Fully loaded bus...if i had the money today I'd have signed contract with you...well done great company. But hope to do business with you soon From Ghana
I like the way Uganda government is promoting manufacturing of vehicles directly. That is the support needed. All car manufacturing countries in the world did get direct government support to reach where they have reached. Watching from Kenya.
Congratulations to our neighbors uganda,i see youve made a stride towards import free importation of buses, hongera sana ,but i wiuld love to ask, those interior seats and other accessories,i hope they are locally made to increase jobs for the locals, kets not be assembly line with imported parts, but still its a great leap
This title is a bit off. Kiira is partnering with CHTC to provide the components for the bus. So, it is a joint operation between Uganda and China. The goal is to procure 90% of the components in Uganda eventually. This means Uganda and China will work closely together to create the supply chain within Uganda. It is a great cooperation. No need to put it like "taking on Chinese EVs". It is team work.
Uganda oyeeeee! Thanks to our good and expert engineers. We as “Uganda” now have a voice in the world. It gives me to believe that we are on top of many countries all over. Long live our country Uganda.

Well done to the Kiira team. Great report. Seeing these developments and enterprises is wonderful. Whether for the first time or as an on going update it's amazing.
You do know that pretty much every component in these vehicles comes form the West. These vehicles are assembled in Uganda. Everything in them is built overseas. The much vaunted Kiira Vehicle Plant has taken years to build and while looks superficially OK from the outside is an empty skeleton on the inside. Wishing Uganda well but a lot of money has been spent on this Company and they have promised a lot and have yet to deliver.
@@AlieuBadjan-tz7nq What happened in China is that the West (and countries like Taiwan and Japan) moved all their manufacturing expertise and capabilities to China to pursue cheaper wages and access to a huge market. China copied that model and sold it back (and also to places in Africa). Mindful of not having that trick played on them China does not sell expertise into Africa - it manages it's projects in Africa using it's own staff. China has massive steel foundries, manufacturing hubs that produce parts, semiconductor plants, ... Uganda has nothing like that - they are basically importing everything and assembling it. South Africa has/had the kind of deep manufacturing capabilities in the 1970s and 80s, but has trouble keeping the lights on today ... industries cannot fundamentally work 24-7 without power.

Excellent video, great buses and cars, well done, Kiira Uganda, I was very impressed and shared the video with my family and friends. We are all shocked 😮. Brilliant engineering. The only thing I didn't like , was the square obstacle in the gangway at the rear of the first bus on the floor. The passengers walking from the front to the rear seats, would need to climb over that big dangerous obstacle. It presents as a potential trip hazard. All gangways and walkways should be free of obstructions. That's my only complaint. Apart from that, your buses are very good. ❤
well done Uganda. it would have been nice to have hybrids or longer range. for countries that are widely populated like Namibia, it can only be used in a city. Namibia 300 to 500km between some towns and the bus range is 280km. but you said the buses are made to the customer requirement.
