I've seen Wilco and Jeff Tweedy solo many times. I was at this show and it was positively stellar, one of the best shows I've ever seen. Jeff's voice was in beauti -full form. Unforgettable.
This is beautiful art...simple as that. When a performance of a song can transcend the song itself. The performance coerces one to be present and live in the moment.
I only watch this video once a month because I want to stop and be reverent, just as the band is. It's interesting to watch the Jeff and the boys teach the audience how to be *reverent*. That's something we aren't used to, but something we can clearly still grasp.
If you mean the tube... It's called a Mani-Tom. It's an air hose attached to the mounted tom and floor tom(in this case), allowing him to change the pitch of the tom at will, simply by blowing air into it while playing. www.glennkotche.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/mD_07_05.pdf

Incredible. That's as good a live performance of any song I've ever seen. I really hope they release a film of the concerts and rehearsals etc.
I've got reservations about so many things, but not about the beauty of Wilco's art.

Wilco nails it again. Our sorrow, against, hope and desire. brilliant.
Jeff Tweedy is one of the greatest songwriter, singer, band leader that ever lived.i had the pleasure of seeing Wilco twice.unreal experience
This is pretty incredible, and shows just how well-behaved and respectful Wilco fans are. Impressive.
Well gosh! That's a pretty fucking extraordinary arrangement of that song!
Got to see this amazing show after watching the Cubs win 21 - 0 at Wrigley. Epic Saturday in Chicago :). Gosh I hope they release this show.

I absolutely love how they all stand/sit still at the end. The reverence, the gratitude.
100% agree.
I was there !
Of course, I’m drinking a 9% abv, for breakfast, but the end of this video, brought tears to my eyes.
It doesn’t have to be this way. If you want support, message me.
Thank you, Dylan Glover, for your kind reply.
What a night. Just an absolute treat.
