Finally, an actual review with comparison. It's getting harder and harder to find reviews that claim a comparison but never actually show anything useful. Definitely considering the runners up because I won't risk a fan failure. Passive cooling is always the way to go.
Thanks hellcat1988, glad to help! We plan to add more statistics to future videos, but also want to keep things simple at the same time. Only true facts here!
Hey Ryan, we got some of their stuff in order! GTR Lighting, Putco, and Supernova. Diode Dynamics doesn’t make H7 yet but once they release it we’ll add that as well. We should have everything tested in the next month or so
I bought the cougars for my 17 Nissan Rogue. They are quite a bit brighter than the OEMs. They fit perfectly and I have had them for a little over a year now. I did have to aim them down a bit though. I tried several other cheap Amazon bulbs in some of my other vehicles and I've been most happy with these. I know they're cheap, but I've been happy with them and would recommend them to others.
Hey Blake, thanks for sharing! What model do you run specifically? They just released a new model this year, and we just picked it up for testing soon.
I installed these into my snowmobile as well and luv them. They are much brighter than OEM and would most definitely recommend them to others. And for around $50 I think a great buy.
I run the BeamTech on my Lightning in the headlights and fog lights. They’re really good. Couldn’t say how good though, because I changed headlights and fog lights at the same time.
I’m running beamtechs right now..they aren’t the brightest..almost not bright enough..best part is not getting flashed by oncoming drivers..but the highbeams aren’t even really noticeably brighter🤷🏻♂️
I ordered the NOVSIGHT with 20000 lumens 6000k white LED conversion kit with a built-in Decoding Unit, Anti Flicker @ Amazon for $64.99 I wanted the brightest legal LED bulb available in the market but when my mechanic installed them on my 2014 MB GL450 they were on and off every 3 seconds after a couple of minutes they shot off completely. Luckily my mechanic recommended the BEAMTECH and he has them in stock. Im really happy with the BEAMTECH.
Great video 👍 I just wonder how long those bulbs last? My halogen “blue tinted” one bulb just burned out today bought them bulbs from the clearance bin at orielies about 6 years ago
Thanks nitrous07me! We havn't tested longevity of the LED kits. I would presume they should last longer than halogen bulbs because of the technology. Because they are small brands, their reliability can't be confirmed for sure. The best bet is to check out the Amazon reviews before purchasing. I hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
LED kits don't last, they are very bright. I tried several off amazon and all same results. Very bright until it burns out 6, 9 months, 1 year if you are lucky.
Thanks for sharing! The kit we have is made of metal and seems to be very high quality. What model specifically? We are looking to test some of their newer models as well.
Amazing video and very straight to the point! We need more channels and videos like this! Any chance at a video on top heat sink style LEDs? Not many people like using fans LEDs and most prefer to stay away from a mechanical fan due to being exposed to the elements. Otherwise, keep this up! This is great content that everybody should see.
Thanks JDM ASTAR I’m glad it was helpful! We will continue to test new LED kits, and I will be sure to do a video on the best solid state heat sync kit in the future, that is a great idea! Thanks again!
@hitman hit , The next gen DI injectors are much quieter. Toyota and Ford use both type of injectors. Mostly using Di at maximum throttle. If you have a new car you probably don't need LED bulbs.
Dont be afraid of those with fan if you want your led to be bright, in most of the time those with fan are the ones that can push that brightness, which is the main reason why we are switching to Led, for a brighter light. And in most cases fans are hardly the cause of a led failure.
I myself am having brightness issues with my LasFits running in my halogen projectors. Even after adjusting height I don't get good light output down the road. They light up pretty good right in front of the car
@@zaybarz9200 Yeah I have noticed that when I first got into LED's. I just like the availability/price and ease of the installation with LED's VS HID's. First world problems lol
Thanks already ordered my hikari Core led low and high beam kit,did my research on these bulbs and they seam to be what i am looking for take care love your honest testing of these bulbs and thanks for educating all of us out here looking to upgrade are headlights
Just bought my 2nd pair of H7 Lightning Dark. LOVE the first pair on first vehicle. This second pair will go into projector lights. Excited to see the results. No joke, these lights are bright.
