Not sure if you guys cares but if you're stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my gf for the last months xD
So much fun showing you and Yuka around! 🤘 Your editing style for POV is unbelievable... With the subtle music here and there... Camera banter.. and voice over. I love it! 🎥🤘😎🤘
Watched a few of your videos before, but seeing you clean the bench made me a subscriber. I rode this trail this fall, and didnt even attempt to ride it. Watching you clean that was super impressive. Awesome video
Bike, skill and trail vs envy. I hardly ever get bike envy. Skill only inspires me. But, man, this gives me massive trail envy!!! Glad I stumbled on your channel.
Love from Alberta man been watching for awhile i know you took the big step of leaving and going where the trails takes you man i pray for safety and hope everythings working out
I love this “COpov” of the Horsethief Bench!!! Lol awesome to see all the vintage BCpov camera angle on my local trails! BUT that outdoor guy wearing his camera and gimbal like he was filming a video..... 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ oh well, great work Eric!
Great vid... Love the 'Bench'. We make time to visit Fruita every year to ride. NW Arkansas is our stompin grounds so the lengthy CO downs are incredible in comparison. Keep on keeping on!
Thanks for this video! I can scarcely ride through a nice gentle trail and seeing this makes me cringe just looking at the rocks where to me there just is NO PATH thru there! You bike skills are just absolutely phenomenal! I don't even want to think about going there - I'm far too old to take such chances. Healing would take so long I might be dead before I heal.....!
Great video Eric. The "Western" music was fun and spot on cowboy 🤠 You did a great job handling the new terrain and that @outdoorgold guy 😂 Happy Trails 🤘🚲
Nice ride, after breaking four vertebrae in August I would strongly suggest some form of spine protection. Wish I would have, not sure if I will ever ride again, though I am hopeful. It happened on terrain not anywhere as difficult as this. Take care, have fun, be safe.
One of my favorite trails anywhere. I've never cleaned the entrance, but the whole trail is a lot of fun and seems to be mostly downhill. Weather this weekend looks a little chilly, but I might have to head out there the next warm-ish weekend.
When you're back in BC, come out to Saltspring Isl sometime. Would love to take ya out on Mt Tuam .. lots of drops & steep technical stuff you'd probably love it.
Nice job on the bench! I was there ten years ago and my friends talked me out of it. Went back again 4 years ago convinced I would do it and chickened out again, although I was on a fully rigid 29er without a dropper. Next time I may have to try some local tutelage 👍
just stunning, especially right now when Island riding is so dank and wet. mind you, we can still ride so there's that.... what Transition is buddy riding, can't figure it out.
@@TheCrashingDad yeah i figured it out when it was laying on its side. same as mine, same colour. i've got a 150mm fork though and -1 works components headset. had it since new, still an awesome bike.
@@laurenlabossiere461 what headset is that exactly?.... I feel like that could actually be a great addition (even with a 130 fork)... Taking it from 67.5° to 66.5° 🤔
Great video, really interesting to see the different terrain as you head south. One request I have. When you ride the different trails, could you give us your opinion on what combination of wheel size and suspension travel you think would be the optimum set up for that particular trail. I know this might be somewhat subjective but would help us newbies understanding the many different combinations of setups available on a mountain bike. I am in the market for a new bike in 2019 and I am torn between long travel 29 er and mid travel 27.5 Many thanks.
@@TheCrashingDad | That'd be awesome! I cleaned The Bench....back in 2011. It looks so, so much more burly now. You guys had better bring a LOT of fireworks! 🤘😎🤘
@@TheCrashingDad | Yikes! You guys made it look easy, along with many other features on that trail. That move you pulled at 12:30 was stellar. GoPros can't convey how steep the run-up was, so getting the speed right, followed by the body English and balance? Dude, you nailed it. And then BCPOV sticks that skinny ledge like it was nothing. That had to have been a 20ft fall to pure rock death on the left. You guys are next level.
You MTB guys get to try it over and over and over. Us dirt bike guys get one go and it better be good! Nice ride, always wanted to check out Horse Thief, but it was closed to OHV before we lived in CO.
I drove through there last summer and I really wanted to stop and go for a ride. However, my wife and kids were not up for sitting in the van while I go for a ride. LOL!
I have to get out west to bike soon, these videos make me jealous being on the east coast. Also -- hitting that first tech section clipped in was making me nervous just watching haha.
Dang ....Yuka is a great rider! she tries a lot of hard stuff....she is still riding her Norco. I would like to see video on Yukas bike. the specs, what she added and taken away etc. please do a brief story on her bike! and your bike to Eric!
great job dropping into horsethief! you were so controlled you made it look doable for someone like me. i've been there lots of times so i know how intimidating it can be. ...maybe next time, if i still have medical insurance,
I haven't seen any here...but we'll frequently run into cows on this trail 😆 it's actually quite terrifying to come ripping around a corner coming up on a giant animal in the middle of the trail...
I know what you mean with the whole desert is a new experience. I ride in Winnipeg on a former canada games trail called bision butte. I really think you’d enjoy it if you’d like to pay a visit!
Rode this trail in the summer. I chickened out on the start drop. This video doesn't show just how steep it is! It was hard enough to hike back out never mind ride it. The trail at the bottom is so much fun though
That guy on Instagram is the smoothest craziest I've seen anyone do it. I'm also glad this video finally answered the question I had about where the f@#k does the trail go in the little ravine bit on the "rock skinny".
Check out RC and Sheyns attempt at the drop in!

Thanks Sheyn! It's a lot of work, but I think its worth it in the end!
That cliff at 7:18 is where you are grateful for your brakes and hope that you aren't rear ended. Nice group of people. Beautiful view.

It definitely makes you think twice about your life decisions when you see it in person 😬
Great video Eric, looks like you guys challenged yourselves quite a bit on this one. Thanks again for stopping by. 👍🌵🚵
Good job Eric-pei!
Thanks wifie-pei!
Omg.. i would die on the technical rocky face at the beginning!
Oh and also on that skinny :/

Mountainbiking and geology ... sweet combo when you get OUT THERE! :)

Nice! I like the Danny MacAskill reference, he's my favourite cyclist! That first view of the river was pretty stunning eh.
