  • This is one of the most intuitive, easy-to-use, great sounding human sounding drum machines there is, and what's more, it's part of the FREE app that comes bundled with every iPad and iPhone!
    There's a very good choice of drummers, acoustic, electronic and percussion - loads and loads...!
    It's a great way to begin your tune, and the drum rhythms are so good, that you can groove with them, and then a real drummer (remember - there is NO substitute for a real drummer who will play for a song) can record at the end.

    This video is 4 years old and it's still relevant and useful. In fact, it's helping me put a basic drum track together right now, which I was having trouble with. Pure gold, this channel. Good advice is timeless.

    Thanks Dan for some more ideas of how to use drummer.
    I use the Drummer Darcy when I start a project which always gives a good well defined base to work from.
    Then it is easy to switch to a different drummer as the project evolves.

    Thank you this was the best explanation of drummer that I have seen yet! I’m putting together an album of americana and folk thought I experiment with drums with you really have clarified a lot of mystery.

    Hi Dan, thx for another great video. Drummer is really fantastic wirh uncountable options which makes the difference to other drum apps which might have better drum sounds (which I think there are).

      Mr1Sundaymorning it’s so good isn’t it? The grooves are sympathetic to whatever is recorded with it and the joystick to select complexity and volume is inspired...

    Another great video, Dan. Could you do a video showing how to get a jazz or funk style drum track? I'm thinking something like Root Down by Jimmy Smith/Beastie Boys. I haven't been able to get that type of syncopation using the drummer feature, if it's even possible to get it to do that. thanks

    CAN YOU PLEASE !!! Make a video on how to use the guitar amps , effects , and pedal’s that are provided by GarageBand to get a good metal tone when connecting a guitar to an iPad !!! I can always afford to buy new apps and such when I get tired of using the effects I’ve purchased in the past ... It’s gotta be a way to get a usable metal tone but I can’t seem to figure it out 😟 !!!
    thanks ... GOD BLESS !!!

    You can vary the tempo of the loops as well. They follow the tempo of your project. They also follow the key.

    • @DanBakerMusic
      @DanBakerMusic  5 лет назад

      dannyeliot yes absolutely, but they become more fragmented the more you stray from the original tempo that they were originally designed to run at..
