Mine did not have derpy eyes, but I did repaint the eyes entirely red, and added to his eye bags. Also painted the underbrow and inner ears to resemble the vintage figure.
I just noticed that. I didn’t before. It must’ve been a quality control issue. Because I just went to check my buzz saw Hordak and he’s painted just like the original. So I guess. It’s a flaw (or variation😵💫) that Hordak has.
My Hordak figure also has a lazy eye. It’s nowhere near as noticeable as yours is, so I can hide it if I pose him right. Sorry to see the QC goblins got you.

Get a black paint marker and cover the pupils. Then put the red marks on your own. My Hordak has all red eyes. No pupils. Everyone else’s has black w red pupils. Is mine an error or maybe they changed something
Dan just get some citadel model paints(Warhammer model paints) a base set and some fine detail brushes and a non shine paint on varnish pot and then you can paint up errors on your figures and a thin coat of non shine varnish to protect the paint

I love this figure, and I hope they do the rest of She Ra's villains. I also love riding my scoot scoot even though most of the time I use it for work. Today though I just don't really want to go anywhere since I'm kind of lazy, and tired of dealing with morons in traffic. It is stupid how some people just in the hurry to be first at the lights. They would drive wrecklessly, and don't even care about any others on the road. I confront a lot of them, and they just don't care. I just tell them that they're stupid drivers, and they want to fight me. I would to get of my scoot scoot, and beat the crap out of them, but I have to hold back all because I don't want to be in the news, and I have a lot to lose. All I could do is just tell them how stupid and dangerous they're driving, and see if it will reach into their thick stupid heads, or atleast hope they would just crash, and learn from that. I don't wish ill will, but some times you can't help it when they're this stupid. Either than that I really enjoy riding my scoot scoot in a great day when I'm off, or while I'm on my route at my job. I found that black character Clampor I think that's his name. I just wish I could get him, I just couldn't since I was short out of cash. I got a lot of characters over the release times, and I'm want to completer my collection so I can pass it down to other families. I just like looking at them, and displaying them in my cabinet. When I do ride I like to stop at Wally world, and the red dot store to see if they have any in stock. My helmet had a good cleaning. When it gets cold like the winter time. I think I'm going to have to buy another helmet that covers all my face. I was thinking of buying a goggle, but how I'm going to where over my old helmet. I want the helmet that cover all the my face, and still able to lift up when I need to. I don't know if I have to order it, or see if my local motorsport store have it. I also need to buy some good winter gloves for my hand. Something that can warm my hand, or at least keep the freezing wind from penertraing into my finger. That crap really hurts, and I don't think I can ride long again. Right now I'm waiting on my food which I ordered from Chili's. I didn't order where DoorDash would deliver it to me, but I got my two sons to get it better, all because I don't have extra for tip, and plus I've never ordered from DoorDash, or any delivery services like that. I think the last time I have ever ordered a meal where someone delivered it to my home was Pizza Hut. That was like twenty years ago, and I don't remember why I did it, maybe because my kids were like babies, and I didn't really want to get them ready like baby car seats...... you know like skip all the work. This time around I just like getting my own food, or just let my grown kids just get it for me. It's great to have adult kids now. The coolest part is when you children are grown they can take care of the lawn for you, and you can just sit back and relax, but than you realize that they'll soon get out of the nest, and make a family for themselves, and than who's going to do the lawn now? I guess if I'm able by that time I will probably do it, or I would just hire someone to do it, take care of my lawn. So that means I got to get rid of my riding lawn mower, and all the other gardening tools. In one thing if I do that I would have the shed full of space, and I could have a tool shed working bench if I feel like doing some carpentry, I don't really know till that time comes, and It won't come to fast. I just realize again with the extra added space when I do get rid of the gardening tools, that space I could use it for my scoot scoot, and the motorcycle that I want a cb300r Honda. I know it's a starter bike. I don't want to go any faster. The bike that I want goes freaking 90mile in max speed, and I feel that is good enough for the highway, and byways. Way better than the scoot scoot that I'm riding right now. which only goes 60 to 65 miles the most when on a leveled street. When it's up hill, just hope you were already at 65 because it will bog down fast to 50. That why I want the cb300r with it's 300cc