I loved it as well, for we've all eaten by the light of the refrigerator. She did say in a one on one, at the 92Y, (it's on RUclips and very entertaining), that she can't eat before bed anymore and she now keeps her coat with her when going to restaurants just incase she needs to make a quick departure. I relate...getting older isn't all about fun.
I remember YEARS ago discovering Nigella and have loved her ever since. Her style is charming, easy, and effortless. Thank you for these dishes during Covid.
Amy Lonsdale , yes... but I feel she was much more relatable back then, than she is now. She’s really hamming it up these days, trying too hard, I don’t know. She doesn’t need to try, cos she’s so naturally beautiful and relatable.
Brilliant, brilliant pacing and film direction as well. Something I feel isn’t mentioned enough is how perfectly these episodes are set, filmed, and directed. These things paired with the incomparable Nigella and it’s one of the best cooking shows of all time.
love how she throws the egg shells in the sink rather than in the basket. that's what makes the audience relate to her cooking style. she's so effortlessly gorgeous at everything she does
She simply is the best cooking personality out there. She's a total sexpot, witty, funny & yet extremely relatable to everyone are none of those things - how is that possible?? I don't know what made me think of her recently but I wondered what she was up to these days. It sounds like she's enjoying the fruits of her labor out of the spotlight & as much as I'd love to see her out there, I'm happy for what she has given us & the fact that she seems to have some peace in her life after some really painful chapters.
A wonderful and extraordinarily intelligent woman, FANTASTIC AND CARING MUM, and caretaker of the English language. I can only hope life now has more roses coming her way than lemons!!!
Seriously, those beautiful babies grating their own cheese is just the most adorable thing in the world! Edited to add: I made the lemony pasta and it was, as promised, incredibly easy and flavorful beyond expectations! It’s definitely going in my dinner rotation!
Yesterday evening I made the lemoning pasta and gosh! It was delicious!!! I love the way her recipes are; not complicated at all and you can still enjoy cooking while dealing with a busy day!!!
About the egg yolk: the pot and pasta is still quite hot, and the lemon juice "cooks" the yolk too. People have been making and eating pasta like this for millennium, no problemo.
@@unknownunknown7393 Your concerns are warranted, for while the Salmonella bacteria in undercooked eggs isn't likely to kill you, at some point in the middle of the night you'll wish it would. Use fresh, organic eggs from reputable source or hold back about 1/2 cup of the starchy water from boiling the pasta and add it to your sauce.
I found Nigella years ago...watching her add this and that and taking ALL the fuss out of the procees while still ending up with something delicious is what ignited my LOVE of cooking. I thank you....and so does my family😉❤
Discovered her show years ago and was in 🥰 Her delicious recipes are wonderful and seem to be effortless, which is why she's such a joy to watch, so down to earth. Thanks for sharing!
Love watching these shows. I am vegetarian, eating eggs and dairy, but find your recipes beautifully and elegantly presented. Thank you so much. Fondly from Margaret in Maine, USA.
Asian stores are gross. You have no idea how they peeled that garlic. It takes like 2 minutes just peel your own garlic. My Asian eats said and pigs feet and she never wipes the counter with any cleaning detergents and never buys dish washing liquid so the counters are always gross and I don’t even know how she washes her dishes. Probably just uses mine
Hello, thanks for sharing these easy tips. Totally understandable to be able to cook fast, when no time or tired. A small tip from me, which helps me really : two-three mushrooms to be sliced with toast bread, then goes in bread-toast with salt and oil. preparation time 4-5 minutes, easy snack/lunch to enjoy with coffee. Sometimes, I replace the mushrooms with Onions (Sliced)
I love this beautiful smart lady, you give me the absolute best ideas, I love to cook, it's like giving out your love, makes me so inspired & happy! Thank you🥰
Nigella, your cooking and recipes speak to my heart..., LOUDLY!!! 🙂🙃🙂 Thank you so very much for sharing your videos!! Have a wonderful weekend!! Virtual hugs from Bradenton Florida, U.S.A!! 💚 🫂💚
i'm making this pasta and sauce for the rest of my life, now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my lord, what a few incredibly simple ingredients can make!!!!!!!!!!
@@Asa-wv1zb holy cow! out of this world! thought as i was eating it, oh my gosh, what if I get sick? which DID happen to me years ago from old eggs! but i truysted her and googled and i was fine! i made too much so I gleefully ate it for 4 straight days! gotta have ALL fresh ingredients, including my tarragon, and the right triangle of parmesan! you have to make this!
I'm watching this with the playback speed at 0.75. She seems a lot less stressed and in less of a hurry that way, which makes for a calmer viewing experience.
One trick - warm bowls with the pasta water while you stir the sauce the pasta with the sauce in the pan and pour that hot water back to the pasta pot before putting in the finished pasta in case you need it. That way the bowls aren't cold and the pasta will stay warm longer.
I also add smashed clove of garlic and sometimes make pancetta when i want some crunchiness. i stopped adding tarragon. is too wonderful the way she makes it.
"I'm not adding much" as 300 mls sloshes into the bowl...... I love this woman! She never apologizes for eating well and what she wants. And that she has taught her bitty kids to be independent with a microplane.
Did she add salt and pepper to the chicken or the greek yogurt sauce? Must have missed that too. And yes I've adored Novella since I was 9, but her food definitely needs more seasoning.
I learned from various videos how to make the perfect (for me) lemon, carbonara, and pesto sauce pasta recipes this past summer, and I have to say they are the most delicious things to eat ever created. And lasagna with bechamel is up there too. Of course the Parmesan is integral to all recipes as it makes them that much more delicious. I am quite generous with it. Next time I make any of them, I’ll pretend I’m Nigella in the kitchen.
I'm a fan and have used a lot of Nigella's recipes from this series repeatedly, however there's a bit a humor in that while quick, fun and effortless cooking is the focus of her Bites' series, you can't help but feel a bit sorry for the person left with the clean up.
My favorite part of these Nigella videos is when she goes to the fridge late night for that leftover snack, always tastes better later.
Yes it does looks delicious 😋
I agree

Yes it marinates. Soup and pasta later or next day
Dips especially taste better I think
I remember YEARS ago discovering Nigella and have loved her ever since. Her style is charming, easy, and effortless. Thank you for these dishes during Covid.
Those babies grating parmesan cheese on their soup gets me every time. So stinkin cute!!!
I love how relatable she is. Imperfect perfection

she throws them in the sink because she probably has some garbage disposal thing below..
crude
She makes me cringe every time she throws the shells into the sink!
Sloppy, lazy habit.
it gave me anxiety of cleaning later lol