Upon your review of the Hikari Ultra H4 LED, I went ahead and took the leap on my first pair of LED bulbs. I installed one of the bulbs on my CBR250R motorcycle and boy I’m astonished. The low beam cut off is pretty sharp, close to the stock 60/55w Halogen I was running in it before. The beam pattern is as stock as it could get and I had my friend ride my motorcycle to see if it glares, and it does not! I wish both the low and high beam emitters could function(only high or low can function at one point) Also, the bulb is rated to draw 26w, but provides fantastic illumination. Thank you Bulb Facts team, glad your reviews are unbiased and legit.
You got it Arjun, and thank you for sharing! I'm glad it worked out well, and we only do full and honest reviews here. The wattage draw is much lower for LED vs. Halogen as well, a great benefit to LED with much less heat buildup too, which I personally know as well as a previous bike owner, especially the older models :)
Thanks John for the support! We'll be releasing a new video soon, but you can always check our website for the latest as we keep it up to date based on our tests; www.bulbfacts.com/led-kits/recommended/
James Adams what’s brighter hikari or cougar motors one? I want it in my 2016 Toyota RAV4 xle I bought 2 lasfit but they don’t last long and get dim. When driving they look light they are not even on.
DBOSS VLOGS the hikaris are better. They might shine alittle higher though. As long as people don’t highbeam you or you see the light not shining into the eyes of on coming traffic your good. If not you may have to lower the aim of the headlights but the hikari is so much better than the cougars
I bypassed all these cheap, high failure rate bulbs and spent the $$ for GTR Lighting ULTRA II. Money very well spent. My beam pattern is perfect and just as bright or brighter than the newest cars leds. BMW, LEXUS, MERCEDES. These bulbs are AMAZING. Don't skimp on headlights.
Thanks for the reviews - great info as always. I do notice your charts are about halogen reflectors, but halogen projectors are pretty common now too. Does the same testing info apply or would projector housings need separate testing?
Hi theRealAV8r - I too agree. We plan to re-test all of our halogen and LED kits in a projector scenario, and will have a separate row in the chart. Thanks for the comment and for watching!
Glad to help Pete! Be sure to check out our latest review video as this one is a bit out of date now as we have tested many new products since then: ruclips.net/video/TXEJVCIsCaA/видео.html
Hi, I tried converting my 2019 GTI to LED and it did not work out well. I was never able to fit the bulbs in the light housing. I even took to the light assembly off the car and was not able to get them to fit right. Any suggestions on a kit that would fit right for my car?
Hi Benoit, I know the VW models can be tricky, on top of the H7 bulb adapters. I would reach out to DeAuto group, as they test in specific VW models and can provide a precise recommendation that will work in your vehicle. If we get that headlight housing in our lab though we'll see if we can find something that works well.
@@josephwilson9998 each bulb will be different. I have auxbeams all for high/low/fogs. My bulb sizes are H7 (low), H11 (fog), and 9005 (high). I bought matching auxbeams but there was no kit, just matching models. They ran about $40 each set on Amazon.
Joe thx for the tip. I have a 2017 Tacoma Trd sport and wanted to put leds in it also the same with my wife’s 2014 sorrento. Her lights suck! Probably better off taping a couple of flashlights to the front end. Thx again for you help.
I actually run the H13 Lightning Dark LED bulbs. They're pretty bright but I expected them to be alot brighter. Over all I've had these on my ram since late November, and they are doing still great
Where can you find that info? If they are Philips or not? I just ordered mine and now I'm wondering if I ordered the wrong ones..😒 . I paid almost 80 on Amazon
I got a Honda CR-V 2017, I bought the Hikari for my low beam and techmax mini for my fog lamps, and the techmax is brighter then the Hikari and also cheaper!! Bulbfact thanks for the advices is so helpful!!
crv 2018 owner here... do LEDS work well with the projectors style lamps? and why did you choose hikari / techmax instead of beamtech/lightning dark ??
Hi Aaron! We do have plans to test fog-light LED kits too. If you are adding a standard LED kit into a fog housing, simliar specs should apply though, but it will be interesting to see how the fog specific kits perform. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching!
@@HEMI-MOMMA you got it! We've been busy but we are actually in the process of testing LED in fog applications and should have the results up in the next few weeks with a video shortly after. We appreciate the support!
Hey welcome to reality, LEDs actually run at a much lower wattage normally (we have only seen one product match the amperage of a halogen). They also normally contain a fan which keeps the temperature down. They all run much cooler over halogen (typically 90-100F vs. 160F+ for halogen). Hope that helps!
I've this video is a few years ago, so don't know how new these are but I got some Fahron LEDs in Amazon. Price was great, I replaced hi and lie beams and my fog lights. I confess I don't know much about led lights, but they are WAY BRIGHTER, than the phillips extra visions I had in. One of those blew out in less then a year and the LEDs I got have a 2 year to warranty. The white color looks so much better to me than the halogens did. I haven't had anyone flashing me yet, been about a month, so I assume the glare isn't an issue.
