I’m 47 and a trainer and dietitian. Sadly I’ve been dealing with breast cancer and have had to remove my ovaries/block hormones. It’s taken a toll and definitely don’t feel like myself. In addition our family has suffered greatly in the last few years from major medical and financial issues. I appreciate your content so much. Life is hard, but your videos make it a more enjoyable even if I am no where near where I was just one year ago. 💜

Muscle knows no age. I'm 58 and lifting heavier than ever. I'm lifting heavier than most men decades younger!! Never let your mind tell you that you're old because the body will listen and start to show you. Thoughts become things. Instead tell yourself that you're getting younger, feeling stronger and able to lift even heavier than you did yesterday and your body will show you evidence of that. You will prove yourself right either way.
I am 42 and I DO NOT GET AS SORE AS IN MY 30S EVEN AFTER A 2 MONTH LAY OFF. 😮 Not cramps, not being disabled for 10 days despite maxing out on all machines in a new gym ( about 6 of them to mimic squats plus a hip thrust machine).
Yep like one minute you don’t need glasses for reading and then next you’re looking at your phone like it’s a Lion King moment. You wake having hurt yourself in your sleep too. And every day it a damn gruelling grind. Bed time is 8:30 and you’re barely conscious by 9pm

It was injuries that first brought me into a gym when I was 17.. Sorry to say it wasn't consistent. And years before I actually worked out and started lifting. First time a when I got our of the pool a lady put me on a table and had me do exercises. It was a few years later when heathclubs began to open up In 70s after I swam I was told not to use the gym. That I'd get too big.. I think there might have been jealous girls. Girl. duh, I didn't know.. 😢I tend to bulk up. I was never athletic. On the contrary. But fell in love working out. Enjoyed swimming. Especially on the beach. But pools were good too. Now I won't go into a pool. Haven't swam since 1988😢. Loved swimming in ocean w waves. I'm from NY so we have beaches.
@Dana invite to join me with the 54 yr old frame and 90 year old bones from parachute failures. Spent 6hrs in chemo treatment yesterday for RA and Osteo arrhritis. Which keeps me going in the gym and daily life.
