I dont know what you and the comments are talking about, it is incredibly easy to tell which is the fake by quality. The only reason someone wouldn't be able to tell is because you chose to not compare to the real mercury, where the difference in quality would be even more obvious.
The Mission to Mercury colors is totally different, it has a greenish hue on the dial. It's supposed to be dark grey, no? Also the strap is beige, it's supposed to be dark grey as well. Or am I color blind?
Easy. The original ones with the small hand at the 2-pm dial always point all the way up at 12pm. In fakes the subdial do not work at the chrono function.

I am against buying fake watches. It is more honest to have something cheaper, but authentic like a Casio i.e. than a superclone Rolex, just to be someone you aren't. But in that case, Swatch may have done something way too wrong. Firstly, it is nice having omega badge on your watch (i think swatch owns Omega brand) and it has nice design as watch, but honestly almost 300 euros or dollars for a "plastic" (bioceramic states but it is like plastic) are way too much money. Shortly after ,a lot of people discovered that a Moonswatch faded away its colour on the wrist, makes it even worse. Someone who gives that amount of money to buy a nice watch, doesnt expect to has this kind of problems. Secondly, it is super easy to copy that watch, because it has cheap parts to copy. A lot of people said that the fake ones are much solid watches with better quartz movement. For 30$ I might buy one only to have as a backup watch for my house activities. In conclusion, I firmly believe that anyone should better buy a watch authentic at a decent reasonable price (in that money you can buy a nice Tissot Chronograph that is authentic, swiss made and more solid than that) and that is the big fraud of the Swatch company. That they chose to make a watch that is plastic in its base, with cheap parts and overprice it without reason only because Omega brand holds the value.

$20 fake - now build a $50 dollar fake - how much closer would it get? I own Rolex and Omega watches but quality for money is always a question. Homage watches (near too but not fakes) get very close for 1/50 of the price.
I imagine a $50 fake would be almost identical to the original. Although I think it would actually be better, sapphire, metal pushers, higher water resistance...
I appreciate watches, but with the Omega x Swatch I would produly wear the fake one, because that would mean I didn't get scammed. It is already a low end "tribute" to the Omega one, so why could I have a better quality/price ratio watch that makes the same thing?
Real one will cost less than £20 to make. However the money gone into development, design and all the high end machinery to make such watch cost a lot more in comparison to the ones fake use
They are indeed, they seemed to have dropped around 20% which is good. I think people are starting to realise that these aren't as much as an investment watch as first imagined.
Why is it scary how similar they are? The fake like any Swatch is a disposable watch. I've had many Swatches over the years, and I like them a lot. But the plastics eventually become brittle, and you have to throw them away. The fake is so close it doesn't matter.
You forgot to mention at least two other things like 1- the subdial at 2" in the real one, that counter hand always points to "12" position as part of the Chrono functions, while the fake points anywhere coz it is a 10-hr subdial, not a counter dial and not part of the chrono function. 2- The Chronograph seconds hand ticks once per second on the real one, while in the fake it ticks like a mechanical chronograph. The reason for that is coz the Real one uses the ETA G10-212 plastic quartz movement, while the fake one uses the Seiko VK6x metal movement. I actually prefer the functions of the ETA, but the Seiko is a better movement so the replica is kind a better watch than the real original one, and will last longer and can be serviced when needed, not the original.
To be honest in the moonswatch case it's such a pathetic bad joke of a watch that I would rather buy the fake over giving my hard earned to Swatch group.
@@TopTierTicker still the worst release ever for me. Made a fortune so job done but pissed off millions also 😂 by the time I got a real one the anti-climax hit me. Sold it in 3 months and bought a Seiko 5 special edition. Never looked back 🤣
The real criminal here is Omega putting its logo on a cheap Chinese knock off Swatch, calling it an Omega and selling it for 15 times what the actual fake sells for. When you compare the fantastic build quality and price of Omega built 20 or 30 years ago to this rubbish you know you are being ripped off.
Now a year later the replicas have gone a far way. I purchased a couple of the replicas and I can tell you EVERY difference mentioned in this video has been fixed and this thing is undistinguishable from the real thing. Even with all the fixes it still is only $20.
A fake that's better than the original! I love the irony! Shame on Swatch. And oh -- you can try the fake on your wrist, which you can't do with the real one, and the store says these instructions come from the top (Swatch head quarters in Switzerland). For these reasons, I'm bot buying anymore Swatches.
I think it comes from the fact people can't get hold of the real deal. Not being able to order one online and not being able to get the exact model you would like from the store means fakes like this pop up and people would rather buy them then wait for an original.
I bought a mission to Mars and I like it but it’s definitely not worth the price even at retail it’s just not a quality watch. I really like it especially the strap is cool but again not worth the price tag. Great video as always!

Mine fake MoonSwatch has sunken sub dials and branded crown. The back is also pressed not printed. It is made of plastic. The chinese have stepped up the game
What's so shocking about this? That companies that can make convincing copies of real watches like Rolex and Omega can make convincing copies of McDonald's toy watches? Two words that should never be used together "Legit" and "Moonswatch". The Fauxmega Moonswatch is a fake watch to begin with so I absolutely LOVE this! How hard can it be to reproduce a cheap but overpriced piece of trash? I want one just to spit in Swatch's face and I say this as someone who owns a Tissot.
I thought these looked neat at first but man the more you look at the moonswatches the worse they get.. they had to call it bioceramic to avoid calling it a plastic watch as well 😂 If they were cheap Swatch watches then I think they would be pretty neat collectibles but people are basically paying hundreds of dollars just because of the Omega and Speedmaster logos on the dial. Funnily enough companies have copied the moonswatches and made them out of stainless steel and with sapphire crystals for quarter of the price
I doubt the real ones cost more than $20 in material to produce.

