    100% bought both the rails and crossbars from your video and they installed super easily on a 2013 Honda CRV. Was extremely easy to install. Thanks for saving me lots of headaches looking for a solution

    I have a 2014 CR-V Touring model that I bought used from a Honda dealer in 2016. It has the side rails, but not the cross-bars, which I have not purchased. It does have the access hatches in the side rails which you said do not come with the OEM Honda rails. I have always assumed that the side rails came standard with the Touring model, but perhaps these were a dealer installed option. I don't think the previous owner installed them, since I believe it was a leased vehicle.

    Great instructions on the rails. I bought a similar eBay unit. The rails went on OK, but it was impossible to line up the bolts of the cross bars with the nuts in the rail. The nuts are just pressed into the rail, and they spin out of the plastic from the side load. So I have rails that serve no purpose.

    I’m about to install the side rails today, thanks for making this video! Update - they must have realized the bolts need an Allen wrench, not torx, because they include an Allen wrench.

    • @LadybugAdventures
      @LadybugAdventures  2 года назад +2

      This is very similar to the OEM so I don't think there should be a problem. I would just check the box that you are getting make sure the spacing will work as the crossbars are not adjustable. I'm thinking of getting one as well. So if you get one before me let me know what you get!

    Hi, thanks for the very informative video! What material are the rails made of?

    • @LadybugAdventures
      @LadybugAdventures  Год назад +1

      It seems to be some sort of metal on the inside. I'm guessing steel. And then plastic on the outside. It really is meant to work those specific cross bars. I don't think I would trust to place anything else along other parts of the rail.

    Nice video! How’s the roof rails withstanded the summer heat? Some reviews says those plastic rails can warp in summer heat. Have you put some load on your cross bars since you installed your rack? Thanks 👍🏻

      My rails are fine. The base is metal and really the caps are plastic. I've only had about 50 lbs on it so far. Everything feels really solid.
