Me too, sometimes I put it on loop. What helps me is to write down some of the things he's saying. I think the strongest thing he says is "the more we fight against our anxiety, the worse it gets. No matter how uncomfortable we feel, accept it" im trying to learn to do that. Good luck to you!!!❤

Hi, thank you for all your videos. I’m 29 years old but when I was 21 I suffered a stroke. I was in a coma for 3 days, I didn’t know how to talk, read or write. I couldn’t get up, I was in a wheel chair. A few weeks ago I went through a panic attack. My heart rate was 150/160 And I chose to finally take medication. My doctor has a heart monitor called ZIO XT put on my upper chest. It’s super itchy and uncomfortable. I’m suppose to have it for 2 weeks. I only have 4 days left. The first day that I had it it made me have another severe panic attack, and since then I’ve had many anxiety attacks and unfortunately i have ended up in the ER. I need prayers. Thank you for everything that you post. Really. It helps and it’s made me feel little better. God bless

Just remember that there is nothing mentally or physically wrong with you when you feel symptoms of DP/DR, it's just your body's natural response to anxiety and/or chronic pain. You can overcome it eventually, you just have to learn to accept it per se; the sooner you do the sooner it dissipates. I speak from personal experience and I promise that it can be overcome. Don't consume too much caffeine either because it can exacerbate your anxiety and thus cause you to experience DP/DR.

Thank you, I have 24/7 DPDR that is only getting worse. It was triggered by Long Covid (which I still have, but I think it might be getting a little better). It's very hard to see that I'm not in danger when experiencing this, especially when trying to fall asleep. Thank you for this reminder, though, and I feel like in it's own weird way, the dissociation is just trying to protect me.

Also, I loved how you said for me to give my muscles “permission” to relax, which made me realize I’m the one in control of my body! This was so helpful, thank you! ❤️

I am so glad I found this video during one of my recent nocturnal panic attacks. Since then, every time I wake up in a panic(which has been nightly) I start talking to my body telling it thank you but I am already safe while popping this on and mid way through, all of my senses start relaxing and by the end, I am relaxed and yawning. Thank you for giving me a safe place and instead of thinking “but I wasn’t even stressed!” I can now communicate to my body that I am ok but that I am thankful for its protection.
You can tell you actually know what a panic attack is like and the steps you go through and that is what is most soothing..thanks again!

I found this tonight after a panic attack woke me from sleep. It’s been happening a lot lately. Your voice is so soothing, and gave me something to focus on. The instrumentals are very comforting sounding too. The voices at the end were really interesting to me, because it was like having multiple people around me giving me support and encouragement and caught my attention enough to pull me out of my panicked thoughts more. ❤

The tight chest is getter better .. was in such a state didn’t want to talk , couldn’t but craving to save help me please.
Make all the stressors go away, leave me alone, let me breathe , get my health better.. need to feel safe and protected.

Those extra voices are what make this work. Its talking to your subconscious. If hearing them bother you, try to turn the volume down as much as you can and do something to distract you while it plays in the background or try one ear bud. Even if you aren't paying attention to what he's saying, your subconscious is picking up all of the words to further relax you. Its kind of like subliminal messaging. Good luck to you and everyone feeling these horrible uncomfortable feelings 😢😢

Is there an ad in the middle?

Fixed it, it had a midroll ad on, I've disabled it now so you can listen to the whole thing uninterrupted.

I quit listening because of the ads.

Love this apart from the “You are safe” how do you know I’m safe? Anything could happen…. This is what anxious thoughts it brings up during this for me. Just feedback for you for improvements 🤍

If it's an anxiety or panic attack, then by definition you are safe, or you would not be able to sit here and watch this!
Yes, anything could happen at any time, but in the moment that you are listening, you are safe.
Anxiety makes us focus on possibilities that have not happened and may not happen, it makes us unable to handle uncertainty. But rather than hiding from it, we should accept uncertainty, and understand that in the moment, no matter what happens next, we are safe right now, and we can focus on what we can do right now, which is inside our control, rather than focusing on what is outside of our control.

Okay thank you. Just for me and it’s not just in your meditation but whenever anyone says ‘you are safe’ it raises anxious thoughts for me. I understand what you mean. I didn’t know whether this was something that happens to everyone or if it was just me so thought it was worth mentioning. Even though I am aware I am safe in the moment I think the next moment I could not be. Maybe it just doesn’t work for me. Thank you for your reply 🤍

@@rebekahameraful It’s a good point, I can definitely try one without. But also it’s setting off my ‘anxiety behaviour’ alert being that you say: “in the next moment I could not be” which technically is true, but it’s also unlikely and a very clear example of anxiety anxious thought pattern. I know this too, but I’ve learned to allow myself to focus on what is now, not what could come, if something dangerous were to come, then I’ll deal with it then, but worrying about something that isn’t true yet and has no real reason to be is one of the core foundations of anxiety, it’s related to the intolerance of uncertainty and a huge contributor for why we continue to be anxious.
So I’m trying to think if making one without it could be inadvertently fuelling anxiety because it would be a safety behaviour. But on the other-hand it could be fine to do just a different type of relaxation recording that doesn’t mention it.
I probably will do that, and this also gave me an idea to do a specific “accepting uncertainty” audio too!
What phrases do you think would help
      You instead?

@@anxiety_fitness Oh i completely understand now. It would be very unlikely because the thoughts I get pop up are ' a plane could crach into my house in the next moment or burglars could barge into my room'. Which realistically is unlikely but could potentially happen, and is just an anxiety doing its thing. Yes the accepting uncertainty audio sounds really interesting and could be very helpful to me, after your explanation on what's happening. I can't think of any phrases that would be helpful at the moment. Thank you so much