@@ezlivin1454 originally had them on a optima & accord coupe about a year ago but upgraded to a couple Lexus’s, now I’m running them on daytime runners & fog lights but yes so far so good… plus if you get them on Amazon and they burn out they’ll charge you a small restocking fee to replace them… so it’s a win win in my opinion…!
I just bought the lasfit they are brighter than my original light but for whatever reason on drivers side I notice a bit of a bordering yellow color outline not sure why that would appear & when the light shine up against garage door a bit of yellow I know these bulbs got great reviews by far but I really thought they would be just a bit brighter..
Hi Old Timer! We noticed during our testing that some LED kits have a yellowing to parts of the beam. It appears to be coming from the yellow LED itself. Kits that have quality LEDs like Philips don't seem to suffer from this. We tested one of the Lasfit kits and they didn't perform well, towards the bottom of our chart. Check out some other brands for better performance, and look for 3 or 4 small LEDs in a row on each side, instead of just one, as that mimics the halogen filament. Thanks!
@@BulbFacts yes well tbat is helpful information to know I just bought them yesterday I will return them today & look for the lightning darks & beam techs online see whats the best deal out there thanks much👍
Sounds great! The Lightening Dark is no longer available, and although their new model is good, there are better kits. Be sure to check out our latest LED chart bulbfacts.com/led-kits/chart/. Let me know what you wind up going with!
The thing with lasfit is which series you get, the L1 and LC6 are the cheapest and will give you a little better than halogens. The LA series would be the lowest end I would go, much better light out put with good beam pattern, the chips are placed correctly to mimic the filament placement. The top end LS series use the lumileds Zes chips and work great, near perfect beam and great down road light with a great hotspot. One size I had a hard time finding a correct replacement for was a 880 for my fogs, the chip need to run left to right with them facing up and down, only found two manufactures that make them correctly and that is morimoto 2 stroke 2.0 and eisenke, so if you need that size then they are it.
@bigtruck guy you definitely get what you pay for. I bought a cheap set for my work truck just to see if LEDs would even work, 2018 F-150 , Ford's are known to have some really wierd issues with LED lights since they use PWM on some vehicles, strangely even the same model can come different ways depending on options, I also have DRL's that can not be turned off. seller had a discount code for $30 off so they ended up being $15 so I thought why not, amazingly they work and are such a improvement over the stock halogen crap bulbs they come with.
Hi AntiBroke19 - Projectors are the best for beam and distance, but a lot of cars and trucks still have reflectors, even new models. The Lasfit kit we tested was quite bad, but we will look into the LS model for testing. Thanks for watching!
I've got the cougar motor led's in my 2000 mustang and I'm Very pleased with them . Very bright , high quality beam , very tight on low beam and I didn't need to adjust my lights at all
Thanks Cbmech! The Cougar motor has an older chip design but still works ok but doesn’t have a good beam in reflectors. I wonder if your headlight reflector concentrates light better. Anyways thanks for sharing, should help other 4th gen Mustang owners out there!
I just put a set in my 1997 F250 heavy duty. They are even better in this than the Mustang. My big complaint with them was the little screw under the o-ring to put the retainer ring on. Now, no screw. Twist it off. Only goes on one way and once installed you can twist it to move the hot spots. The beam is so tight I'm going to be able to adjust the headlights up at least a little. I'm very pleased and will give them a 5 star on amazon.
I'm using the wontonwolf led rated at 10k lumes and I feel it's spot on. I have them in my high beams and the road bends away before the light cuts. Highly recommend these
Just looking at what's on offer in the leds , meh , i'm not overly convinced they are worth the trouble , when you can buy the 90/100/120 plus bulbs that are a tad brighter than the stock ones . I know they often have a shorter service life , but they do seem fairly common and don't seem to have heat worries.
Hi Willie, Sealight is a good brand. We tested them a few months back and added them to our test chart, so be sure to check that out for the results. You'll have to scroll down a bit.
@@Rezolution01 they are hidden by default as we only show the top 5 in each category, so you just need to click the 'Load all Budget Kits' button to see them listed.
Hi Brandon! The consensus with bad driving conditions like rain seems to be that a lower kelvin temperature is better (4300k for example) as it cuts through fog and air moisture more. It is a trade-off when upgrading to LED kits as the kelvin is typically higher. I hope that answers your question and thank you for watching!

