- Car has Flowtec headers on it, cheap but good quality. Then 1 random 12 inch resonator from a muffler shop I had put in before the Y pipe, and Tanabe Medalion Touring mufflers. No drone, and just right amount of loudness in the cabin.

Who says an NA 2JZ doesn't sound good without turbos? This sounds great. My GS 300 sounds similar to this.

God I love how this sounds, just got a set of HKS Hi-Powers on my GS300 and was thinking about going catless headers (was almost completely straightpiped before the mufflers, except for the catted headers) and putting a decent resonator
Here is gs300 version 2jz ge with oem headers (w/o cats), hks hi-power, 3” tube and 12” resonator just before the hks muffler 😃

Going for this exact and I mean exact sound and setup. Going on a Is300 so single exit only. Is this cat back, axle back, or just stock piping with mufflers? No cats I seen in the comments below and no other resonator minus the one before the Y-pipe? Trying to get it just like yours! Ide greatly appreciate the help!

I got a gs300 with a custom exhaust from front to back with a megan midpipe, I want to put headers on it but I'm afraid if it'll sound raspy, I want it to sound something like this
I have gs300 myself too amd I would not recommend it, with no cats the car will sound like raspy as hell, unless you have really good resonator or muffler. In the video he said he has a 12 inch resonator and tanabe muffler, that's why he has little to no rasp.

The headers itself don't make the rasp. Best to leave the OEM resonators and it sounds awesome. Tho I'm plannin on making stainless 3.5" exhaust with one vibrant resonator just for fun before going turbo.

Nope definitely not. My specs are 19x9.5 +22 in the front and 19x10.5 +12 in the rear

Hey i have a chance to get a sc300 for 1200-1400$, but its automatic is it still worth getting? As I did originally want a manual car.
I lean towards manual but i wouldn't pass up a deal like that. Could always work towards swapping it later.

naturally aspirated means it does not have a turbo or supercharger, exhaust doesn't change that
Means nothings adding pressure to engine. No supercharger or turbocharger.

how is the cabin at interstate cruise? i'm usually in the 80-90mph range. 3500-3900 rpm in my auto
My tach doesn’t work so idk what rpm I’m at. I usually cruise around 70-75 and that should be about 3100 rpm

@@furthurondown well I kinda ditched the old motor and went with a 2jz GTE now haha. But from what I remember the drone wasn’t bad at all. I’ve road tripped it multiple times no problem

@I6zone with factory exhaust it's still growly. my straight piped cobra was a monster at those speeds and it definitely impaired my hearing for a few hours after those cruises.

Best build u can get. Sc400 owner here I like the beefier engine. Either 300 or 400 u will enjoy the hell out of it.

@@jugg637 a manny from factory is hard to find. Many people swap out the tranny and go from there. It’s an adventure. I’m keeping mine auto. Don’t wanna deal with all that haha 😂

@@unknownshark9630Turbos and Turbo Exhaust Manifolds will put any INLINE SIXES that legendary refined Exhaust Note. 1JZ and RB26 both sound very similar especially when on big single turbo

Exhaust sounds mint. I swapped mine to 1JZ TT but I’ve been listening to sound clips hoping to find a decent setup. Yours is among the best I’ve heard.

Should I buy one for $1000? no rust. The problems are, i a exhaust manifold donut leak on motor, clear coat coming off, crack on windshield passenger side, haven’t test drove yet
Sounds kinda sketch for 1k. Exhaust manifold gasket is an easy fix, same with the windshield. I’d ask about general maintenance of the car and see it in person, check the rear subframe to see any signs of rust that wasn’t mentioned. For a running decent car sc’s usually go for 3k minimum
