Mr. Morris just wanted to state the obvious. Your engines are extremely extraordinary. The engines you and your team build are the fastest artwork in the World! I really don’t think most people understand what you have accomplished, by building a reliable engine you can drive to the drag strip on pump gas, and then with a few changes, one be fuel. Pull up to the lights, the green lights up, you set the engine free, and 6 seconds later you just went 200 mph. There are so few people in the World that are lucky enough to live through that, and your engines make it possible. Thank You for sharing what you do though RUclips. Your story and new updates have been inspiring.
Everybody's views are down this time of year. The kids are getting back to school there's a bunch of stuff going on it'll pick back up. THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION YOU GIVE US BROTHER.
I can vouch for that for sure, my kid is a freshman this year and his schedule is insane. The shop where I work has slowed down a little too, always does at the beginning of the school year. It'll pick back up after labor day.
I've noticed the passed month most of the channels I'm subbed to haven't been making as many videos. I had to think about it ans was like. They probably doing stuff with family before school starts.
You’re the man Steve. Heard about you probably close to 10 years ago. Glad you’ve gotten some serious recognition for your skills with a engine. The SMX and SML are gorgeous powerhouses
Steve i could listen to you all day long, absolutely love these videos as does wifey. We not even v8 heads ( import, 4,6, rotor etc ) but we cannot get enough of your knowledge and seeing the workings. I was just reading an article in Hot Rod magazine (December 2006 issue) it has a cool little write up on one of your engines and how to make 1,740hp on pump gas. The wagon is two-tone in the article and just went 9.57. Really cool to see how far you and the wagon have come!
4500+ HP in a street car? You guys have really taken this to the next level and then some. I grew up when 500+ HP was a hot street car engine. And, I learn something every time I watch one of your videos. That SMX is a Monster.
Did he really just say the analytics have plummeted? I’m shocked. There’s so much value in these videos. Huge fan, look forward to the uploads, thanks Steve
Great info Steve!! I have been wondering what the difference was. Just a few videos ago I figured out that the SML was using some off the shelf LS components. Thanks for sharing!
I stopped in here on a personal scavenger hunt to find out what Cleetus plans to put in his 5000+ hp car being built by CJRC Fabrication. Phenomenal video! Thanks!
Steve. I love your content! You always keep me watching! It's like the beginning of videos. Danger you may learn something. I find your videos so fascinating. Billet blocks, how you put sleeves in, your designs using the best of the best of different engines. Cobbling them all together to build the best and most reliable easy to get parts high horsepower engines to offer to the racing world. Utterly amazing! As a die hard mechanic who loves what he does, It is sad to see some people are not as drawn to see what you offer and the info on all your stuff you give to us as I. Please keep posting. To you and your crew. Keep up the fantastic work!
Steve your videos are so awesome, I'm an aircooled VW guy and have learned the majority of my V8 and turbo knowledge through your channel ❤ please keep creating the awesome content!
The machine work and appearance, SPOT ON The thought process behind every little detail . The mains , the extra bolt in the intake port. All signs of true genius. And not to mention a crap load of R and D, I'm willing to bet a few late nights as well. Great stuff Steve, it would be a honor to one day come to your shop. Look at Kyle's car in the background, how are the new pistons coming?
Great content, so impressed with your incredible knowledge and understanding of your engines and designs. You have a great ability to break things down into more laymen’s terms for us folks that really want to learn and understand how and what makes the components work as why and what makes them far superior than most other engines and builders. Thank you for sharing your knowledge as well as your journeys. Thank you again.
I guess the geeks that just want to drive it and not understand what makes it work just don't want to watch these. I have rebuilt many engines, and I still learn stuff Steve, so keep up the good work. In 20 years or so you will know how I feel about those kinds of people.
You said it best when you said "you can drive it thousands of miles and also drag race it.....and it will LAST!" Not many engine builders can say that with 100 percent truth.
Not being a jerk but I would assume the analytics have plummeted as the Cleetus content has run it’s course or you really haven’t had much going on related to him lately. I would venture to guess that a large portion of your subscribers were gained from him. With him hardly racing Mullet there’s really nothing draw that segment of viewers in. There’s only going to be so many people interested in the true hardcore technical info/content. Not a knock on you just the the attention span of the average viewer isn’t there and only getting shorter but that’s an entirely different conversation (thank you internet). Anywho what do I know, just some insight…
Awesome ty for the flow rates, obviously there has to be a sacrifice of strength to tolerances. Extra clamping force always wins..... just add more boost!

Steve really love seeing the engines together to compare, my very first job was in an automotive machine shop, later went for more money but missed out on doing what I truly loved. Thanks for brightening up my day
Fantastic video. These pieces look so beautiful. Love the content. The videos are getting better with each one. From the editing, to the camera work, to the actual content. I think others are saying no click bait BS either. Keep it up. Will the drive week videos be here or another channel? GL.
I really enjoyed the podcast with HPA(Andre)! Much love to yall at the shop.. You're a rare breed, Steve, you're cylinder heads are immaculate (how can you worry about 10hp at >2000hp, if it doesn't live, it doesn't matter). These combinations are incredible!
Hey now, I've been following your builds even before you got your 1st CNC mill, when you contracted out for Cnc. If I had the funds, SM engines would get it. I remember when you where a port and blueprint shop
As other people have said, I think views always drop in August due to people being on vacation and out enjoying the last of the summer. The content is amazing as always, I'm sure the numbers will be up again once fall sets in and the kids are back at school. Keep up the great work, looking forward to seeing how that torque converter performs.
algorithm lovin for your engines. I remember doing contract work for Schilling Robotics at a CNC shop when I was a highschool kid 25 years ago. Nothing quite as pretty as a brand new chunk of billet turned into something amazing.
Looking at the cylinder heads, just beautiful… I think I need a cigarette 🚬, and I don’t even smoke 💨… just beautiful design, unbelievable engineering.. you are the master… 😎🇺🇸
Steve, you're like a proud dad showing off your babies, and for once I could honestly agree that they are beautiful. Thanks for sharing and great work!
The torque converter. Hmm well since its a Chance convertor i think a bolt together unit this can be beneficial ..i think Georend does this also. If its not a lock up unit then i say its designed in a way to more efficient.. i think i read a short article about a power pump converter. If its a lock up unit may be it can be using along with traction control. Whatever it is i sure its very good piece. Enjoy the videos
I watched your video where your son and you did the interview. It was great. The thing I saw was your perseverance on your idea. You never left that. Good Job.
