This is the Nigella I remember from about 15 years ago. I had just retired in 2006 and I'd been divorced for several years and ate mostly pizza and other fast foods. So my sister saw my weight starting to increase and introduced me to the Food Network and several great cooking shows. At first, I wasn't sold on cooking for myself but I enjoyed the entertaining shows with their colorful hosts. Bobby Flay, Alton Brown's Good Eats, Giada De Laurentiis, Iron Chef America, and even Guy Fieri were helpful in showing me how to cook simple foods, and soon I was doing all kinds of fancy dishes. Then I saw the beautiful and articulate Nigella Lawson and I literally fell in love with her and cooking. I think she helped me the most. It's great to see her legacy being preserved on YT!
oh Meta what a great experience
Thank you for sharing! I'm happy things changed for you. I sorely miss the "Golden Age" of Food Network. Now it's just competition show after competition show.
The way she talks about every single ingredient makes me want to eat and cook and eat and cook.... and eat.
Nigella has always been addictive.
Did you say addictive or addict? She's a HUGE cocaine addict 😅😅
Even though sometimes I do think her cooking seem under seasoned, I always feel smarter after watching her videos lol. It's her rich vocabulary and her way with words...
In one of them she literally puts chicken potatoes and veg in a tray In the oven as a quick dinner suggestion . So simple but Every time I make that I feel like a Michelin star chef .
HAHAAHAHA NOT COONALISA
I just feel she adds too little salt. Othereise...all good!
She knows the flavors of her ingredients and how they come together, so she doesn't really have to add extra seasonings.
oh pleeeeeeeze. Nigella knows exactly EXACTLY what she is doing. Your comment is not seasoned
Only Nigella could get away with cooking lamb shanks and homemade creme brulee and make it look like an "effortless, stress-free" dinner.
" I don't mind to be pretentiously eclectic!" Oh I love this phrase! So cute!!
She has the most wonderful descriptions and she's beautiful
She is naturally beautiful inside and out. I love watching her cook.
Watching her is therapeutic
The production for these videos is awesome. I also love Nigella's vibe. What a cool lady 😎
Produced by her late husband, John Diamond. 😌
Absolutely great production
My only gripe is she never scrapes her bowls and the frugal adult in me stays screaming.
Me too!!
omg yes! feels like such a waste!
Okayyyy 😅😂🥣
Hahaha
Ya !!! It is such a wastage of food/flavours that you have worked so hard to create.
I love Nigella. She brings such style and class to cooking.
this was the most elegant and relaxed cooking series of all time. I watched it on 'cable' back then, and recently have been reviewing it, just to confirm it is so.
"low heat if you're of the timorous bent..." lesson in british sass...
She tends to throw at least one obscure brit-phrase in per show. Timorous bent lol! And brits are like "my nan says that!"
I love how chaotic and filled up her fridge is. hehe like normal people.
I have never had crème brûlée work for me until this recipe came along. It’s my favourite dessert and now I can finally make it. Delicious!
What r the measurement s of the ingredients
@@mahakhan5254 you can find the recipe on her website. But when she says double cream, it’s thickened cream in some other parts of the world
It's not creme brûlée it's pudding, creme brûlée is made in the oven it's a flan
I find her incredibly soothing at the end of this extremely stressful week!
I’m guessing this was probably before we started to use the word “umami”.
these are some stuck up guests their faces are priceless
Just love her technique and gorgeous descriptions. She’s brilliant!!!
Nigella brought curvy body back way before Kim Kardashian. People forget that this was filmed almost 20 years ago.
Kim only brought surgically enhanced lumpiness to our screens. Black women were already happy to show their curves.
can’t compare kim and nigella. Kim is fake. Nigella is real. and Nigella are sooooo much more famine than kim.real women.
@@nhaho7057 famine she is not
@@warzachew5467 i think she meant feminine haha! Tiny mistake
Nigella brought gluttony back
she is perfection PERFECTION!!! She glides throw orchestrating a meal like she is symphony music
Watching Nigella is my cure to distress.
Oh, how I need Nigella this week...
She is drop dead gorgeous and can cook go Nigella!
She always seems to enjoy her food , I love that
Lovely adjectives everywhere! My parents loved watching her...
11:25 I like to imagine that her friends were asked to ask her where couscous hails from and are teasing her off-camera for her answer, hence the fit of giggles 😅
So good! Love Nigella!
I like the idea of one larger crème brûlée for dessert instead of the individual ones! 😊 great idea!
I always do a large .
Anchovies are absolutely delicious and so good for health!❤️
I LOVE HER!!
