  • Here we do a simple review on the grand General train horn mega-sized part number 69991. My boys are always after me about helping with RUclips and reviewing things and just in general being involved which I greatly appreciate. So here it is the review of the newly-installed train horn with a comparison to the stock equipment. We are now doing mainly farm work so feel free to Join our Facebook group Missouri Homesteading and Preparedness

    Lol, small world! I'm looking at train horns myself, and to my surprise I see Ames, IA on the side of the truck...👍. I'm on the east side of town. Nice review.

    Great way to bond with your kids, cool video too. I wish I could really tell the difference of the sound in person. Microphones never do these kinds of videos justice.

    These are good horns. I used to have them. I used a train horn valve. Ran ⅝ line to each trumpet.

    this video is very helpful! What size compressor tank are you using? That horn sounds great!

      Thank you. Im not sure of the compressor tank size. I added no additional tanks to my truck so I am simply operating off of the stock tanks.

    Hello! Here in Brazil we don't have much information about this horn. I bought it and it had a high-pitched sound, I would like to know if you know if it has a tone adjustment, I would like to make the sound more serious

    • @whitetailridgehomestead
      @whitetailridgehomestead  Год назад

      Did you use the electric valve it came with?

    • @hevertoneduardo
      @hevertoneduardo Год назад

      @@whitetailridgehomestead Hello, negative, I used the 1/2 inch valve with about 130 PSI. I use 12mm tubes. The valve is about 30cm from the horn

    Did you change hose size going to the horns or is it the stock size

    • @whitetailridgehomestead
      @whitetailridgehomestead  3 года назад +2

      I stayed with the stock size. I will say that it's not needed to have an additional air tank but at the same time it wouldn't hurt. But definitely not needed

      @bracsim 3 года назад

      Exactly, the selenoide has to go there is no need for it.