You guys are my heroes from someone who's had to purchase and bust multiple times I'm glad I came across this channel never been able find decent low beams that are led. Currently was switching my lasfit for Hikari till I came across this video, don't get me wrong lasfit 5202 fog lights blow any other fog led out of the water for that type of bulb due to limited options but they leave you wanting a lot more from low beams. My favorites for non-low beam led brands are luyed, and jdm astar. Luyed makes great interior led's and exterior side markers while jdm astar switch back turn signals are unmatched in brightness and how pure white they are.
Hi Elisandro! I'm glad the video helped you out, that is our goal! We really appreciate the kind words, and look forward to testing more kits in the future to find the best ones available. @@BulbFacts Thanks for your response. It would certainly be great to know your opinion of the ARISMOTOR products, I am so happy about. Looking forward to your new review! Cheers!
LED bulbs are not really meant for standard type reflector housings. they work really well in projector style housings. ive been using the cougar motor ones for several months now and love them. those not "dead spots" or "hot spots". the light is uniform
Hey logix7! The newer LED designs work well in most reflector style headlights from our testing, but projectors if you have them are the way to go of course due to the newer technology. Which Cougar Motor kit do you have?
Hi Bobo, you certainly can, but just make sure to check the temps, and you may want to consider changing the connector to ceramic as well due to the increased heat.
So on the beam tag what happens if the fan stops working is there going to be like a total meltdown in the whole housing will melt and catch on fire or how does this work
The fan is to keep the diodes (LEDs themselves) as cool as possible for optimal cooling. It depends on the brand, but what we have seen from lifespan testing is when the fan stops working, the diodes go into a low output mode (but still work). The output is just reduced to some degree.
I have the beamtech led h11 bulbs. They are really dim. Less bright than my stock halogen bulbs which is why I'm watching this video to determine whether to try a different led or go back to halogen. Go with the highest lumen rating because I was afraid of not passing the state inspection if it was too bright and a lot of these led bulbs are dimmer than what they say.

