  • iOS guitars can be very powerful indeed, and they can be played on the keyboard as well as the fretboard and smart “autoplay” features.
In this film, I discuss not only the keyboard features, but also merging tracks and then putting the iOS guitar through a load of guitar pedals and iOS amps! Possibilities, possibilities, individuality…..

Thank you! I've been wanting to know how to do this as I'm a keyboard player with no guitar skills.

I actually set my RUclips settings on “on” on this device just because of Dan…
I learned so much, I feel like anyone asks me, I can say,
“I’m a sophomore at the Dan Baker music school 🏫 “

I had absolutely no idea that those amps could be used in such a way or that they had such options - this is incredible! Thank you for your expertise on this! This opens up so many possibilities for their relatively limited guitar options!

Great stuff on using Guitar, pitch bend and effects. Folks (and FYI Dan) - watch out around 14:40 - that playback gets really piercing, at least on cheap headphones.

The lowest C note on this would be the same as the 1st Fret on the Low B String of a 7 String Guitar

Duane Allman he’s the one that created that riff or melody part of the song and I believe he recorded it too.

Dan I find as long as I stay within the bar that the original smart guitar note was vibrated within, I can raise or lower its pitch and even shorten the note and the end vibrato remains intact...

Thank you, Dan! Great video! Do you know if there is any way to make a guitar/bass glissando (not a pitch bend) using the midi editor?

Hi There! Yes - a glissando can only be input using lots of short notes, but making sure that each note lasts at least until the start of the next one - no gaps. It's better to make each note slightly longer, so there's an overlap..

@@DanBakerMusic Oh, ok! So no automated way to do it. Thank you so much for you quick response.

Might have to download from Apple again. Sometimes stuff does get removed, especially if you upgrade the iOS.
