DaVinci Resolve is a video editing software developed by Blackmagic Design. Its most recent version is DaVinci Resolve which works on personal computers with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux operating systems.
It combines professional tools to edit, color, compose visual effects, create graphic animations and mix audio in one program. Professional-quality audio editing, color grading, visual effects, and post-production.
Its modern interface is extremely easy to use, ideal for beginners, but also very complete for professionals. In addition, the program allows you to carry out faster and higher quality work dynamics, thanks to the fact that it is not necessary to learn to use multiple applications or change software.

👇Here's how to achieve this effect and place a background underneath:
1- Place the video on top and the text below on the timeline.
2- Change the composition mode of the video to Foreground.
3- Change the composition mode of the text to Alpha Channel.
Now you can place a background underneath the text.

I have most of the work done for my channel in Spanish, I just have to re-record with Davinci in English, correct the script in English and edit.
All this I can do in 1 day. In the future it will be 1-2 tutorials per month.
Excellent video. Exactly what I was looking for!
Excellent video, easy to follow, and able to utilize immediately. Thanks!
Me re sirvió! gracias!
if you want a white background:
set video clip to lighten instead of darken and set the text to black
(for white background you need a solid color from the generator tab)
In the pinned comment there is a different method to put the background you want, greetings!
@@SergiomotaENG I didn't read the pinned comment... whoops...
Thank you I will use what I just learned for my next video!

Thank you very much Tammy! I hope it works for your videos.😀
👇Here's another way to do it to be able to put a background on the black background:
1- Place the video above and the text below in the timeline.
2-Change the composition mode of the video to Foreground.
3-Change the composition mode of the text to Alpha .
Now you can put a background under the text.
sooooo dope!
thanks a lot, this helped me so much!! New subscriber! 💪

Really Nice video
Thank you!
Thank You!
Awesome!!!
GREAT tutorial... I have a loaded question... So taking this to next level how can I make the text scroll or crawl (however you like calling it) across screen continuously with the same video background ?
SO COOOOLL
Awesome tip! thanks for sharing. New friend here.
Tiiiiight !!
Great .thanks
With 18.6 this magic dosen't work!
5:00 im pretty sure you can make an instant keyframe to change from darken to normal but you can do whatever
Hi PoggersFloppa! No, you can't keyframe the opacity mode of a clip, but even if you could, it would be exactly the same, it wouldn't be easier or faster to do with keyframes, I don't see any advantage to it.
nice guide, but i would like to see how to add video inside text in fusion tab
I Love the tutorial! However mine seems to go in a incredible slow pace, is there a way to speed it up?
Thankssss
How do you remove the black background to have only the text video show? (great tutorial vid btw)
Thanks for the tut here. I have a question. I love to use crop-bars and when applying the crop-bars and include this vid inside text the crop-bars turn from black to white during the transition of the letters. I assume this is due to the color of the text is white. Do you know a way to avoid this?
Thanks for sharing! Clear and concise step-by-step guide. Just subscribed! Quick question, why are the text edges so pixelate (blurred)? Is there a way to fix that? FYI, I did a zoom in instead of a zoom out, ie. the shot ends with the text with the moving background and eventually the text fading out to white.
thx
I feel so dim that I didn't know this. I really had to "darken" my point of view ;).
It is something very simple to do, it is only playing with the opacity mode of the clips
but it's not something super necessary haha, don't worry about not knowing things, we are all learning.
*In the fixed comment I have added another way of doing it to be able to put a background.