Thanks Lebone! Very true! Go with the high-end brands if you want a high quality product. Such as DeAuto, Morimoto, Diode Dynamics, etc. We'll be testing and adding more premium kits soon.
If you’re out in the desert, hills, swamps or mountains. Get sea light s2 9006 h4 is what I got… stupid bright and the beam pattern is not blinding anyone that I’ve tested on. They are freaking bright and you can see everything. Wildlife is my concerns and the occasional skinwalker
Thanks for sharing! I'll certainly look into them for testing. I know I ran the S1 model, but I think the S2 was limited in it's sizes, but I'll see what they have these days.
I love my BeamTechs in my Jeep and my Mazda 6. They are clean and bright. Not as bright as my HIDs in my truck but for the price and ease of install the BeamTechs are worth it. I still think I will stay with HID until LEDs can match the output of the HIDs. The other winner of the LEDs is the price they end up being much cheaper then the HIDs
Hey halojumper81! I totally agree. HID is still king over LED, especially in aftermarket applications. If your interested, check out my recent video on HID kits; ruclips.net/video/cr7jdvJcWL4/видео.html. Beamtech is a great choice and super easy to install too. LEDs can work great in reflectors if you get the right one, and HID is best in projectors. From our tests. Thanks for the info!
Alla TS-CR. At about 50.00 price point you can't beat the performance, lumens, and reliability. Going on 14 months now, same set. Daily driver. Zero issues. Projector headlamp.
We grabbed some beamtech. Our reasoning for upgrading was simply because we burn through headlamps often. We do most of our driving at night and a bulb typically lasts is a year and a half. With 30k hours on this thing, that is 3.5 years of continuous use. Even if it achieves half of this, I don't expect to change these bulbs in yen next 5+ years. We were actually blown away by how much better we saw the road, even thiguh it wasn't our main goal. I guess that's what happens when you are replacing bulbs with the cheapest option. I just kind of got used to it. We didn't have to adjust a thing. The only comparing my wife had was that they're much whiter in color and she likes more of the yellow look. I'm actually looking forward to upgrading the lights on our other two cars as well. They note than net our expectations.
Hi Bela Sziklassy! That's great to hear. The Beamtech kit is really a great bang for your buck, and will be much brighter over a halogen kit, and of course much whiter. Unfortunately you won't find LED in a natural color like halogen (3500-4500k), but they are a better improvement in clear weather by far. Check out our chart as it has the latest kits we tested, many new ones since this video!
wait wait, I am very glad I found this video BUT i notice the test is based on a reflector headlight, isnt this kind of light bulb should be in projectors
Hi Dj MrJ! Yes sorry this was our very first LED video, you can find the latest video here which includes projector tests as well and many more samples tested; ruclips.net/video/VH1P5aa24Y4/видео.html and as always our very latest recommendations and results on our website; www.bulbfacts.com/led-kits/recommended/
I just installed the “Lasfit “ in my 15 Silverado. I will be testing them tonight BUT, there is a cover that fits over the lamp housing that is not able to be put back on because of the depth of the led. And being fan cooled, if it were to fit, there would be no air space for circulation. Just an FYI.
Hi Gary! You may want to look into an aftermarket dust boot cover for your truck. I would recommend keeping the cover on in order to keep debris, moisture, etc. out of your headlight. The LEDs with a fan actually don't get too hot (around 90F), much less than a halogen in fact, so the fan is really just cooling the LEDs themselves, so even in an enclosed housing you don't have to worry. If you run a fan-less LED type you'll want to be careful as we tested those to get up to 160F+. Thanks!
Hey Junior, we completed our fog reflector style tests, here are our latest recommendations; www.bulbfacts.com/led-kits/recommended/#fr We are still in the process of testing in fog projector applications, so stay tuned later for those results!
Please two IMHO important Points 1.) if a LED is bright or not, if the beam pattern is good or not, that doesn't count if they don't fit in a Lamp housing, so the size, the cooling (active or passive) is also an very important fact. 2.) What if you got the brightest LED with the best beam pattern that fits in the Lamp housing and after you switch them on you (and probably everybody nearby) can't get any FM Radio into your Car stereo? I did tried quite a few, not cheap LED Sets and ALL of them jamming the Radio reception, some of them more or less prevent the reception of FM Radio.
Hi Oliver! We have more test results on our website including the measured sizes. Most LED interfaces if not originally designed for will cause some radio interference. I will test each kit though and post to the kit reviews on our website, as that could certainly be bothersome! Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching!
@bulbfacts y'all should do a video of best led headlights u can purchase off wish so because i would love to upgrade my head lights but don't wanna dish out like 200 dollars for highness and low beams thank you
I installed the Beamtech bulbs on my Civic which were an enormous improvement - BUT - they are not effective enough to melt snow from the headlight housing during ice/snowy weather. Found this out the hard way.
njmetfan thanks for sharing as that is a great point. Yes that is a side-effect of LED vs. Halogen unfortunately. We'll be sure to mention in upcoming video reviews. It may be a good idea to run a halogen parking light if it's possible, even a blue xenon look bulb, in that will provide a little bit of heat, but of course not nearly the amount of a headlight halogen bulb.
I have a 2015 VW Passat TDI SEL. What's the best bulb for low beam and and best for high beam? I'm all about performance, I don't care about color. Please let me know your recommendation.
Hi Scott! Assuming you have reflectors, I can tell you the best kit currently for H7 is the DeAutoKey LED kit. It is truly amazing, and what I personally run in my Jetta. Be sure to use coupon FACT10 for 10% off with them, here's a link: link.bulbfacts.com/deautoled-ledkits . I will be doing a video on the kit soon. It is the best for low beams by far, but high beams I am still testing some new kits out so just be sure to check back on our website for the best high-beam kits. I would recommend the Katana for highs, but they are out of stock on the H7 right now. If you have projectors check this page: bulbfacts.com/hid-oe/chart/ . I hope that helps!
Hi fossil83, you'll actually want to re-aim your headlights themselves. You can adjust the LEDs in some cases by rotating which may help, but if the hotspot is higher than the halogen was then you'll want to lower them down to match.
Hey I purchased two pairs of led low beam lights. 1. Watt 60w (30w/ bulb) & Lumens 6000LM 2. Watt 50w (25w/ bulb) & Lumens 5000LM I obviously want high visibility but dont want to blind on coming drivers - what do you suggest?
Which brand and models did you purchase specifically? Take a look at our chart to compare what you bought to see if we tested them. bulbfacts.com/led-kits/chart/

