concise and succinct voice mastering tutorial. Can't say how much difference these tips have made.
Thanks for sharing
This is amazingly simplistic for non-sound engineers to grasp W
Yoooo this was dope. Could you do a video on tips for recording just regular rap vocals without going for too much effects/reverb and more of a cleaner sound?
Ayy man bet, l I'll give some tips in the meantime, so at least this might be able to help now.
To me rap vocals are like any other vocals with an extra compressor at the end. A highly compressed, up front vocal is key, but you have to get a good sound first. Compression makes all the little details come out, so make sure your eq is good, then compress alot.
BIG TIP: boosting the top 2 EQ band s (10,000hz+) is something almost every rap vocal does today. In my experience you can go pretty crazy with this, you can boost it alot. It's the spot that's kind of magic, something that hits exactly where you miss it alot of the time.
THE TRAVIS SCOTT video on my channel goes over all of this in detail, including the reverbs and delays which is a huge part about rap vocals. To summarize, Eq-cut low, boost highs, compress with maybe 2 dynamic compressors until it sound natural and up front, add duplicate reverb and 1/8 note delay tracks.
Thanks again for the support! Hope this helped!
Great tutorial. A huge amount of useful advice delivered clearly and quickly. Thanks!
Ay appreciate that sm! Glad it helped!
You can EQ out the Esses with the eq knob at 6-7k
That's a super smart question! That s sound is defineltly around that frequency range, but taking that range would eliminate it from the whole vocal, not just the s's. That ends up making a huge difference, a missing 7k section sounds super unpolished and weak, we're best off taking them down in volume manually
Thanks so much for the question tho man!
I had to sub best tutorial out there
Ay glad it helped man! Thinking bout redoing this video soon with some new info too
@@FrogToneMixing Will definitely be tuning in for that
Very useful, very clear. Thanks for sharing what must be a few thousand hours of learning.
This was mad good
Appreciated man🙏glad you got something out of it!
Thank you so much! This helped me a lot!
Awesome video i love your channel!!
Ayy thanks sm! Glad to help, this is an oldie too so the recent stuff should be better😅
Bless bro been using soundtrap and this tutorial fire bro🔥🔥🔥👹👹👹🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
BET GLAD IT HELPED BRO🔥
You just saved a mixtape release date😂😂😂 thank you
i love this amazing way of explaining and very clear and helpfull
This is really helpful! Thank you bro! I don't know anything about these things, but I'm recording a song in soundtrap. My dream is to become a musician, and I'm recording a song right now, I didn't know how to lower my vocals that are louder than the rest, this is great!
For sure bro glad it helped! You'll be Makin good sounded stuff real soon🙏🙏
@@FrogToneMixing But I don't have mic or anything! I'm recording from my phone's mic can I make it sound good?
You can for sure! It won't be easyz or the most professional sounding, but it can do the most important thing, which is get the message across to the listener 👍
@@FrogToneMixing Thanks bro!
Thanks for the knowledge 🧠
I learned so much thanks to you !!
🙏 appreciate that and glad it's helping!!!
You sir, are awesome!
Ayy appreciate it! Glad it helped!
Very great, I love it. I hope that I will be able to upload some covers in the near future.
For sure thank you sm! Glad it could help, if you ever need instrumentals too, ytmp3.cc/en13/ and paste the URL of an instrumental in there, download it and you can put it into Soundtrap 👍
Legend
Your teeth are in perfect shape.
This is FUCKING amazing!
Thank you so much🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Amazing vid. TY
♥️
what a helpful video! Thanks alot
Thank YOU Lito! Glad it helped, part 2 coming soon!
@@FrogToneMixing Looking forward to it! It's hard to find mixing tips for soundtrap so these videos will take my stuff to the next level. An in detail video on the compressor and the parametric eq would be very appreciated as well.
@@Torp_prod YES ive been toying with that ideas for the eq and compressor because they are like everything, super important tip, thanks again Lito!
Nice one. I think you forgot the glasses.
Appreciate you alot!! But one question, does the things you went over for reverb applies to slapbacks?
Hey r u still creating music?
💯💯
Everytime you say something is essential. I do a shot. Now I'm drunk asf
i am very overwhelmed and maybe this video isn't for a beginner like me but i am trying lmao
Absolutely no worries! I meant this as kind of like a book of a video. It isn't meant to be all absorbed in one sitting.
Just make sure you fully understand just 1 topic from the video and then move on. It took me forever to get perfect at comping the vocals, let alone recording the good takes, so don't worry! If it gets stressful, walk away n start again, it's wut I did when learning. Taking it slow is a great way to make sure you learn things👍
@@FrogToneMixing Thanks for the advice! I'm really just trying to make a cover with an existing instrumental for fun, but I've never done it before. I'm not really that great of a vocalist and there are some fast lyrics, with just a headset for recording, so I've been going around trying to figure out what I can do just to get off the ground since no one else is gonna sing it. So far your stuff is the most in depth and helpful, even if it's a lot at once, since you're actually explaining in concrete terms what's happening with the files and tracks and not zooming through everything like I've seen in other videos. And I've never done anything like this before, so I'm not setting my expectations too high, just tryna make it exist in the first place and I can always redo it later
Ay just saw this now but absolutely! I started Makin beats in garage band taking acapella versions of rap sounds and making them over beats , kinda what ur doing now expect I didn't have the courage to sing into the mic😅 I wish I had tho, so it sounds like ur more than on the right track. Super glad I got to help n I gotta send me the stuff through insta once you're getting proud of it!
@@FrogToneMixing I definitely will! It'll probably end up on my mega cringe second channel tho. And it's takin a while cuz i live with other people and there's no way I'm singing while they're there 😂
what's the name of the first song that played in the intro???
