    Just a tip. I’m a heavy equipment mechanic at a mine , and we use bulkhead fittings all the time for the underground gear for all the hosing. I would just give them a tac weld once you tighten them because we see it all the time that if you don’t just the jarring and shaking of the equipment they back off and then start rubbing and eventually start leaking , looking awesome Nate !!! Keep up the amazing work man. I’m soo excited to see that zuk back and can’t wait to see what it can do . That zuk is what got me into wheeling back in the day 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

      On aircraft regularly we would see safety wire used between the bulkhead and hose fitting

    • @DirtLifestyle
      @DirtLifestyle  8 месяцев назад +1

      Tack where? Between the hose fitting and the bulkhead connector? Or the bulkhead and body?

    • @mikemacnaughton5402
      @mikemacnaughton5402 8 месяцев назад +3

      Safety wire would be a far less permanent solution in my opinion (also an aircraft mechanic, so I'm a little biased) but if you tack a small L bracket with a hole in it near the actual fitting and then drill a small .036" hole through one of the corners of the bulkhead fitting jam nut you can wire them together in the tightening direction and that will do the trick :) you can even use one L bracket and safety multiple jam nut fittings to said bracket.

    I have a friend that uses a small air cylinder on his mog axles. And depending on set up, they can default to locked or open in case of air loss. I have had mixed results using electric actuators like those. They can get hot and weaken the magnetic field holding them. Nice work and i look forward to seeing it complete.
