  • Panic attacks can come in all shapes and sizes, and while there is no ‘one size fits all’ method to ease out of one, I thought I would share a culmination of a few things that have helped me in the past, in the hope that they help you too.

Until tonight I’ve only listened to your sleep stories. Tonight I had my first panic attack in years and remembered scrolling past this looking for something to sleep to.
Putting it on made me feel so seen and understood. Your voice reminding me I was safe while understanding I felt like I wasn’t was so new to me.
Having this talk down from a panic attack is something I never had as a kid and just experiencing it now made me so emotional. No judgement, no expectations. Just understanding and guiding me through it.
Thank you for this and all the amazing work you do. That thought and care you put into every video is so apparent.

      Hi Jadea,
Thank you for your kind words, and I am sorry that you have this struggle with panic, and I am glad my channel has brought you some relief.
When you say you don't think this helped, do you mean that this track didn't help you with your panic? If not, it'd be useful to know why so I can take that into account for any similar tracks in the future :) Or if you meant something else by that then that's fine! x

i doubt anyones gonna answer this but , does anyone get like 2-3 panic attacks everyday? , like in school i need to go out of class because of random panic attacks even if im just sitting down and doing work somethings triggers me, i feel like im the only one who goes through this . honestly this video helps me calm down alot because of my severe anxiety. im not on any meds at the moment either i just take a couple of calming pills every day which dont reslly seem to help. but this does help me alot. i just want reassurance is there anyone else out there who may get 2-3 panic attacks everyday or is it just me?

      Hi Maya,
I know for a fact this is not just you. I have met many people who struggle with multiple panic attacks in a day. I'm glad to hear that this meditation is helping you, and I hope that you continue to keep coming back to it when you feel another attack building. Remember to always go back to your breath, as that is often one of the hardest things to control in a panic attack. Start by slowly breathing all the way out through the mouth and then allowing yourself to breathe in through the nose and down into the belly. Then keep breathing in this way and try to slow it down as much as you can. This a good starting point, as the breath is essential for calming. There are also things such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), which can help us to reframe our negative thought patterns, as well as seeking counselling if you find yourself really struggling. I can also recommend a Yoga practice too, it's worked wonders for me. Please keep going and you always have a place to come back to here :) Love, Sleepy Cat x

For some reason I have been having panic attacks at school which only occur in the morning. My heart rate would get noticeably quicker and my stomach would feel really sick, I’d start sweating, etc. and then I’d get acid reflux which triggers my emetophobia 😥
Strangely enough when I move on to my next class (math, btw I don’t like math) I feel wayyy less nauseous and panicky. 🤨 It’s weird because I like all my classes and not much happens ever in morning class!!
The rest of the day is usually much normal. I really don’t know what’s wrong with me. What should I do? I have school tomorrow again but I don’t want another freaking random panic attack in the morning. I even feel the stress when I wake up (like where the heck is all that stress coming from???) 😮‍💨It really affects my breakfast and everything - the anxiety goes on until the next class. Any suggestions??? Been dealing with this for like 2 years but this semester has been much, much worse
    Thank you!!!
Note: My panic goes down when I’m highly distracted and laughing, talking with friends. But it’s getting harder to do that in the morning. Now even thinking about my morning class makes me feel ill and anxious…😣 I hope meditation works…

      Hi Leon,
I'm so sorry to hear you are struggling. I am not a medical professional so I am hesitant to offer too much in the way of advice, and I think it would be safer to speak to a doctor about some of your symptoms.
      However...
For acid-reflux I personally take something called Gaviscon, but speak to your doctor before taking it. It is a very mild liquid, and I find it really soothing for the burning sensation in the chest and throat, but it's always worth speaking to a professional before trying something new.
When you have your panic attacks, are you able to identify what is triggering it? If not, I would recommend attempting a daily journal, 10 minutes a day, to jot down some of the things on your mind, and process some of your thoughts - even if it's one or two sentences, it's about forming the habit. Most people find this useful either first thing on a morning, or before they go to sleep. I struggled with this awful feeling of anxiety all the time without really knowing why. Once I started to write things down, to meditate and to process my thoughts more, I was able to identify many of the triggers, and then shift my focus to the things I was able to change. It's not an easy journey, and it can take time, but now if I feel anxious or panicked I can very often identify the cause, so that's a big thing I would try to focus on.
It's difficult because I don't know you personally and I am not a mental health specialist. Just passing on a few things that helped me.
I think if it continues or worsens, it is definitely worth looking into speaking to a professional who can see you in person and help you to uncover what might be causing these panic attacks.
Wishing you all the best x
