I'm still shocked how your Oil Filters for both VRP Changes basically look like they didn't even see a lick of Oil. If VRP was actually "Black" and/or pulling deposits out of the Engine it should have shown on the filter some...
Course if the Engine/Car is one of those "Only Driven on Sunday" vehicles maybe you really did get a pristine vehicle... But can't say I've ever seen a "dirty" Oil and "clean" Filter like that before...
Particularly when VRP has a Reputation (Its "ActiveClean" additive) to breakdown the Deposits into small enough parts as not to clog the Filter... so basically the Filter "should" be the filthiest thing on the Table... The VRP Oil might be dirty but it also should still have a slight golden/translucent look... Which you kind of see in the (Pump? hose)... It isn't Opaque Black inside the Tube...
Fully Agree that I'd probably recommend skipping VRP in Winter Time... I had/have Oil Dilution problems (over 5%) last year and now after 3008 miles of VRP... Might have preferred running A Dexos rated Oil "just to be safe" (and to get a decent "baseline" of Data from "known" Oils before trying a "Cleanup". BUT my Ecotec 2.4L is known to be harsh/problematic in Freezing Weather so I was Hoping that my "Summer Results" (Oil Dilution down to 1.3% under "acceptable" 2.0%) would carry into Winter....
But I'm now on OCI#2 of VRP will probably do an Oil Sample (maybe check/replace the Cartridge Oil Filter Early) at 1000-2000 miles and change it before it gets above 2.0%
