    I wonder how many people realize that this 540 with RFD heads and a gear change it would make 3400 RWHP.
    This is a nice gas street strip setup. Steve is a top notch guy.

    How do the procharger gear drives work on the street? Are they 100% streetable or would the belt drive be better? For vibration and durability

      @1320MotorWorks Год назад

      @@nalley6815 At that high of an output, the steel rods transmit all the force to the bearings and the crank is the only thing I can think of why not. At the 1500hp range, mine held up just fine. I've since built a aluminum 540 with aluminum rods to take advantage of the shock absorbing properties 😃 steel rodded engine is still going strong lol.

    • @nalley6815
      @nalley6815 Год назад

      @@1320MotorWorks makes sense. So I’m planning on building a 540 or 572 drag and drive engine. I’d like it to make 18-1900 at the tire at some point. So billet alum rods would be best? But I’ve also read don’t use alum rods if it’s gonna see a lot of street miles. Idk what to do 😂 there’s so much information out there online and a lot of it says 2 different things.
