I have a fake Moonswatch which I knowingly bought as i don't actually think the real one is worth the RRP. Everyone thinks it's real. The reality is, unless you come across a watch connoisseur, no one will question it.

This is hilarious. So let me get this straight: the fake of the copy will be easy to find while the plastic "original copy" is impossible to find. Meanwhile, the true original is easy to find from an AD, via the used market or even the gray market at a discount to the AD price.

Ebay already has an issue with counterfeiters to begin with LoL! And to be honest,.one can argue that the Swatch is actually a Corp board approved version of the Omega to begin with,.thers nothing particularly high grade about the swatch,..its body is plastic,..it uses a battery for its movement,.it not a true mechanical timepiece with some rare hadn't mad Swiss movement. The replica is not such a bad deal if you could get it for less than $50. You could get them on Aliexpress, but there won't be any logos. I bet the quality and consistency is all over the board at this point in time. I might get one in the future if a proven product becomes available. I have one lol. Theyre available js gtta know where to get em. Fakes are simple to spot js by a pic. Looknat the rop right sub dial on the fakes will act like a military time. As in if the watch is set at 6 o'clock the top rigjt sub dial will show at the 3 o'clock position. 12 will either be straight up at 12 orn24 military time or straight down at 6. It's hard to explain but easy to spot poshmark is full of fakes. The top right sub disl on the fakes ive seen moves when u set the time. Its basically the military time or am and pm buf dial isnt printed that way. The real ones if the chrono is set to 0 the top right subdial will always be straight up at 12 position. Watxh most on poshmark are set at 10. The subdial is not dead at 12. Idk if that makes any sense its hard ro explain but the reals arent worth it. Ive had both and actually like the smooth automatic style movement of the vk63 seiko movement than a damn swatch ticker. Anywhoo. Hope that makes sense. I sold mine for 200. Paid 35 for my fake lol
Just got lucky on friday the 13th. Didn’t need to queue up that long! Was just looking around b4 going to the doctor, the sales initially said no stocks but after waiting for my friend for about 10mins, the sales ask us wether we’re gonna buy as 7 pieces of stocks just arrived in their stores, so we jumped in! Got the Jupiter and its gone in 15mins! How on earth they only had 7 pieces as stocks!? 🤔 that crystal is really a bummer tho! Its just less than 24hrs already got scratches! Dunno if its the box causes it coz never touched the crystal!

The latest HQ fakes just came out last week in Asia. Highest quality fakes are sold for $110.30. You'll still find slight difference in color on the bezel and dial for all variant with light colors, and definitely no S on the crystal. If you get the Neptune, Earth, Moon, or Mercury, the colors and other details do match (except the S on the crystal). It's worth buying if you want to wear this watch for fun because it's gonna break as easy as the original, more or less, same durability, different movement. For collection, ofc not, it's a bad idea to collect this series. Some of this variant will lose color/discolor very quickly. But, I'm not gonna judge, buy what makes you happy, like a real moonwatch for example.
With the amount of PolyWatching you'll have to do with the original, the laser etched S will be gone within a week anyway 😂

The new fakes 'replicas' are fantastic and are ceramic! I have a real moon Swatch and bought a fake mission to mercury and it's fantastic! In some ways it's better as it has glass instead of plastic and I think the ceramic is actually painted aluminium! It would fool someone easy as it comes with all paperwork including a receipt lol 🤣 for £60 you get a very very good replica

The original is a nice watch but seems too fragile to be worn, more of a Collectors piece that sits in a cabinet.

Here in the philippines fake omega x swatch are selling like hotcakes and of different variety from metal casing to plastic casing to ceramic casing. Prices range from $15 to as much as $50 . At first it was sold at $80-$100 and prices has gone down now. There is even one sold at less than $5 with a no working chrono.

I orderd a fake one and it has the 1/10 sec dial at two o'clock position, but it just turnes with the hour dial but not while using the stop watch functions......am I alone?

Is the S on the crystal always on the middle or not?
The watch itself is pretty terrible anyway. The only real discerning difference between the cheap rep (which you can now buy for $30) and the real watch is the working chrono. The fake will need to be priced much higher with a working flyback chrono. I suspect this will not deter people from buying the as the rea Moonswatch feels pretty cheap in hand anyway.
They have improved quality and price since this vid was published.

The fakes are actually going for upwards of 400 I just paid almost 300 and haven’t received it yet but already know it’s a fake based off the the extra e in tachometer if I spelled that correctly. Would rather buy original at any price. (RRP that is. Will not pay inflated eBay prices). Having contacted swatch customer services though have been told they will not be selling online. As I live over 200 miles from a swatch store I won’t be buying one. If these were £20/30 I might have bought one to be going on.
You can get a similar looking moonswatch on Ali Express for around 35 euros. They call it the Space Watch, it doesn't have any brand on the dial and I don't think the chronograph works at that price. I have ordered one, just to see what it's like.
@@michaeljones1475 let me know how you get on. Have seen these on AliExpress and initially they look almost real but on closer inspection the plastic looks like really cheap shiny plastic. Also, i would hope the chronograph functions do work.

not only are the fakes selling directly for $100-$150, but stockX is selling fakes like crazy and selling them as "authenticated" by their employees and supposed to be real, for $400-$600 depending on model. I am waiting for one to come from StockX and I am not at all hopeful that it will be real. Interesting to see what they'll say when i attempt to return them and/or file a dispute with my credit card company?? Anybody have experience with StockX?

Ne ho preso uno fake Mercury allo stesso prezzo e a quel prezzo è pure in ceramica con vetro zaffiro (infatti ha un certo peso), se penso ai 250 di quello Swatch in mezza plastica e vetro policarbonato mi metto a ridere, va bene comprare originale ma a parte la scheda tecnica ridicola che non giustifica assolutamente quel prezzo non mi viene proprio da comprare un orologio che se si rompe il movimento lo devo solo buttare, questa mentalità anti ecologica Swatch deve cambiare