Nigella:There's something very calming about the smell of vanilla
Me: I couldn't agree more
Yes my favorite chef ❤❤
22:31 Someone didn’t care for the salmon starter! 🍣😣
Actually looking for this comment HHAHAHAHAH
Whatever I'm eating I watch her episodes it makes feel like I'm eating what she's cooking lol
"Supper time and the cooking is easy" 😂
"How hard was that" seriously.. 👍😀
I've always been under the impression that creme brulee is very difficult to make, well Nigella makes it look so easy to make. Lamb shanks are so tasty, but the lentils added to them makes it look even tastier. Thanks for sharing 👍
Food looks great! I swear Nigella doesn’t age lol
Nigella always cooks like she’s in a hurry to eat-very relatable queen.
I've always loved her beauty. 💖 For a moment there I thought this was a new video. But I guess not. No one can look like like she has never aged. She's just so mesmerizing. 😊
One of the classiest woman❤
She should get a Grammy award!
Looks so delicious and super easy .. nothing complex .. 😘😍
I've always loved her, and she is high on the list of women I'd switch teams for...lol.....but during the thick of Covid, starting March 2020, started re-watching her...fell more in love with her, and would just love to make dinner with her and chat and laugh...
I watch her shows to buy all the tools she uses. I love her cooking utensils :)
And how much you spent ??
@@nayanpune4971 a couple hundred so far. I ve the little whisk, soup ladle, the double-handled herb chopper, milk pot n few other stuff that i cant recall.
I would have taken the vanilla seeds out of the pod in the beginning. The little black dots would have been so much prettier!
Less flavour though. 👍
@@kurthubbard-beale5003 why less flavour?? you split the pod, scrape out the seeds, then you chuck the pod back into the cream with the seeds.
Wow beautiful food, presented beautifully by a very attractive intelligent woman. Yum yum yummy
all asians cringing cuz shes putting in the lentils without washing it first .. lol
She,always my fve.💕💕💕💕💕
Original super model! 🌟
she is mesmerizing
I would like to be her guest for dinner one day...😊 she makes it all look so simple and delicious. Love the way she goes mmmmmm so often. 😊
Good one 👍
Tag yourselves I'm the judgemental lady eating a single chickpea at 22:39
💀💀💀
I think it’s actually two peas
You can also put the lamb beneath the couscous. (To steam it)
OMG, Luv u, Nigella, but you discarded 90% of that vanilla bean hahaha
22:30 says it all 🤣🤣🤣
Bravo
The Virgo in me gets anxiety over how her shoes were just thrown in a pile!
You wouldn't survive in my house lol. We are happy when there is a pair 🤣
Love "like a mermaid's tail"
Love nigella! ..she always makes my mouth water as she's cooking lol 😆
I would ad tomato paste to the stew base… 😎
Yum! I love lamb!
And everyone says AMEN
Imagine being this iconic.
One delicious item is missing on the table: Bread!
You are so right!
Dinner 1: No veggies or salad served
Dinner 2: A very FISHY meal
Супер! Вельмi цiкава i смачна! 😋😊😘💛💛💛
And voile we have a tangle of taste,,,,I think she could make a "mud pie" taste interesting.
Well done. No histrionics, no brashness or coarseness, and a terrific no-nonsense approach. Why not more such videos?
Does anyone know which book of Nigella's these recipes are from ?
I like better braised than boiled.
Can the choc pudding recipe ingredients be found anywhere?
I think online.
The world most beautiful women ever big up from Kongo kinshasa ❤️❤️🇨🇩🇨🇩
She's the big sister I never had.
She’s so pretty👉👈
Effortless supper ideas
*crème brûlée*
❤️🌺
20 years ago lamb shanks were a cheap cut - not any more.
Every off cut seems to be expensive now because food shows make them trendy. Oxtail, even beef tongue can be pricey now.
I would never make any of Nigella's recipes, they always look disgusting. But I do enjoy watching her talk about them.
She reminds me of Sofia Lauren but more gorgeous, if possible.
I've just found you, Nigella... And I'm already in love with you.
What is the name of this dish
She is an amazing woman. Makes me want to switch teams. Almost.
Stunning looking woman.
👍👌👌👌
Why would you use water instead of stock?
beutifull kitchen the chef to
Raw egg 🥚!!!
8:17 -- Dalcha mutton !!!!
she's still sooo beautiful
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏super madam
they did Nigella dirty with that thumbnail lol
Party Time Nigella 👉👃+💳+roll it 💵 🤧🎉🥳
Her choice of words.
A quand une traduction en Français svp ? 😊
احبها كانت تطلع على قناة فتافيت بالعربيه ..
Is it just me who's bothered by the fact that there were 5 people to dinner (including Nigella) and only 4 lamb shanks?
There were 5 lol
Did anyone see her put salt into the dish? Or is all the savoriness to come from the soy sauce? Just asking...
She undersalts a lot. I was just watching her make a huge salad and the only salt in it was from poaching liquid she had the salmon in. Love the recipes but even salad needs salt. You could even say salads *especially* need salt.
