All I currently care about is the serenity powers for synthesis. Is it possible to get them w/out ragnorak or is it mandatory for them too? I'm trying to do as much synthesis grinding pre-Riku II as possible before all the enemies get way harder, which means no ragnorak for me yet.

So for the serenity powers themselves, you don’t need ragnarok - I usually use aerora and Ars Arcanum before i have it - you have a 10% drop for a serenity power at 40, 50, and 60 hits then 20% drop at 70, 80, and 90 hits Edit: but you do need Ragnarok for 100 hits, which gives a 100% chance drop rate of Serenity Power
@@nickmcsleighten Thank you! Equipping lady luck and as many MP boosting accessories as I could got me to 13 MP, and using aerora and ars arcanum I was able to consistently get 60+ hits. Still took a while due to relying on those 10% RNG chances, but I got my serenity powers! Also a note for anyone else doing the ars arcanum route: when doing the extra hits after the initial combo, stop after 5 hits. If you do the final finisher hit of ars arcanum, Sora gets locked into a really long bit of end lag. But if you end it early by missing the prompt you can immediately go into another ars with no downtime!

@@nickmcsleighten I cannot get the Ragnarok command to activate on this fight... Do you have any advice? I can consistently get 50s-60s just using 3-hit keyblade combos w/ aeroga but if I could get it to let me use Ragnarok I think I could consistently get 100.
@@mattROKX if you’re locked on to the body then Ragnarok won’t come up, it has to be on Pink Agaricus’s head Also I assume you’ve done this, but I’ll ask anyway: you’ve beaten the boss of Hollow Bastion and equipped Ragnarok?
Wait why doesn't your tree house have a hole? Pinky keeps dropping down when it spawns and apparently when you're on the net you can't activate Ragnarok.

The hole is made by sabor busting through the floor, if you return to the tree house before the heartless appear - its not required for Deep Jungle completion so I don’t so it; ergo no hole Now, as for not being able to use Ragnarok, I’ve never tried with the hole, but I’m sure I’ve seen videos of people doing it; are you certain you’re locking on to its head?
@@JeffCJY hm that’s really bizarre, cause as long as it’s above you, Ragnarok should activate You’re dismissing Bambi as well, yes? Limits can’t activate if summons are out
I didn’t know the rule about limits with summons, but I HAVE noticed you can’t interact with ANYTHING that uses the limit button (triangle on PS controller). This includes picking up pots/pumpkins to throw at black heartless. Dismiss those summons!
I have somehow gotten worse at this- I usually get somewhere between 64 and 78 hits despite having 16 bars of MP and hitting with 3 ragnaroks and 3 aerial combos with Aeroga on the whole time When I wasn't following any guide and had less MP I got like, 94 or 96- What could I be missing here??
ITS ALL THE TIMING I was grinding munny by looping district 3 and practicing my timing on the darkballs and now I get 94-96 consistently! Not getting the whiff timing on the ability is HUGE
@@nulljaeger3850 oh yeah the timing is incredibly important, you basically have to be perfect with your hits so that you can ragnarok on time Which reminds me: are you using 3 hit combo or 5 hit?
@@nickmcsleighten I don't think ive ever equipped combo pluses because the ground and air finishers are so good I wanna get to them quickly, so just the 3 hit combos I noticed that when I spaced it perfectly with no stray beams I didn't even need to do melee hits and I could just Ragnarok immediately again I also had my pink shroom on the netting under because I fought the jaguar again to open the floor so it was slightly different positioning
@@nulljaeger3850 the netting might be whats making it harder, the doorframe dissipates a ton of the ragnarok beams very quickly allowing for us to repeat it faster than we would otherwise If you’re able to do it immediately that’s great! If not, you can combo until the background lightens up again, cause Ragnarok causes the background to darken until its over which is a neat little visual cue to know when its available again

Mad respect for opening with your pronouns and having a clear, consise guide with a couple tips I haven't seen anywhere else yet! There are so many details that people tend to skip over when explaining how to set this one up for success
Some people are really passionate about political correctness to where they feel the need to do that upon introduction. I'm not a big fan of it myself, but I try not to let it stop me from enjoying the content people like that put out because of it.

Getting MP super high made a huge difference for me. Think I had 16 and the Stop lasting as long as it did made it much easier to max hits.
Agreed! 14 is the minimum you can do it at, but having 16+ is going to make the process so much easier
