The G85 is an absolutely amazing camera for video. You can still pack a punch color grading, it's obviously harder than 10bit 422 but it's so much cheaper. Plus, you are getting best in class image stabilisation.
Getting this camera as my top-view camera together with my sony a7 IV and this camera might be used as my travel camera too, I love the form factor, and I really wanna try MFT cameras. Super exited to get it next week!
I really like this channel and have learned sooooo much. I'm a very green beginner with a digital camera but have reached a point in my life where I now have a bit more time to figure some of this stuff out so when it comes time for my next camera I will have enough knowledge to know what camera will be the best for my future needs. I bought a very basic entry level Panasonic Lumix G85 with just the stock lens 12-60mm Power O. I. S. Lens and felt it was a good place to start with the tiny budget and short list of needs at the time. It has served me well and I'm still not ready to move up to another camera just yet because it still does everything I need it to do and the 4k video was and still is important to me. I have come to really like this little camera even with it's limitations. Ok...so my question is this. I would like to buy wide angle lens without breaking the bank {new or used} and would prefer to find a wide angle with the built in image stabilization to work together with the camera. Not a deal breaker without the built in stabilization but certainly preferred. I knew all these cameras and accessories where expensive but gosh it's just sooooo much money every time I look for this or that. Sorry....don't mean to complain because I realize that's just the way it is so I will just have to deal with it. Anyway...I'm looking for wide angle lens options if anyone is willing to help with some suggestions that would be greatly appreciated. I would like to get as wide angle as possible without the fisheye effect. Oh...and being Canadian means an added burden of exchange rates since most of the best deals are in USD and with our "northern peso" it certainly does not make things any easier...hahaha.
this camera is so much better than my sony zv-e10, except auto focus ofcourse but the IBIS and almost no rolling shutter and great low light performance. It's almost unbeatable ! If you want to get a great camera for beginner filmmaking, just get this and just practice your manual focus!
(Just an FYI I don't know anything about cameras) does the stabilization have anything to do with the auto focus? I want to get a camera to record pottery on the wheel so would this camera have an easy or hard time focusing on a fast pace moving object?
It's below average compared to other brands, regardless of the resolution shot at, but particularly at 4K. Aside from the fact that the camera struggles with autofocus, it is an otherwise excellent camera that is more or less the "total package", especially at its current price point. Recently picked one up new for $629 and I'm very happy.
@@puskibence414 I'm not sure autofocus would be useful in that instance. You can manually focus by touching your finger to the display on what you want focused and the camera will hold focus on objects at that distance.
In my opinion the photos out of this is not that good compared to the video. You can use for photos and videos of course but this camera is geared towards, video first, photo second.

most underrated filmmaker, thank you so much for this review
That meant so much, you made my day
so true, these shots are truly amazing

Great quality editing, and talking-over-video style!
This camera is so incredibly. Mine is working amazing and I am really happy with this camera 📸

Deserves much more viewes! Good video man!
Like your style describing the camera, simple yet convincing 😁
Thanks 😊
I have always been using the natural profile, I will try out your settings next time =)
I recently bought this camera new for $629 to record video and it's an insane value.
I’m going to upgrade to the Zve10 from this camera.
Is it any better?
Can you show us how your export your videos to maintain the best quality?

would this be a good starter camera for vlogging ? if not what do you recommend
Hello Sir... I'm from India and love Streetphotography so would you recommend G85 for this purpose in 2022 ????
Bro!!! Can you do a tutorial on how you did the editing in davinci resolve
In which settings did you shoot this particular scene 3:10
Nice bts clip at the end :)
Does G85 have log available for 4K video shooting?
Which lens you used in the intro video??
(Just an FYI I don't know anything about cameras) does the stabilization have anything to do with the auto focus? I want to get a camera to record pottery on the wheel so would this camera have an easy or hard time focusing on a fast pace moving object?
How is this camera so cheap…? This is beautiful
Awesome!!
How do you get the focus on point,
after my own research bought this used camera back in 2022..
awesome intro!
Did you use a speed booster on the G85 while shooting or no?
No i did not,
@@InTechxicated_SyedAsif Ok thanks!
I think this have 30 min max time for recording?
There is no time limit. You can go for either finish of your memory card or your battery exhaust it's power.

last month I bought a used g85 body for $ 437 and purchased a almost new condition 14-42lens for 135$
Which is better for product photography this one or the canon m50
I never used the m50😂
AMG fans here!
Hello! The autofocus is bad at 4k?

@@Nathaniel_Peterson So, if i want to make video of trains, this is not good camera of that, beacuse trains is moving fast, and the autofocus is bad?

@@Nathaniel_Peterson Ohh, okay, thanks for your answer.
Great work. Yet, I'd like to see videos right out of the camera, no post-edited.
Hv stabilizer in this lens?
Is it has, a pretty good stabilization system as well
for the sharpness of the image can be equated with leica?
@@almeranabila1091 I have never used a Leica lens before 😂
btw nice grading..
these few days i use davinci too, can i use your lut m8,,hehe
Owh thanks🙏 i have improved a lot since this video, i would highly suggest you to watch Waqas Qazi's channel to learn color grading.
What gives with people not taking photos with this? It’s why I want one - I don’t do video work really and have no real use for it.
This camera takes good photos, but in my opinion it has more video features which makes it a videocentric camera
Nice grading.
Thanks
Why wouldnt you get this for photos? That makes no sense. Its easily the best still quality for the price. Nothing even close, honestly.

Foodpanda di mana-mana.
🤣🤣
