      Your prices include the 30k service option which is not in the base price.

    • @ChinaDriven
      @ChinaDriven  Год назад +1

      @@jwickerszh These prices in the pinned comment were the prices directly given during the European presentation.
      The video prices were correct at the time of recording, since the announcement came out later about the 30K off and the loss of the NIO benefits such as free battery swaps. So the video prices still stand as I say owners can have 4 or 6 free swaps.
      But yes now owners can opt out of the free monthly battery swaps and other benefits in exchange for a reduction of 30K. Is this a long term pricing change…not sure.

    • @ChinaDriven
      @ChinaDriven  Год назад

      @@jwickerszh However, personally I think the NIO benefits outweigh the 30K reduction. SInce you’re safeguarded some what by any rises in electricity prices over the next say 5-6years that most will keep the car for. Also there’s pricing difference of swapping costs for electricity in different cities that people might want to take into account as well.

    • @jwickerszh
      @jwickerszh Год назад +1

      @@ChinaDriven The 30k also includes 10 years unlimited mileage warranty (don't know the details from the mobile app, unclear), 8Gb free data per month (lifelong) and 4 free swaps per month (lifelong). Also worth noting that this "pack" can be refunded (as a discount) when you purchase a new car later on OR passed on to the new car.
      So yeah, it might seem a bit steep if your not charging / swapping outside of home and don't necessarily care about the data but given that it is basically a never expiring privilege ... why not.

    • @jwickerszh
      @jwickerszh Год назад +1

      Speaking of which it might be cool to do a "buy guide" video checking all the options and whether they are worth it, I've seen some reviews comparing the base caars vs. options and what they would pick and why and it can be useful.

      the problem we have in here in Germany is the built quality of Tesla and the poor service. after 30k Km i saw videos that parts of the suspension need to be replaced , I have a 2004 Porsche Boxster with over 272k km on the clock and the suspension parts has completly being replaced at 262k km....to be frank the EVs are more heavier but still i would then use parts that withstand such forces and clearly those Teslas have been made with the cheapest material possible

      I really like Nio design language and that they bring some more luxurious features, like massage seats and better sound insulation. But we also know that an et5, even with a 100kWh battery has less range than a model 3 with just an 82kWh battery so they have some work to do with efficiency. As well as infotainmentsystemet.
      That combined with the much more refined charging network is probably why Tesla sells much more

      On the face of it:
      NIO ES6 = $46.3K
      Tesla Model Y = $36.1K
      But the base NIO ES6 is higher spec. So comparatively a Model Y LR is $41K and is a half second slower. A NIO ES6 with a lease battery costing $134/Mo. costs $36.7K
      And the equipment and features in the ES6 outstrip the Model Y. Things like full leather interior, CDC which on bad urban roads is a godsend.

      @@ChinaDriven I’m living in Yizhuang area of Daxing District, Beijing. Initially I was looking at the Model Y, I also looked at the VW ID6/ID4, Audi Q4 E-torn. VW & Audi performance is at best “lacklustre” and the 160km/hr top speed limit is disappointing (not that I plan driving anywhere at that speed in China). The Audi is basically the same mechanics as the VW ID4 with better trim quality. When I look for a new car I still tend to look at top speed and 0-100 times, fuel/power consumption, safety ratings and then the nice to have items. Tesla comes out better than the German brands but I think the Nio can be a serious competitor to the model Y. My only concern is that Nio is not making a profit and the uncertainty of whether the Company can survive. Currently there are far too many players in the Chinese EV market and many will not survive, it would be sad to see Nio fail as they produce well engineered quality products.
