And I had been learning Classical Greek,and greek philosophy , mainly Socratese,Plato and Aristotle, and Homeric Greek, moreover Koine by which the New Testament written in a national univercity for about ten years over half a century ago.In those days there are no Dictionary about Cllasic Greek written in Japanese.I had to use Dictionary printed in Oxford Univercity, and all the text books printed in England, Frace and Germany.You gave me old dreams and hopes, and remind me of the years when having many dream and hope I had been doing my best efforts. @@hmldjr Sappho lived in the 6th century. If you're going to try to bully people around on the internet you should at least try to get some of the basic facts right. Plus, although we don't know exactly what the dialects of Ancient Greek sounded like--there are some pretty strong theories that are widely accepted among scholars. You should check out William Allen's book, Vox Graeca.
