They Said the Riding Was No Good.

- When my buddy James said the riding near Ottawa was flat and uninteresting, my hopes weren't high, but Antoine and Laurent knew better. We rode Oz, Uberpunch, Quebec Cup, Salamander, and Evergreen! They were rad!

Same this channel is amazing

Tobso That’s so true
Same
Same his voice has a certain sound to it
Nice to see my local trails get some exposure
@Carson Brown 3x same
Me too ride there all the time
Same
i live 5 minutes away
must be nice too have a local bikepark
Having built trails for 4 years at Fortune and as the one responsible for that step up, it warms my cockles to see it cased in HD from the comfort of my own home.
Are most of these trails DH bike friendly or are they pedally?
@@camerontakacs3754 yes, Fortune is steep and rough enough to justify a DH bike. Come check it out!
@@chrissinclair8395 definitely making my way there next year, this is great news.
I’ve never mountain biked should I start here
That step up is my favourite jump at fortune
So stoked you made it out to Camp Fortune man! I work at a kids mountain bike camp at Fortune, and have spent basically the past seven summers living on this mountain. It's awesome to finally have some BC guys show off just how gnarly the east can really be!
I broke my collar bone on that hill a few years back. It's really a properly gnarly hill. And I love it!
those trails looks so epic!
Surprisingly steep! You would've liked it!
Love your videos Jordan
they are
I see your videos
@Jacob Lewis a green rated trail
Believe it or not, we're well prepared in the east for our trips out west. Definitely more XC, but Kanata Lakes is fun too for rock riding.
Yuka'n do it. 😂
That's gotta be on her merch t-shirt!! Hope she sees this! 😁😁😁
@Zac Crossley it's pretty cheesy 😅
The yukàn do it drop is a thing now! 😂
@@owenpanici9377 Really!? 🤣 That's awesome! Can I get a link to a recent one? 😁
HAHAHA...I LOVED Sarah's explanation of racing. That is EXACTLY how I feel about it. I WANTED to enjoy racing enduro, and I think a race or two a year is fun, but there's SO MUCH standing around, mindless pedaling between stages, and that feeling of riding right at the limit with high risk, that I just finally realized 5 or 6 race series are just not my cup of tea. Great video, and those trails looked like a blast. I love that technical style of riding!
haha, i totally understand her point of view. especially after a whole season of racing, you get pretty over it sometimes :)
Looks like some really nice trails. And good that Yuka's eye didn't get worse... Hey! Look, a squirrel! (@ 16:41)
It's at 16:10 to 16:20
Woahh awesome natural trails. Here in austrian bike parks they are just building flow trail after flow trail after flow trail...
I would love to have such a variety of natual technical trails with lift access. Especially for trail bike riding.
I gotta say as an Ottawa local its nice to hear someone from the Alps envious of our humble little downhill park. Puts things in perspective. Come visit someday! Mont Ste Marie is nearby as well and has much longer trails that are just as technical
@@mikekelly7862 its in chelsea not ottawa
BeeCPOV. Poor Yuka. The worst part is the itching.🤯
Your ladies ride more serious stuff than most of my guy friends. Good going
Those trails look super fun. Good technical mountain biking really does not need a lot of vertical feet.
Awesome! That's my local spot. Glad you enjoyed it, we're pretty lucky here.
You are!
@@BCpov It's funny seeing ones own local trails on video and then realizing they they are pretty spicy :-) I was out in Golden this summer to visit family and brought my bike ... it was amazing riding but kinda missed the tech-jank that we got out here.
I'm really enjoying your editing these days! It has a great style and feel and I find it well balanced!
I highly recommend adding some Zyrtec to your ride bag - should stop the reaction to the sting. Cool trails and Sarah looks like a shredder!!!
An EPI Pen would be a nice addition as well, Anaphylactic shock is no joke and if somebody else has a reaction that your riding with you could save a life.
You just need Benadryl
Camp fortune!!! My home bike park!