motor. In the beginning I was think about getting a liter bike same brand, but I figure all that power is going to get me killed if I do get it. I didn't choose the 300cc right away, I went to a 650cc, and the price of it was still high. I guess looking at the price for the 300cc made more sense for me, and was possible to get. I don't really want to finance it since my credit isn't really good, so I have to save for it. I just hope it don't take to long to get the bike I want. I figure if I save a hundred, or a couple every week I probably could get within five to six months. I just have to work longer hours, and more days if I have the energy to do so. Getting the bike I want is one thing, but you have to account for the other cost that comes with it. You see I'm gong to have to get a new helmet, and a jacket, don't forget the gloves that I mention in the beginning too. Also the cost for insurance, and the stupid tag. In the end it will be worth it since I'm going to be saving a lot in gas like I do now with my scoot scoot. With my new bike when I do get it. I'm going to be riding further without worrying about catching up with traffic. You see with my scoot scoot I could only ride around my area, and if I feel bold enough to go further like another state I have to plan my trip. The reason why I have to do so is because I want to avoid the interstate where all cars, and vehicle exceed the speed limit. Don't get me wrong I do have the right to be on that road with scoot scoot, but it's really scary when stupid morons want to pick on you by cutting in front without signalling all because you don't have the power to catch up with traffic when there's an uphill that you have to battle. So that's why I have to plan my route accordingly, stick with the streets that have a speed limit that is around 55mph. I love riding all because I get to see the scenery, and It's just a great feeling riding. Oh! my boys are back with the food, and I'm so freaking hungry. Some Skeletors paint on the nose is not centered, while others are... I had to look through probably 9 different Skeletors to find one with the best paint, but I guess that's the good thing about having an endless amount of Skeletors at retail, you can most likely find some good ones. I found my Hordak at Target a week or 2 ago, it was the only one... then I saw the entire wave 4, and multiple Ram Mans and Clamp Champs at another Target on Monday. I only grabbed a Ninjor, a ram man and Clamp Champ as I had the others, but when I went back the next day the rest of them were all gone apart from the He-mans, Skeletors, Skysled/Adams, and Battle Cats. I don't understand why Target is ordering so few of each of the "variant" figures, or if it's more an issue with shipments not arriving due to Covid. Either way it's frustrating, because if you're not the first person to seem them on the pegs, most likely you won't see them. I don't know if it's scalpers, or just regular collectors buying whatever they find, but there are so few on the pegs that all it takes is 1 collector that wants duplicates of each figure to clear the pegs of variants or deluxe figures.
it's probably a combination of all things. delayed production/shipment/unpacking due to the pandemic and many collectors wanting multiples contribute to a perfect environment for scalpers
Definitely the vintage looks better, and after watching your video I went to Mercado Libre (like ebay) and bought the super 7 set of she-ra and hordak, those I like better the Filmation look.
A friend of mine on one of the military bases here in Japan found these on the rack at their commissary, and grabbed one for me! Stoked to see a review of it while I wait for him to drop it off :)
My Hordak doesn't have a lazy eye thankfully. Instead, there's a slight paint chip of the white paint and there's a slight bit of black on one side of his forehead.
I thought the Evil Horde were cool AF the first time I seen the commercial..."THE EVIL HORDE HAS NO FRIENDS!" bad guys that are badder than the bad guys...that's cool IMO. Side note I have & been reading the MOTU mini comics collection and see Pixel Dans name in the credits...also cool

Greetings from Brazil. Hordak has by far the worst paint job between all new MOTU action figures. Incredible awful painted, it's very difficult to find one with a perfect Horde chest logo.
I saw a few Hordaks in the shops recently and deliberately skipped on picking him up because the paint job on the chest (at least!) was just total slop. All the other figures have been fine so far. -I do have an Orko where I feel the hat has been glued on a little too squint, but apart from that, the range has been good.
The cape on the vintage figure doesn't look that much shorter. Anyway, I never understood the Horde crossbows. The action feature so barely existent that it's completely pointless, and I don't know why they bothered. I'm disappointed that MOTU Origins did not improve it at all.
Nothing worse on a figure than wonky eyes! Totally throws off the face and ruins the figure. Also the hardest thing to try and correct yourself unless you have a really steady hand and painting skills.