Just got the Lighting Dark for our company truck. They are very bright and look great. However, I’ve heard complaints of people saying they only last 6 months. Has anyone had them for a while and can attest to that?
Hi Alejandro. I presume they were referring to their old model which is discontinued. Their new model seems to perform better, which I'm guessing you picked up as they have been out for more than a year or so now.
Hi Emanuel. LEDs perform well, but the higher kelvin color they go the more glare from rain and snow you get (too bright). Look for something closer to 5000-5500k if possible vs. 6000k+. We test each products true color, so be sure to check our chart if you are unsure.
Hi Jared, the Lightening Dark's we reviewed here are no longer available. For the latest recommendations check our website here; www.bulbfacts.com/led-kits/recommended/ We should have a new LED review video out soon!
Hi Keizo, that's correct. The reflector changes how the light is distributed, and in a high beam typically makes the light field more focused with longer distance.

Finally, an actual review with comparison. It's getting harder and harder to find reviews that claim a comparison but never actually show anything useful. Definitely considering the runners up because I won't risk a fan failure. Passive cooling is always the way to go.

I installed the beamtechs in both cars. The visibility improved drastically and had them for over a year now.
Thanks for sharing Mattyv! The beamtech is a great choice for the money.
I picked up a set of Alla in 2019 still going strong
great review. seem to be very honest and not a commercial. Thanks

Very nice video and a nice website for comparing LED light bulbs. You sir made me decide on a light bulb, Thank-you.
I’ve had my Lasfit headlights for about 3 years and still going
Love your bulbs, been using them for a while now!
The fan is the first thing to go. They are noisy also.
LasFits are actually really good. I installed a set and they lit up my whole street. And I can see....
Thanks for sharing! Which model did you pick up?
I myself am having brightness issues with my LasFits running in my halogen projectors. Even after adjusting height I don't get good light output down the road. They light up pretty good right in front of the car
@@streetslickz that's what we have seen a lot. They appear bright, but having a very accurate beam is critical to real-world use.
Donald Robinson Thats because Leds seem bright but they dont actually travel far. If you know what i mean. Somebody should elaborate on that..

I wish both the low and high beam emitters could function(only high or low can function at one point)
Also, the bulb is rated to draw 26w, but provides fantastic illumination.
This is by far the best video outta there if youre planning to upgrade to LEDs again great video buddy

Interesting... I thought opt7 was gonna be #1. Thanks
360 style Leds work better in projectors. If not then go with HIDs

Hi,
I tried converting my 2019 GTI to LED and it did not work out well.
Lightening Dark LED have a huge failure rate after reading Amazon verified reviews, I will pass on them!
Charles BridgTec I ordered a pair based on this review and one of the connectors was broken out of the box. Poor QC
I feel buying them strictly as high beams might be beneficial to keeping them alive for longer so maybe that’s a better investment for the Dark LEDs.
Uh 80% 5* rating on Amazon, not sure what you're looking at
They use a Cree LED not Philips as stated in the video. I would like to see space limited bulbs tested to see how they fare against the fan units.
My lightening dark kits(h4 and h11) are still going strong with no problems for the past 2 months.
Edit: One of my h4 bulbs went out🤦🏻♂️

i read that high power LEDs degrade much quicker....so i assume the lighning dark will dim pretty quick
Lightening dark look like opt7 design
Opt7 work great on 17 Ram with projector lens -30 no issues.

Best to use them in a projector housing. Lasfit has a nice kit but bit pricey. The LS series but runs around 110$
Hi AntiBroke19 - Projectors are the best for beam and distance, but a lot of cars and trucks still have reflectors, even new models. The Lasfit kit we tested was quite bad, but we will look into the LS model for testing. Thanks for watching!

I just put a set in my 1997 F250 heavy duty. They are even better in this than the Mustang. My big complaint with them was the little screw under the o-ring to put the retainer ring on. Hi Brandon! The consensus with bad driving conditions like rain seems to be that a lower kelvin temperature is better (4300k for example) as it cuts through fog and air moisture more. Thanks 🙏🏼⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wow! This was an invaluable video for me. Just about to buy for 2 vehicles. TYVM!!!