Man that place is so beautiful Eric thanks for sharing loved the footage 👏
Lol dont feel too bad, i cased that step up a half dozen times before i finally cleared it , good times yeeew!
lol same
Haven’t tried it considering that I had a hard tail but now I just got a full suspension I think I’m gonna send it
@@benjaminw.4913 same. Have you sent it yet?
Camp fortune is my local park! Sick to see it in a video
So lucky!
Al ex never biked there ski there all the time
BCpov: Wow what a workout!
The suspension: Hold my drink
0:02 turn on caption, I like it when the word BCpov have the big and small letters switch.
That bee sting is a good reminder that I should throw some benadryl in my pack. I don't know why that never occured to me before.
super awesome trails and super impressed that Yuka helt her own. pity about her eye. thanks for the adventure.
Yuka always impresses :) She can keep up with the guys.. and even Sarah!
"Yuka do it!" 😏
The land of pipe are snow canons in the winter.
Just discovered your channel today, love it! Yuka kicks ass too!
I'm starting to think Antoine secretly doesn't like you. Double Black?
haha, thrown into the deep end!
Yuka is a trooper. I would have been flipping out due to a bee sting. Those things suck!!
Nice rock features, the bee sting Yuka got looks painful 😖
I literally can't stop bi going your vids, hoping some of these skills I'm seeing will stick once I start riding :)
I love watching these videos because I can't bike due to me falling off. amazing videos!
I have woods by me that has walking trails. There's always get spider webs.
Wonder if get bad there to
Great idea for Yuka to make some extra money for her videos. "Yuka do It!" stickers. Put me down for 5 of those right away bud :-)
Beautiful trails there great vid
I ride Fortune every week. Epic mountain, glad you liked it ✌️
Sweet Trails 😉 Eric and Yuka 👌 🚴🚴😉👍
thanks taffy!
My friend does the same thing when we bike. He makes me go down double blacks and try to keep up with him on the first lap. Really is helping me get better though, so kind of a good thing!
thank you. I think i will try to hit next summer if we do go to Ottawa
Stings like that try applying mint gum like Trident, the mint helps with the sting and swelling. Awesome trip guys keep up the great content!!!
love your vids
Wow so cool seeing people ride in my home town
This channel is great and is so underrated
Can't wait to seen the new sponsors and rigs Maybe Druid?
I always go skiing there and never knew the had mountain biking I’m definitely going soon
Satisfyin video❤💯
I think a trip to Quebec is in store next summer!!!!
this is a awesome trail
I know this is really late for you guys but if you get stung again, keep tobacco (tiny amount) with you and wet it and put it on the sting (hold it on gently pressing and releasing for a couple of minutes). It will neutralize the sting and prevent more swelling and discomfort. Benadryl comes in handy too but tobacco will work more immediately and reduce or stop anything that would come otherwise. I was stung from the neck down to my feet and tobacco saved me. Happy riding and I'm glad I found your channel.
bcpov i can't do those sharp turns! how do you do that is like magic, plz reply bcpov
Sorry Im a year late but I've been wanting great vids of fortune and you have provided this.
You have yourself one great wife... she’s a trooper
yea shes funny too
Damn all the trails in Quebec are soo much better than what we have in Ontario
I always laugh when I ride a "double diamond" in Ontario, they're blue's in Quebec lol .
Wow my hometown! I wish we rode!
I feel your pain, Yuka! I got stung by a wasp in my mouth one time. My lip got so swollen, but I carry antihistamine, so took one right away. I recommend you carry some all the time, it works! These trails look so good, nice and raw, lots of fun.
I love this trails I am going to the, every week
“And Sara tells a joke” ah yes, the most important part
We used to race DH here back in the day. But I didn't know the trail bike trails were so good!
That’s dope I ride there sadly I wasn’t there the day you went I don’t think
Hope I was there to see you, I live in Chelsea and this is my local mountain
Go to Mont Sutton! They got brand new trails and they are amazing.