I hate that Mattel has kind of left you in the dust and you have to scrap to get figures now. I have held off on figures in wait for the Pixel Dan review. Are they bitter over the book or something?
I just do not like the new heads on any of the new figures...they should just use the old molds..I woulda bought he man and skeletor a long time ago had they had the classic heads but now they are just peg warmers at walmart.

It’s a brilliant figure. I would have loved the sculpted cape to have been scalloped like the original one. It is a shame that the QC for these MOTU figures isn’t as tight as it should be.
"The Big Three" - Haha I love it! 🙌 I occasionally arrange my Classics & Vintage display to showcase all 5 faction leaders together: He-Man, Skeletor, She-Ra, Hordak, and King Hiss. (It's always comparison time on my toy shelf!) I've never given them an official title, so from now on I'm going to call them "The Big 5." 😄 Now I'm anticipating King Hiss in the Origins line so I can do it all over again. 💪💀👸🦇🐍
An almost perfect figure, if not for that sloppy paint job and a somewhat subpar face sculpt. The vintage, original Hordak wasn't only one of my top 10 fave figures from MOTU, it was also one of my top favorite toys back in the day; so I really wish it would have turned out better.
I got my Hordak last week; my favorite MotU figure from the original line (well, along with the Horde Trooper and Modulok... the Evil Horde was my jam when I was 11!) No paint problems on mine, thankfully; it looks perfect.
Do you have the Super7 releases? Like the blue Hordak they released? You should compare. Also, can you make a fun mix and match video? Like Evil Horde Skeletor, where he has the Hordak armor, just go crazy... haha
I'm sorry about your Hordak eye paint. I haven't even recieved all of wave 2 here yet, but on the bright side, at least I can thank you for reminding me why I don't pre-order! I guess I'm lucky I have that option.
Love MOTU, but there new figures don't look great to me. I was tempted to pick up some of the bad guys, but I dunno, just something about them has put me off.

Mattel really needs to address the QC issues on paint apps for this entire line. Almost every one I've picked up so far has some kind of paint issue.

How is it theses toys are worse than 35 year old toys ?, I know cheap but it's lacking I know copying original but can t help think could be better
I hate that Mattel has kind of left you in the dust and you have to scrap to get figures now. I have held off on figures in wait for the Pixel Dan review. Are they bitter over the book or something?
WOw I got lucky got mine a few weeks ago. no problems with mine except shin joints seem a little loose but easy fix.

I just do not like the new heads on any of the new figures...they should just use the old molds..I woulda bought he man and skeletor a long time ago had they had the classic heads but now they are just peg warmers at walmart.
My hordak doesn’t have the derpy eyes. But you can see the black under the red on his chest
Here's hoping they perhaps in the future release a Jordan figure without the collar for use in customs and stuff.

It’s a brilliant figure. I would have loved the sculpted cape to have been scalloped like the original one.
It is a shame that the QC for these MOTU figures isn’t as tight as it should be.

I occasionally arrange my Classics & Vintage display to showcase all 5 faction leaders together: He-Man, Skeletor, She-Ra, Hordak, and King Hiss. (It's always comparison time on my toy shelf!) I've never given them an official title, so from now on I'm going to call them "The Big 5." 😄 Now I'm anticipating King Hiss in the Origins line so I can do it all over again.

An almost perfect figure, if not for that sloppy paint job and a somewhat subpar face sculpt. The vintage, original Hordak wasn't only one of my top 10 fave figures from MOTU, it was also one of my top favorite toys back in the day; so I really wish it would have turned out better.
I got my Hordak last week; my favorite MotU figure from the original line (well, along with the Horde Trooper and Modulok... the Evil Horde was my jam when I was 11!) No paint problems on mine, thankfully; it looks perfect.

Do you have the Super7 releases? Like the blue Hordak they released? You should compare. Also, can you make a fun mix and match video? Like Evil Horde Skeletor, where he has the Hordak armor, just go crazy... haha

at least I can thank you for reminding me why I don't pre-order! I guess I'm lucky I have that option.
Love MOTU, but there new figures don't look great to me. I was tempted to pick up some of the bad guys, but I dunno, just something about them has put me off.