I have the beamtech led h11 bulbs. They are really dim. Less bright than my stock halogen bulbs which is why I'm watching this video to determine whether to try a different led or go back to halogen.

Thanks John for the recommendation, we'll take a look at them for testing!

Thanks!
What's a good LED for fog lights?
Hey Junior, we completed our fog reflector style tests, here are our latest recommendations; www.bulbfacts.com/led-kits/recommended/#fr We are still in the process of testing in fog projector applications, so stay tuned later for those results!
Please two IMHO important Points
1.) if a LED is bright or not, if the beam pattern is good or not, that doesn't count if they don't fit in a Lamp housing, so the size, the cooling (active or passive) is also an very important fact.
Thanks again man! Another great informative video! Keep em coming, much appreciated.
Thanks for the support!
I was going to ask does the plate comes off to install but I seen you do that
On H7 and others the collars almost always are removable which makes them easier to install.
@bulbfacts y'all should do a video of best led headlights u can purchase off wish so because i would love to upgrade my head lights but don't wanna dish out like 200 dollars for highness and low beams thank you
Hi Sean, that’s a good idea! I’ll look into it. I’ve heard of them but never used. Thanks!
Beamtech's are the way to go. Great even light pattern and no fan. Great in the rain and fog too.
I have them in my car rn and honestly the brightness sucks..I feel like I’m gna smash a deer since the range Is so short
how do you adjust glare on bulbs so you dont blind other drivers? specially in 9003 with high and low beans integrated?
Hi fossil83, you'll actually want to re-aim your headlights themselves. You can adjust the LEDs in some cases by rotating which may help, but if the hotspot is higher than the halogen was then you'll want to lower them down to match.
You guys need to add the Fahren bulbs to your lists/review. They’re budget and super bright with a great beam pattern.
Casey Fitzgerald thanks we’ll check them out for testing!
Hey I purchased two pairs of led low beam lights.
1. Watt 60w (30w/ bulb) & Lumens 6000LM
2. Watt 50w (25w/ bulb) & Lumens 5000LM
I obviously want high visibility but dont want to blind on coming drivers - what do you suggest?
Which brand and models did you purchase specifically? Take a look at our chart to compare what you bought to see if we tested them. bulbfacts.com/led-kits/chart/
Thanks for the info. It was really great to see an honest video with no b.s. acting to pull in subscribers. Funny thing is, you pulled one in right here simply because you act like a normal human being. Thanks again.
Thanks George, that means a lot! The entire goal of Bulbfacts is to find the truth in these products, and that's what we plan to keep doing for you guys! Thanks for watching!
the best LEDS I Have ever experienced hands down and worth the money is the Putco silver lux pro H11
Thanks John, we'll check them out for testing!
Would have been nice if you told us how much they cost you. We are trying to figure dollar for dollar what is best for the money.
Oxnard Adrian Lopez they run about $150-$250 on amazon if im not mistaken
just ordered a set of fahren led's for my 16 taurus, got them today, havent installed yet..hope they perform well
Just got the Lighting Dark for our company truck.
@@BulbFacts good to know. Thank you. I’ve had them on for a week and I’m loving them! I hope they last for a while.
How do led lights perform in the rain/snow?
Hi Emanuel. LEDs perform well, but the higher kelvin color they go the more glare from rain and snow you get (too bright). Look for something closer to 5000-5500k if possible vs. 6000k+. We test each products true color, so be sure to check our chart if you are unsure.
Just ordered for my truck..hope they work out
Hi Jason, what product did you order?
How do the lightning darks compare to the aukee 10000lm? They both claim 300% brighter
Hi Jared, the Lightening Dark's we reviewed here are no longer available. For the latest recommendations check our website here; www.bulbfacts.com/led-kits/recommended/ We should have a new LED review video out soon!
I have a 2011 buick la crosse hid / all lighting will the lightning dark work better than factory and will it agree with my computer ?
Hi orangepete93. I don't believe you'll need CANBUS or PWM modules for your Buick, so any standard HID kit or LED should work well for you.
High beam is much brighter than low beam, though the bulbs have same lumens. So, bulbs do not mean but housing and reflector as well as lenses?
Hi Keizo, that's correct. The reflector changes how the light is distributed, and in a high beam typically makes the light field more focused with longer distance.