Exactly! I'd rather just buy the fake one lol
It 100 percent cost less than £20 in materials in the genuine one. Even genuine high end watch aren't as expensive as you think to make.

Just for materials and not other overheads, I'm sure it would be far less

To be honest in the moonswatch case it's such a pathetic bad joke of a watch that I would rather buy the fake over giving my hard earned to Swatch group.
You want to tell me that a 25$ fake manages to make a better build quality watch than the original …. Bruh
For the price I rather like the fake, where do I find one? and do they do a Saturn version?
Great video 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching!
@@TopTierTicker still the worst release ever for me. Made a fortune so job done but pissed off millions also 😂 by the time I got a real one the anti-climax hit me. Sold it in 3 months and bought a Seiko 5 special edition. Never looked back 🤣
Please tell me where I can buy a moonswatch for such s price. Thx
Mental gymnastics to justify paying more for less.
Will that fake dial fit onto a vk63?
I want a fake moonswatch with an upgraded leather strap. 👌🏼 Wear it until it breaks or falls apart for everyday work.
I'd kinda like to know where I can pick up the $20 iteration...
@@Recoil_Ready ?
What site for fake ???
Link of the fake?
Seems like better value
Where do i buy the 20 dollar one 😅
The real criminal here is Omega putting its logo on a cheap Chinese knock off Swatch, calling it an Omega and selling it for 15 times what the actual fake sells for. When you compare the fantastic build quality and price of Omega built 20 or 30 years ago to this rubbish you know you are being ripped off.
Can I get the link for the rep watch
Paying $300 for an $8 watch is ridiculous.
Link to clone
Does anyone know where I can buy one of these?
Now a year later the replicas have gone a far way. I purchased a couple of the replicas and I can tell you EVERY difference mentioned in this video has been fixed and this thing is undistinguishable from the real thing. Even with all the fixes it still is only $20.
yeah, please just tell us at least the name of the site you bought it from 😊
Where from please I love these watches but cannot afford a original.
I think the Fake Mercury with khaki centers is better than the real one lol
i like that color
A fake that's better than the original! I love the irony!
Shame on Swatch. And oh -- you can try the fake on your wrist, which you can't do with the real one, and the store says these instructions come from the top (Swatch head quarters in Switzerland). For these reasons, I'm bot buying anymore Swatches.
Authenticity is important, but the end of the day it's just a watch. If a watch cost more than $100 your paying too much. 😂
i have a fake saturn version and the sub-dials are the same as the original ! (I payed $25 for the fake)
Give me link to buy the watch
The only question I have here : Who is utterly stupid enough to copy a Moonswatch?
I think it comes from the fact people can't get hold of the real deal. Not being able to order one online and not being able to get the exact model you would like from the store means fakes like this pop up and people would rather buy them then wait for an original.
absolutely SHOCKING... I'll take the £20 version please, thanks
The fake looks better than the original, extra weight is not a bad thing as is the better strap
I bought a mission to Mars and I like it but it’s definitely not worth the price even at retail it’s just not a quality watch. I really like it especially the strap is cool but again not worth the price tag. Great video as always!
Yep! I like my Moonswatch Pluto but it's just not good enough quality. I'm worried about hitting it against a door and braking the damn thing. Mines actually listed on ebay at the moment and I'm looking at picking up a speedmaster automatic instead. Thanks for watching mate. I appreciate you!
Can i get a link on fake one 😅?
They’re probably about the same quality too at the end of the day. LOL.
For $20 you get a cheap plastic quartz watch.
For $600 you get a cheap plastic quartz watch.
I know what I’d choose, let the fools pay the scalpers 😂
Where can I purchase the fake?
The copy actually looks like the better alternative. I mean it's made of steel and you can take the back off.
....Where can I get one??? 😂👍
I thought these looked neat at first but man the more you look at the moonswatches the worse they get.. they had to call it bioceramic to avoid calling it a plastic watch as well 😂
If they were cheap Swatch watches then I think they would be pretty neat collectibles but people are basically paying hundreds of dollars just because of the Omega and Speedmaster logos on the dial. Funnily enough companies have copied the moonswatches and made them out of stainless steel and with sapphire crystals for quarter of the price
People making fakes of the Moonswatch (cheaply made plastic tat) is some Rick & Morty level nonsense... it's garbage to begin with.
😂😂😂 That's true. But if there's a demand, there's a product.
@@TopTierTicker absolutely!
That's it, I'm convinced, I'm getting a fake
Anyone got a link for the 20$ tho
Easiest way to spot the dif at first glance the real 10 0 clock sub dial re sets to 12 o clock and on the fakes it does not
Bought one sure its mecaqaurtz the hand sweeps instead of ticks.
oh but i do suppport replica watches you gotta understan not every one has rolex money or gets paid by youtube
Where did you purchase the fake one tho?
Seems like all the clones have been purged from AliExpress
Where you buy this clone? Please answer!
