Just got the platinum last night. Took me 4 playthroughs cause I wasn’t paying attention during my first 2 runs. One of the best games I’ve played this year. It’s definitely my GOTY
Yeah I almost wish I had played the first time through without using a story guide at all. This is honestly a game I wouldn’t have minded playing through a 3rd time.
Great video mate. Got the platinum on this myself bosses I struggled with were laxasia and nameless puppet. It's good to see someone upload a video to show they struggled. Hate the videos that doesn't show you the deaths so well done mate
Appreciate the kind words! Yes, there many deaths 😆 I think showing some of them makes the eventual win even more impactful.
@@Retro_R2 I beat nameless puppet in first playthrough after about 4 or 5 attempts. New game plus though could not beat second phase took me about 2 hours and almost cost me a new tv and controller. But managed in the end.

This game is GOTY, i got platinum in 4 playthroughs, 35 hours, i was just running through each playthrough, and only fighting bosses lmao
I realized i lied, did my math wrong lmao, 63 hrs
It probably won’t win many awards this year due to stiff competition, but i absolutely loved it.
Congratulations. I also got the Platinum trophy in Lies of P. But I didn't find it terribly difficult relative to other games. Of the Soulsbourne games I have only Platinumed Sekiro and only because Sekiro shares a linear design like Lies of P. LoP is a fantastic game however. I am glad to see some many experiences being shared by content creators. This bodes well for the future of the series.
Sekiro might be a fun one for me to try soon! I played it years ago on PC so I'd be starting from 0 on the trophies.
Love the art style and direction of the game. I'd never play it myself (Soulsborne games are the bane of my gaming existence), but it's fun to watch others torture themselves through the boss fights.

Loved the game. Platinumed it in 67 hours. Laxasia was the hardest boss for me. Followed by Nameless puppet and Manus. Took my about 200 tries combined in 2 playthroughs to beat them
Those are my hardest 3 as well. The first playthrough, Laxasia was definitely #1 for me too.
Only nameless, puppet, and laxasia gave me any sort of issues. I think I took maybe 10 tries on laxasia and 15 maybe on the other. Still a very hard game for your average person, though. They both were tougher for me than Melania was in ER.
Malenia took you less than 10 tries?! 😲
@@Retro_R2 yeah 9 or 10. But my character was pretty highly leveled. I have played her on lower levels and took me about 20-25. I watched loads of videos before hand to learn about strategies and her moveset. Didn’t go in blind.

Took me 3 playthroughs but it could have absolutely taken two if I was more intentional on my second run. I don’t have as much moral fiber as you. Played 1st run straight (aside from green monster), other two I used summons.
There were a couple of things I was afraid I messed up on the lying/truth. Fortunately it all worked out for 2 playthroughs!
@@Retro_R2 i could have done 2 but i found out two late riddles and story if prince were tied and i sped through one of the riddles dialogue and missed it. Thus missed out on humanity gained and trophy earned
Solo dub all the way for me. I must have 400+ star fragments (stopped looking after 300)
@@victord.monkey9081 I feel ya, 2nd phase green just bugged me and I wanted to progress. It didn’t help that I did all my bosses with no hud for YT screencaps which made it much harder

@@Retro_R2 Yes, some say a little bit of GOW copy-paste, is still a good experience to me (especially if you're the type to enjoy storytelling). The 2nd instalment (LOS2), is more like a 3rd person action game (should be almost similar to Lies of P).

Currently in my NG+ playthrough, on a truth playthrough. About to fight PD Green Monster, I'm running a Motivity build with Wrench Head+Krat Baton, what were your stats looking like around the endish game on NG+ and what build do you recommend for completing the plat?
Nice! I can’t remember my exact stats, but I started as Motivity. Switched to Technique pretty early on though bc so many of the weapons I wanted to use scaled with technique. I loved using the Trident. It was great all the way through my NG+ run.
I was about level 100 be endgame of NG+, its recommended to have 50 into health for the final boss.
Congrats to you, i Got the Plat too and took me 90 hrs, i Loved IT so much ITS my GOTY so Far 😊
Nice! 2023 has been such a great year for games that I'm sure this one will get overshadowed with all the awards, but yeah...it's incredible. I was glad to see they've already confirmed DLC and a sequel.

This game is one of the games that i had more difficulty by far. I needed to use the summon (you can judge me, i will not be ashamed to use a mechanic that is un the game), because i cant beat without it
Hey no worries on the summon! Play how you want to play 😊 I do really enjoy the game's combat. Been playing Elden Ring recently and I honestly think I prefer Lies of P's combat. The parrying is just so satisfying and I love the fact you can use it against almost every attack.

Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, they hit really hard in NG+ for sure. Oddly enough, my NG+ run was fairly smooth until the final 2 bosses. They were much harder for me on NG+

This platinum was way easier and less tedious than any soulsborne. I completed it in 46 hrs. I'm over 100-200 hrs still trying to get ds2, ds3, and bloodborne lol.
Dang! I'm actually not even sure my final play time. Pretty sure it was more than 50 hours though. I have the plat in DS 3, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring. I need to go back and do the others at some point.
Bloodborne plat was extremely easy and the ds3 platinum is tedious because its either pvp gankers online or grind from nocs with extremely low drop rates, lies of p is more difficult then most especially elden ring and bloodborne

Recently platinum'd the game as well and it's really cool to go back to a regular New Game after playing New Game+ and just steamrolling most bosses because on regular New Game they do so little damage compared to New Game+ XD

do you have to do new game plus or can you just do two normal new games?
Nope, it has to be NG+. Some of the records you need to collect are only available on a NG+ playthrough.

Quick question, if you don't get the rise of p ending first and not all the normal weapons, can you still get the collect all normal weapons achievement if you buy the remaining weapons in new game+ or do you have to start over?
Hmm. All your weapons will carry over to NG+ so it should pop as soon as you get the normal weapons you’re missing. Special weapons are a bit different because of the boss ergo and then the nose weapon from the painting.
He said 2 playthroughts? Aren't there like 3 trophies that requires the game endings so by my logic wouldn't that mean 3 playthroughts? Or am I missing something here 🤔

You can get in 2 if you back up a save to the cloud before talking to Geppetto at the end! Provided you’ve done everything leading up to it correctly as well. I used the powerpyx guide.

Well
You can just make a manual backup save right after laxasia and stop save sync after that point
Give heart to gepetto At first, then let sofia live and kill nameless after reloading that save, finally reload save again but let sofia have peace and kill nameless to get all 3 endings without having to start ng+
Well, you need to kill simon 3 times and nameless twice with this method but its better than just starting the entire game again
How did Create multiple save files I'm trying to platinum the game too
If you're on PlayStation and have PlayStation plus, you can copy a save to the cloud manually when you need it. Just make sure auto-uploads are disabled. I used the guide from PowerPYX.

Honestly this is à easy platinum
Maybe for Souls veterans only 😅 Honestly, I've played all the Souls games and still wouldn't say this is "easy" just for the simple fact that it requires multiple playthroughs and has so many missables. It will take most people 3 playthroughs if they aren't using a truth/lie plus a collectables guide.
@@Retro_R2 3 playthrough first one you can play the game the way you Want after one New game plus for the trophies and the ending. And à New story because we love it
Platinum really wasn't that hard. Not sure why there are so many videos talking about how difficult it was.
