Great video. I think you’d have a better result if you let it dry fully in between coats and sand in between coats but for what you did, the results are pretty good!
good video... honest showing of how it works. I bought some to fix lawnmower seat and driver seat in my truck... I'll do a video of those also to see how it compares.
Thanks, very helpful to me. Gonna try to fix the scratches in my Miata driver’s seat. Ordered my kit today and should have sometime next week. When it comes to things like this, I need as few steps as possible. 😉
Big improvement. After watching I think I’m going to hire a pro to repair mine for me. I’m assuming they might be better at repairing to where it’s less noticeable. Looks much better overall! Worst case scenario aria I bet you could hire someone to redo it for you if you cared that much.
They were cheap seats so I didn't mind giving this stuff a shot. It held up well for a long time. If they were nice seats, I would have had them recovered. This is more for people in a pinch or on a budget.
Great temp/diy fix! Tbh the product seems easy to work with. Agreed it seems for lighter tares or smaller holes HOWEVER this did well for such a deep hole
Thank you for this video..I had a different brand and lost the instructions; but yours was similar so you showed me what to do.. Came out great so thank you so much for your video instructions
How does it look against the textured leather ? I know how some kits come with swatches to make somewhat a matching texture . Not sure if that changes anything
You put a lot more effort into preparation for this than in many other similar videos on youtube, and yet the end result is still "meh". It tells me that these leather repair kits are always going to give a rather poor result, with the repair being extremely obvious. Stil, better than a hole or a tear I guess.
Nice Golf! I am using this kit on my MK4 Jetta. Glad to know my results look about the same as yours. Check out my channel for a 09a Valvebody swap if you ever need to do one!
You aren't wrong. Luckily it doesn't show up much in the car and has held up fairly well. If I ever do it again, I'll probably try a different kit that comes with the texture plates to help it blend in more.
yeah! It's more easier to replace the whole damaged part, you can only go so far with melted plastic repairs :) (I work with car upholstery for a living).

Definitely. If I ever do it again, I would definitely do some things differently.
Honestly it looks really good. To me it just looks like normal wear and tear on an older seat.
Thanks. I would do some things differently the next time around, but for now it worked. Still holding up too even after all of this time.
Looks good, beats a hole. Im using this on my m3 at this very moment. Your vid convinced me to get the same kit.
I hope yours turned out well. Mine has been bugging me the more I look at it.
Great share! As you pointed out, their videos showed how to repair slivers but not holes. So this coverage helped me out a lot!
Glad it helped! I would definitely do some things differently if I did it again, but it has held up pretty well.
@@PAStreetScene What would you do differently?
@@jo-nathan.thomas Take my time and try to smooth it out more before it cured instead of counting on sanding it.
@@PAStreetScene Gotcha! Thanks for that tip!

Awesome! Thanks
Looks good! They gave you the white to add a little to knock the "black" down a little bit to match the shade of your seat ...
Yeah it has still held up pretty well.

I got the kit, as well as a clear outdoor vinyl repair kit for awnings. Then use a vinyl fabric to create the "leather" effects.
Thanks for watching!

Good presentation. Not bad at all. Thank you.
Much appreciated!

Totally agree!

I would have probably done a few things differently but all in all it did the job.
Great tutorial thanks for posting I needed this to get started. 😊
Thanks.
Thanks for this. The instructions were a bit obscure. It was nice to have a visual!!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing the finish work look very good would like to order one of those kits
No problem 👍
We in almost, 50 states.
Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Like you already Derek!!
Thanks

If I was doing this again, I would get a kit with a texturizer. It held up good enough for now though.
Use hot heat. Well work better.
Thanks
Check out the website.
Probably could of got more for the R32 seats if you sold them instead
Yeah....a big mistake I made

Yeah, it was definitely a learning experience but surprisingly has held up pretty well.
how long should you let it dry before you can sand it down
They recommend waiting a few hours. When I did this, I let it sit overnight.
What do you call that napkin?
lol. It isn't a napkin. It was fabric.
Hi where in SA can purchase the kit
No idea. Sorry

Didn't turn out that great honestly

@@albertobello7599 Yeah. It was definitely a learning experience.
Catastrophe
Yeah....I definitely would do it differently next time, but it held up pretty well
Yikes
Yeah. If I were to do it again, I would door some things differently for sure.
Get to the point lol
Yeah this is a long video...although it made me giggle at the fact that you last name is Rambles while I'm rambling.
Way too long to watch and full of useless adds 🤮
Ok
Rude! People take time to make reviews and attempts to share with viewers! It's a learning experience!
