  • The Benefits of Safety Razors:
    1. Reduced Irritation: Safety razors use a single, precise blade that glides smoothly, lowering irritation, razor burn, and ingrown hairs common with multi-blade razors.
    2. Less Pressure, Less Damage: The sharp blade requires less pressure, minimizing micro-cuts and redness during shaving.
    3. Avoiding Over-Shaving: Safety razors offer better visibility, preventing over-shaving that can cause irritation.
    4. Minimal Contact Points: Unlike multi-blade razors, safety razors have one blade, decreasing ingrown hair risks.
    5. Customizable Experience: Choose blades based on skin type and hair texture for a personalized shave.
    6. Better Hygiene: Easier to clean than cartridge razors, safety razors promote healthier skin.
In summary, safety razors prioritize your skin's well-being. With reduced irritation, precise shaving, and personalization, they offer a gentler grooming option.

Just had my first safety razor shave last night, (i'm moderately hairy, 18 y/o)
In my opinion it's a lot more tricky or, difficult to use than the store bought razors. My face is usually full of red bumps one day after shaving, but today my face is pretty smooth, just one thing is i think i didn't shave properly so some spots of my face feel burnt, it's a really sensitive razor i should warn
Edit: I've been using a safety razor for 9 months. In my opinion it's a must-have hygiene product,
The blades also run out soo slowly, even though i use one blade for like 2-3 shaves.
For me, shaving with a standard shaving cream and then putting on shaving alcohol-cologne on my face works the best, i no longer have red bumps, rarely just some cuts that heal in 3 days

Before I just avoided doing close shaves because of how painful it was (using a 4-blade Harry's razor), and just used an electric shaver to get what I could off. Meh. Your mileage will vary. For me,. personally, this is utterly and entirely untrue. I suffer far worse razor burn from safety razors than from a simple, inexpensive double-bladed disposable. And yes, I'm using pre-shave oils, proper brush technique and the rest of it. Tried many times over the years with different razors, blades, soaps, oils, etc and it just never goes well. I've finally thrown in the towel and realized it's just not for me.

Have been using the saftey razor for 2 years now and the quality of a shave can't even compare to the stupid cartidge shave.