Hey there! Quick question, where do you place your gopro? And what accessory do you use if its hooked up differently? Thanks mate! Love you camera angle
I grew up in the PNW (Washington) and have lived in NJ/NY and now Toronto. Mountain sports (skiing and mtb'ing) are less vertical but more technical, be that rocks or ice/lack of powder. Takes some adjustment IME.
P.S. as someone who reacts badly to wasp stings, a mud bath immediately on the sting can help eliminate would-be swelling, but really only if done quickly. That is apart from epi-pens, benidryl, or other drugs.
you should go to colorado the mountain biking there is unreal in dillon.
Oh I didn't realize that BCpov had been around here, I gotta say that while yeah the only good mountain biking is up in the gatineaus specifically camp fortune it makes up for it in the cross country cycling, an extensive paved trail network through the forests and by lakes (sometimes over lakes and swamps) and some really fun pure tech trail networks on the exposed rock (like the south march highlands).
south march highlands sucks.
You're missing a valve cap...? 1:00 😉
Well that looked fun.
Best mountains in Ontario is a hidden secret most people dont know about. 30 minutes north east of Sault Ste Marie Ontario is a ski resort area called Searchmont. The mountains here are steep and pretty amazing scenery full of rivers and lakes. There are few trails there if driving thru the area. Hopefully new owners of ski resort will start a bike park soon. It's really an incredible area. Best mountains in the midwest hands down.
ittybittyshoeshine link to a video please. There’s nothing on Trailforks sooo...
Little did she know, years later a trail feature would be named after that joke :)
Good vídeo, i live in Spain, you go to Zona Zero
Glad Yuka's OK 👼
Yes put your neck brace on in a du-rag made out of silk keep the bugs from biting you
Hey! im james! I just moved to vancouver and the trails at north shore is so flat and all flow no tech at all!
You have very squeaky suspension!
I live 25 minutes away from this place and didn’t even know there was a bike park😭😭
my suspension squeeks like that too. How do you fix it?
You did one trail 2 times but still awsomey
I live in Ottawa but only have an xc bike so I think if I took it on theses trails it might not end while, but right now they are closed due to covid so maybe in the summer I will go and rent
On the other side (main lodge), you can bike up the trail road and then do Sunset. That's a very nice XC trail that's properly gnarly :)
what bike do you use
which part of ottawa is this bro?what is the name of the bike park?
What GoPro are you using?
Did you ride Halifax when you were on the east coast?
I loved McIntosh run, a good technical challenge
At 1:35 it looked like he had double gravity pulling him down.
Who else watches for the satisfying noises 😂
Yep!!!
Finally in Ontario
this is Quebec, not Ontario...
🤘🤘🤘
You are the best
Antoine: to Yuka "she likes it tuff😏"
hahahahahahahaah
I wish he went to my trials that I ride at lac beauchamp
Fortune rules!
SARA! I'm in love!
that would be fun on a dirtbike
beautiful
I live in Ottawa
I just checked the temperature in Ottawa and I don’t understand how you guys are in shirts and shorts? It’s like 5 C out here in Saskatchewan
Keep in mind that by the time a video is edited and published, it could be months later. I just finished posting a bunch of riding from spring. I'm gonna be starting on summer now. 😉👍
The Duke of MTB Well I’m certain the video was recent because the trees had changed colours haha
What next? Bromont? Blue mountain? Or did you pack it up and head back?
I made a bromont vid :) Decided to go the opposite direction and went to the maritimes next.
Bromont is amazing! Can’t wait for the video to drop. If you ever decide to come to blue mountain I’d be happy to be a guide to the riding outside of the park. Nothing like b.c. But there’s some gems. Cheers!
Lol, wait no longer, it's out already!
Is this kind of stuff possible with a hardtail? I wont ever be able to afford a full suspension bike
I did see a guy at Fortune once do it on a hardtail. He had to have been pro though they way he rode.
That Yuka joke hurt me.
Anyone know the song at 2:18?
i saw you with other clicks i drive with spd's and you i love you videos and i hope you reply here
