OUTSTANDING discussion. Thank you both for the very informative information. I am over in the US and I am just amazed how lacking we all are in this area. I am just speachless that such few physicians are willing to take on these topics. Dr. Newson thank you for all your help with menopause, Dr. Rajpar thank you for helping me step up my skin care routine. Thank you .

I am enjoying and truly grateful to Dr Louise for bringing all the invaluable information and having so many professional guests on her site. However, this, and many other videos are somewhat difficult to comfortably listen to because of imbalance of the sound volume. The fluctuation between each varies greatly, so sometimes Louise will be excessively loud and the guest is virtually inaudible and in this particular case, the reverse is so. I need to constantly turn the volume up and down. Maybe the assistance of a technical expert in broadcasting (or even a tech-familiar teenager would be helpful😊). x

Fantastic advice. Thank you 🙏🏼 Unfortunately CeraVe is not cruelty free 😔 Also many of the well known suncreen brands contain hormone disrupting ingredients, which is undesirable in all stages of life, but even more so, when one is trying to compensate for lacking sex hormones during menopause through HRT. Is it possible to give more advice on both cruelty free products and products, that do not contain hormone disrupters in a future video? Thank you ❤️

Dr. Newton, could you please explore the effect of estrogen drop on digestion. I cannot find much online. However, this needs to be explored as I am sure many women are becoming seriously deficient in micronutrients and vitamins due to problems with digestion and nutrient absorption, thus affecting their overall wellbeing. The digestive issues are probably caused by the dysfunction of parasympathetic nervous system, which is in turn caused by drop in estrogen. Here is something I read - Dysmotility and decreased secretions can result from parasympathetic disruption within the gut. In turn, this can disrupt nutrient processing and absorption.

I’m a retired midwife and when I trained back in the 80’s the then director of midwifery wouldn’t let us bath the babies until day 5 as bathing removes the acid mantle of the skin - the skin’s protective barrier. I think she was right but the babies stank to high heaven

I'm sorry but I dont believe that SOME vitamin D from sunlight is harmful. Its the most efficient way to produce it. I think the guidance here is slightly out of wack.
I also think vitamins from fatty fish is highly misleading as science has proven that this is dreadful for health omega 3 should come from lots of leafy greens, flax seed freshly ground, chia, walnuts, avocado, hemp seeds etc etc

very informative thank you both so much. I am menopausal and have suffered with itching all over my body and the feeling of insects crawling over me and an extremely dry itchy scalp. My gp even asked if I had head lice. She is treating it as dermatosis of the scalp but I don't have any scaly skin/sores or dandruff, just extremely itchy, especially at night. I do also suffer with eczema which I have had since I was a child but I only have occasional flare ups. I have started HRT 2 months ago but up to now it hasn't helped with my itchy scalp.

@@charlottetaylor9867 hi, the itching all over had eased since starting HRT but I still suffer with an itchy scalp, I have noticed that it gets worse when I eat chocolate or lots of sweet foods, not sure if there’s a link or just coincidence. Tania. I'm a man who had low hormones for years. I felt like insects on my hands and head and body too. What these HRT doctors won't tell you about is the other major hormones that go out of wack with age and or menopause. I no longer have such insect feelings but I had to take 5 hormones and get extra b1 and other vitamins and minerals. I'm on testosterone. progesterone. nandrolone. DHEA and pregnemolone...I no longer have type 2 diabetes and lost 54 lbs without really trying and can eat what I want. The craziness has stopped and it can for you but not on what these HRT doctors recommend

@@taniajansen3650 Except for amounts of the hormones I mentioned being different for men vs women....all people could benefit from getting these optimized. FYI. Healthy women in their 20s have 3 times the amount of testosterone as they do the primary estrogen hormone Estradiol. And Progesterone falls like over 80% for menopausal women. Yet these HRT standard doctors ignore both testosterone and Progesterone and are likely to give unnatural designer hormones like levonorgestrel or medroxyprogesterone acetate. None of these designer hormones can do what testosterone and Progesterone can do for a woman. Something to think about before believing these standard HRT doctors. Personally I think they want to barely do any good for women to keep them off balance or they have a greed motive and are paid by dark forces you never will know about. Women who are fortunate enough to get testosterone and Progesterone first before estrogen tend to be far healthier and happier and dare I say outlive by over a decade those give this standard women's HRT.
