    I totally agree. I used to be in the scrapping industry with cars. I ran a scrap yard for nearly 5 years. I noticed a lot of difference between scrap yards with what they are willing to pay for different types of metals. I will make ingots just because I enjoy it and I will use the ingots to make other things. Just easier to store than cans etc.

Hope you are doing well .

      I know exactly how you feel. when you say you're tired of being tired you hit the nail on the head. I haven't been out since November, apart from my 1st jab. then that knocked me for six and I'm still recovering from that. the doctor gave me a new tablet, which is meant to 'help'. All it has done is completely altered my sleep pattern. Same as you. A couple of hours here and there. Just feel too tired to do anything. With your acid stomach, rather than taking any medication, have you tried cornflour and milk? Fill a mug not too full with milk, pour the milk into a saucepan, leave about half an inch of milk in the mug and add one or two teaspoonfuls of cornflour to the milk in the mug. Put the milk in the saucepan onto boil, then stir the cornflour into a thick'ish consistency in your mug. When the milk comes to the boil pour it back into the mug and stir well. Add sugar if needed. Let it cool enough so it doesn't burn your insides, either drink sips or use a spoon, all depends how thick the consistency is. It works wonders. If you feel sick or have any form of upset stomach, it calms everything down. If the acid comes back just make another mug of it. You can but try, hope it works. Matt.

    Interesting. I would say that the final bar is going to be an unknown alloy, but would be easily converted by an industrial aluminum processor. Isn’t it likely that some of the demand for aluminum bars on eBay is from artists and craftsmen and the like? They are not worthless, but the point that you may be putting in more input costs than you will ever recover is valid.

    I keep thinking about this video asking myself: "Are homemade aluminium ingots really worthless?" I would say "wortless" is a strong word in this case. However, I need more information about the process of recycling aluminium. They press cans to a cube in a scrapping yard. I don't know what follows, though. • @cameraman1234567890
      @cameraman1234567890 Год назад

      You won't get much more at a scrap yard than cans because they still have to make a profit. Selling like on ebay would be better, as instead of the scrap yard wanting about 50% profit, you could gain about 82% profit. Only problem with ebay is paying for shipping, but that can be factored into the price.

  • @chickenhawkfarmstead8478

    Yes I injoy making mine and as long as people are buying them there not worthless. Your video was made 11mouths ago when I am committing and in the US there are lots of solds on ebay for around 2lbs plus shipping. And there are artists that buy them for casting. The value is not just what the scrap yard will pay. I plan on making cast art pieces to sale in the future. So my opinion worthless no but at the scrap yard yea pretty much. Bauxite is…..
    Aluminum as the metal we know does not exist in nature, it is man made product. Other metals do exist in nature, or copper and gold. But saying that aluminum is mined is further from the truth than saying steel is mined….

      Kent, I love knowledgeable comments. I think I should have phrased it Australia is the biggest producer of Aluminium in the world. It's a long time since I made the video so I can't remember what I said, but as Aluminium is an alloy, thinking about it now it can't be mined. Also another gentleman from Scandanavia gave the ratios for what they call Nordic Gold, he said that is what the euro coins are partly made from. I noticed you left another message which i'll reply to now. Thank you for watching the video but most importantly commenting. Both are much appreciated. Thanks, Matt.

    @Mad Matt's Bucket List I was checking up on cleaning aluminium cans and found this video ruclips.net/video/HHWNqxCYMtA/видео.html
    Do you think the whole can would be worth more completely clean? Also would it be worth melting them down then?

      atomvamp good to hear from you. With the video you suggested the cost of the nail varnish remover will far outweigh and outstrip any profit you'd make. It's too expensive. I'll try and do a video where I use a food based chemical, which is cheaper and safer, then I will cut the can up and take it down my yard for them to class the aluminium (aluminum). There are two types of aluminium in a can, the top and bottom and the main body. I was in talks with an Aluminium Mill to arrange a visit for them to explain everything. Then out of the blue they just shut after us emailing for about 5 weeks. I will keep researching and if I find anything out I will either contact you or make a video of it. Sorry I can't be of any more help than that at present. That is as far as my research has taken me. Oh I forgot to ask you. I reluctantly monetised my channel recently. I just think there are too many adverts. If you remember from the video you watched, or if you watch another video of mine, I'd be really interested to hear whether you think there are too many adverts or you are ok with them. Once I get my first payment I will make a video about it. The good, the bad and the ugly, warts and all. Many thanks. Stay safe. Matt.

      I think the best way to make money from the aluminum ingots is if you make them into some unusual or really cool shape that you know people will buy. You probably watch Street Copper 11. If you work out how to make the shapes, then I can't see why you won't make money that way. Just an idea.

      Hey buddy, I'm trying to create a Channel list on the Channel button on my site. I'm going to split it up, hopefully into different categories. Scrappers and EWaste Scrappers. If I can get the different categories to work, which would you prefer Scrappers or Ewaste Scrappers or both? Not 100% sure how to do it yet, but I'll try. Watched your video of the ingots today, your forge looks far easier to pour than a devil forge, you seem to get a smoother pour and ingots from them. Really impressed with how many you've done so far. Keep up the good work. As I said I'd be really interested when you've poured alot more to hear what you think of the forge. I know Freeisbetter were thinking of getting one. They haven't made videos for months now. Another guy did a review of the forge but he had LOADS of different sized Devil Forges and preferred the Devil Forge. Anyway let me know when you've got time. Impressive video today. Well done.

      Oh tell me about it. I'm caught between the devil and the deep blue sea with alot of words that people from America pronounce differently. It's hard to keep everybody happy, Aluminium is the correct way but numerous subscribers from the US complained. Garage is another word. I tried to play safe with Ally but kept slipping into Aluminium or Aluminum. Tough one keeping everybody happy. Many thanks for your comment & watching, much appreciated. Stay safe. Matt.

      @@VintageLifeCars Martin I will stick to the 'Queen's English'. I had sooo many comments about saying the word Aluminium, that's why I made one video saying both pronunciations. One subscriber got pretty angry with me in a comment, but I then explained the difference about British English and American and the history behind it. In the end we got on well, once he knew the history. I love the Australian accent and different words they use. It's hard Yakka and so on. There are a only a couple of TV shows over here to watch from Australia, but I prefer the shows where normal people talk, not actors. Aussie Gold Hunters is a good one. Many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Both are very much appreciated. Stay safe. Matt.

    Brits listen to American pronunciations on TV, they can listen to yours on your channel. Australians don't pander to America, Britain's oughtn't either. All local accents are our heritage and culture.

      Ann it's because i talk way too much. Not do I just go A-Z but round the houses as well. Basically not all Aluminium is made up of the same mix. Think of Greenhouses or The EU cent coins, or aluminium cans. Yes they are all aluminium but not all the same mix in each. That is why Aluminium ingots are worthless as you are mixing all pf those together,, the scrap yard will only give you clean aluminium prices for them. I hope that was alot quicker to read and made sense. Take care. Matt.