You should make a video about how to make a pro slap back and delay in soundtrap, cause there is no vid about it in RUclips.
ABSOLUTELY! I think I'm making a video today/tomorrow about free plugins, I'll mention it in there, stay tuned.
Frog Tone - Mixing ok bet
hey do you know how to mix vocals while playing a guitar or any instrument at the same time on soundtrap because im really having a hard time editing a song i made with my guitar if you know how to do it please make a tutorial for that as well thank you!
I'll definetly make a video on this someday!
From what I can hear you saying, you have your guitar and vocal on the same track. If that's the case, you won't have too much control, it would be ideal to record both separately.
For now though, skip to 5:10 in this video and start with these Equalizer settings/shapes. That will help cut out the "mud" that will build up from both a voice and guitar.
If you have any more questions I would be happy to give more advice!
Can I collaborate with you. And you do the mixing?
Hey man hmy on insta @frog_tone for details!
@@FrogToneMixing I don’t have an IG do you have a email?
For sure! frogtonebobby@gmail.com
I'm making a song but the vocals are out of time with the beat. How do i fix this?? I didn't make the vocals and just sampled them with no beat behind so now its out of time. the vocals can't be remade.
Hey! What about using the Pop effect that comes in Soundtrap for vocals instead of using Computer Mic Enhancer?
You look like if David hasselhoff had a child with yandere dev.
Hey I dont understand the first ride I get the de esser and that but not the word by word and section by section part
Hey KB!
ruclips.net/video/spv2Tk1J_kM/видео.html
At 8 : 24 in this above video, I go over the "piece by piece" riding. You'll see u turn down a word that's louder than the rest in a phrase. I meant the same thing by "section by section," turning down a section if it's louder than another.
Hope that helped! Lmk anymore questions!
you look like a gucci michael reeves
😂🙏🙏
Wait at the beginning am I recoding my vocals multiple times and put the parts that sound good together
For sure yep! Comping is always the first step
@@FrogToneMixing okok thank this really help because of COVID I can’t go to the Stu
Bet ik how that feels, glad to help bro👍
When the app mixes down after exiting studio the result is much louder and more unbalanced than what I create inside studio, this is getting difficult to deal with, I’m new to the app, can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong? How can I mix in studio if the final mp3 comes out totally different?? Not recording vocals btw, it’s many tracks of synth and samples with effects.
This is probably the worst aspect of Soundtrap, they don't offer any support for customizing the mastering settings, or even simply a way to opt-out of it.
I have done some very lengthly ways of working with other programs to get work around the mastering. Let me know if I should share 👍
@@FrogToneMixing thanks for replying, I finally found out there is automastering with no control over it. Now I’m painfully adjusting a few tracks at a time in between hundreds of renders, blindly readjusting each time and about 80% through the song with slight satisfaction. I requested they allow us to turn the automastering off, this could be a great app then, along with envelopes beyond straight fades, and some automation for baselines and stuff. I’d love to hear any tips or alternative solutions besides repeated renders.
Ive downloaded audacity. Then would solo 1 track, and export it, then I'd solo another track and export and so on. I found the auto-master wouldn't touch a signal track as heavily, so I exported every track alone. I'd put them into audacity later, free to export as is.
Overall it took maybe an hour to get everything adjusted right, and some tracks still didn't sound exactly like the original, but it was the best sounding solution I had.
Those other tips about envolpes on fades is awesome man! I would love to see a bunch pro features like in an "advanced mode" possibly.
On the last part how do I move my reverb track a little bit to the right cause I tried to do it and hold shift and everything and it just wouldn’t go it would jump a lot
Hey! Zooming in very close will help it not link to the grid. You can also press the circle "magnet" looking button in the top right that is purple, and click it to make it white. That'll turn the syncing off, allowing you to move things without the grid, just make sure to turn it back on when you're done👍
@@FrogToneMixing ok thank you so much!
Np! Thanks for reaching out!
You are amazing!
The question must be stupid but can we apply automation on a wav file in Soundtrap because i recorded a vocal on a recorder then i imported it into a wav file?
Yes I can! Automation will go on any clip, MIDI or Audio file👍
@@FrogToneMixing Brilliant!
I just saw your video about combining Audacity with Soundtrap, that i knew but i did not know about how to import the plugin effects, now i know i just hope Izotope and Vahalla will work under Linux ?
Good thing you mentioned that because I just saw that valhalla's were not compatable with Linux
valhalladsp.com/faq/compatibility/
I will look for a good reverb/delay solution now that is compatable though, 1 minute
@@FrogToneMixing You deserve 100k more subcribers!
Thank you! And I found one!

I haven't tried this out yet, but it is a reverb hosted on this KVR download cite, which has been very credible to me in the past. Let me know how it goes!
where can I Find the full song at?

Only Mixed this begunning vocal chorus, but here ya go!
@@FrogToneMixing thanks, I'll be bumping this on the way to work.👍👍
Betbet🔥
The drum mixing and bass mixing videos I've actually used on a lot of stuff recently, but this is not how I'd mix vocals at all. I just don't like the way you mixed it.
Has anyone ever told you that you look just like Dave Bayley from Glass animals?
How can I harmonize on Soundtrap
Heyy if you can sing the harmony you want for a line, then record it over on a new track to lay them over each other.
Mixing wise I usually mask with eq, so slightly cutting one part of the main vocal eq, and boosting that exact spot in the harmonies eq. Also making sure you keep them a little quieter than you'd think, and not compressing too heavy will help!
Sound good? any other q's!?
hey can i add you to my track and you can edit it please
Listening, I'd love to, you cud hire me to mix if you'd want!
Frog Tone - Mixing how do i do that?
Dm me on insta and we can talk about rates and stuff👍
