A good tool to have is a cheap postage scale, that way you can weigh the product and put down exactly what the bag calls for. With the low number slow release stuff it's not as big a deal, but the with higher concentration fertilizers or pesticides/herbicides you can mess things up quickly.

Just a heads up on the sta-green max, I used it today I was a little weary about it reading many negative reviews about clumps but figured they probably were the usual clumps that you can just squeeze out this was not the case they’re actually hard rock fertilizer pepples that range from 1/4”-1.50” that can’t be broken up you actually have to siphon through the fertilizer and pick ‘em out or they’ll stop the spinning wheel from turning. I was only able to fill the hopper half way to make it easier to see the clumps and remove them still not sure how it’s going to perform but the process took double the time to spread 🥵
