definitely one I'm hoping to locate on Saturn one of these days! there is also a massive collection coming to Switch and PS4 with Capcom's entire Marvel arcade run, including the last game: Marvel vs. Capcom 2! I'm super looking forward to getting that collection whenever it drops, I will definitely spend some time revisiting Children of the Atom on it! and who knows, if it does well we might see another MVC crossover out of Capcom?!
X-MEN Children of the Atom was the best arcade game ever made back then when I was still watching X-MEN tv series back in the early 1990's here! I'm glad that it's being re-released soon this year along with other classic titles including The Punisher finally in Marvel vs. Capcom soon!!
Never got into this one. But would run a guile/charlie team in MvC2. I would get people stuck in the corner and just do the flash kick ultra with both and they couldn't get out of the corner lol.
CotA even featured some of the voice actors from the 90s cartoon. That is a huge get. It's weird that Catherine Disher (the voice of Jean Grey) did all the female characters despite Jean not even being a playable character. 😅
The 90's X-Men TAS is one of my all-time favorite shows! Being a fan of Capcom games too, seeing Capcom's X-Men arcade was mind-blowing. A Great game based on a Great show!
Absolutely love the game and the passion the Capcom team put behind it( Especially Akimans art and beautiful sprite animation! Just look at his Wolverine!!!!) I owned the US Saturn version and looking for a Japanese copy !❤️ Gotta play Juggernaut til the MVC Collection debuts!❤ In short, this game is still amazing to this day! Capcom seriously cooked like masters and im still in awe with it, back when i was 10, to even now when im 40!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I can agree with that, but my personal favorite in the series is still X-Men Vs Street Fighter, first time seeing and playing it was akin to a religious experience.
i used to go over to my cousins house with the snes he had legit 3 games street fighter 2 acrazy NFL blitz game and this xmen one haha we always started off with x men
Xmen Cota still great it plays very differently to the other games in the Marvel series. The other games rely a lot on chain combos. Also this game is more difficult I like that 😊

My guess is that was a cost cutting measure, much cheaper to pay one actress than half a dozen.

The blend of Capcom's original art with art taken directly from the comics was quite striking

The verses games are silly fun, but from a strictly fighting game point of view, this is much better.
