This has a better stand and more gaming settings also is quitea bit newer. But the Odyssey has a better panel. Looks much better. So if you don't need to move the monitor around (rase up or down) then the Odyssey is best.
@@AtHomewithLucas Dont they both have VA panels? im gonna be using it for gaming mostly so i want the best picture quality, color etc between these 2 monitors. The G5 is 20-30 euros cheaper than the Asus. So i should i buy G5 u saying?
I would have loved some in depth zoomed in footage for the pixel show also a good measurement of the screen blah blah by blah blah if you understand what i mean, great review anway
Oh thanks for that feedback. I've always wondered if people wanted that in a review (I like to see it) I'll definitely add that to my next monitor review. 💯😁
I built a Pc with a 7800x3d and a 7800xt. My budget was 400 for a monitor. This is the only one in this price range with AMD sync pro. I am beyond pleased. I run it at 180hz. I play maxed out at 1440p. I don't have a point of reference, but my buddy who built my PC says that it's about the best that I could have done without spending 300 more for an OLED monitor. I believe him.
No I didn't notice that. But I had a good pc to monitor refresh rate. I have heard if your pc and monitor are not on the correct refresh rate you can see ghosting.
Thx 4 your great review!!! I am currently considering getting a 34-inch curved monitor. A few months ago, you tested the “Samsung Odyssey G5 34 Curved Ultra-Wide Gaming Monitor WQHD." Which one of these two would you recommend? The monitor will be used for 25% gaming, 25% office work, and 50% trading. I would appreciate a recommendation. THX
Hey Lucas, great review! If you can remember it, how would you compare this monitor to the Dell S3422DWG? Does the slight bump in refresh rate give it the edge? Im considering the Dell, but don't want buyer's remorse you now?
@@AtHomewithLucas Mostly gaming, maybe 60/40 gaming/productivity at most I don't work from home or anything, but do some drafting, 3d modeling, & rendering for side work when I can.
@mspeterson735 like I said in the review, the ASUS is a little strange when it comes to clarity. You might not think so. The gaming features are awesome. But the Dell might be a better all-around monitor for you. Have you ever owned or used a Dell?
So that is very interesting because it looks like the same monitor will all the tech just 100hz. If you buy this for gaming you may be disappointed with the refresh rate. But if you casual game or game but don't need a high refresh rate it could be perfect for you.
I tried to hook up my ps5 to this and everygame is unusually wide it looks really goofy, anyway I can fix this ??? (I already tried changing it from my ps5 settings, it did not work)
No it's not oled or 4k it's a 2k resolution monitor. 4k is 2160p this monitor is 1440p This arm is great WALI Single Monitor Gas Spring Desk Mount a.co/d/5r8JAOW
It's a good panel but not as sharp as others (even after adjusting sharpness). But with the ability to customize it to fit your gaming, you could make it perfect. I just didn't like the look of it in daily use. Also, the 1500r is not the best curve. I like 1000r a lot more. Gives a much better immersion.
Should i buy this or the Samsung Odyssey G5 34 inch?

Yes, they both have VA panels, but Samsung makes better panels. They have better color, sharpness, and blacks.
How did I do? Cover everything in this video? Let me if I missed anything. Thanks ❤

very good review bro!! 👍
Thanks 💯😁
i was thinking about getting 2 of these for my sim racing set up
Great idea! You will definitely love it. Just know you will have about an inch of bezels. Might not bother you while racing tho.
im expecting this next week. FINALLY someone that does a good review, thanks brother

Samsung is better 💯😁
Go for 3 monitors dell 27 inch. I use it for gaming 2-3 times a week, and trading pretty much every day. Go two vertical and one horizontal.
@kdmalhi1452 thanks for sharing 💯😁
Want to confirm before buying... Does this Asus monitor have picture-in- picture capability? Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks
This is what I know PIP/PbP Technology: Support HDCP: Support, 2.2 I'm sorry I didn't test this feature during my review.

@@AtHomewithLucas I would love to see a side-by-side.
Sorry I don't do that on this channel.
bit confused will it gib me 180hz refresh rate or less i will use it for 100%gaming and streaming
Yes it will game at 180hz if your pc can handle that refresh rate. Most gaming pc will handle 180hz.

Okay your Graphics card can handle up to 240hz so you should be good.
Is there monitor crosshairs? Does it have a green or red “dot” setting?
I'm not sure, but the Gigabite monitor I'm reviewing now has that feature.
What is the best monitor for work and play in 2024?
I'd say a Dell Ultra-Wide Monitor is perfect. 😁

Would you do 2x 34in ultrawide?
Yes
Would this be good for a ps5? Im thinking about grabbing it
Yes 100%
What monitor or tv are you currently using?
@@AtHomewithLucas an older Samsung TV lol
@KorDawg91 should be a good upgrade. Have you looked into using Ultra-Wide monitors with a PS5?
@AtHomewithLucas just a little bit I have 2 buddy's that's use ultra
Wide and they say I the best
Nice can I use this with a Xbox
Yes 💯👍
