I live in the netherlands so these video's are absolutely useless to me. But i watch them anyway because.... Wel its a nother video from seth, cant miss that!
I just gotta say it's great to see some subjective scores being applied appropriately. Reviews of more or less any product often lose meaning to me on the internet and it's so difficult to filter through bias and sponsorship based reviews for a nice detailed and balanced breakdown of something. 1-10 with 5 actually being treated as average means more to me than I could ever explain.
Highland is what's up for sure, that tombstone drop definitely has to be on your list of things to do for the next time you go. The hardest part of that drop is convincing yourself to do it. Plenty of people around that would happily tow you in for a speed check.
Hey Seth, I was wandering if you could consider making some more bike park rating videos since I really enjoyed them. I live in the UK i'm only nine years old and I ride at my local BMX track nearly every weekend, you have inspired me to ride mountain bikes when i'm a bit taller.
You can get into them any time. Buy a good kids bike and ride at whatever trails you can find. Don’t make the same mistake I did and start riding late. You might end up being to scared to try anything.
Im Pass Holder and ride their about 3 to 4 times a week this season. I love the lift! also if there ever is a line it moves faster than expected. I love that you talk about the vibe and community. It's easy to make friends there :)
I just recently got back into riding mountain bikes after not riding since right after high school. Just found your videos and wanted to tell you I love them. They keep me motivated to really want to go riding. Living by the coast in South Carolina its petty flat though, makes me so jealous to see what you get to ride. Keep up the good work!
Nice video Seth! I'm from Malaysia & I ride an MTB to commute to work. Thanks to all your mtb tips & tricks, now I'm able to cut short the riding time by bunny hopping drains, kerbs & riding stairs. That's getting to work in style! Keep up the good work & keep them video's coming! God bless ya!
2:20 if you meant the dirt jumps when you said "jump park" thats just part of a normal lift ticket as long as you stay low key about it nobody is going to care. just dont use aggressive knobby tires on lower sherwood or the big lines at upper, many people will get pissed off at you, including me.
NH is epic. I live like 30 minutes away from drummer hill, where Phil learned to ride. And highland is an hour and a half drive. Plus NH is pretty. Fall foliage, white snow, green trees, and blue lakes. It’s also cool to see people like you who live here as well on the internet because it’s such a small state.
MotorBoatMyGoat2 yes I did. I saw this video when it came out but then I rewatched cause I have nothing else to do. I saw ur comment and replied. Thx for not ignoring. I thought u were gonna.
Thanks for the review. Highland appears to be the very exact type of place I'm thinking would be a huge benefit to my community. My only trouble is that there isn't a place that I've found (so far) that's big enough to have all of the bike trails I'd like to incorporate. But Highland appears to be a good model for the park I envision. One day I hope to have one in my community here in southern Arizona. I am enjoying these park reviews so far. Keep up the good work! Stay upright and keep the rubber side down!
I'm diggin' these reviews. I'd like to see another category for scoring apres/bar scene for after your ride though. Beer selection, pricing, bartenders, etc. Cheers!
Alpha Re it is unreal! I went to highland this past weekend for my first time. I had never ridden downhill (I ride a ton of single track and XC). I think I may have found my new favorite type of riding! Definitely worth the trip to Highland!!
Hey Seth! If you are planning for some fun on your way home or on your way back up to New England, I recommend Bryce or Massinutten bike park. I can say that bryce is a small and sweet operation, but I don't know about Massinutten. They are in the northern part of Virginia if you are ever interested. Never stop what you're doing and keep shedding it up my dude!
Awesome video! I had a Camber a few years ago but sold it after a shoulder separation. Looking to get another mtb and definitely want to check out Highlands ASAP
Yup, I was! I had smashed my derailleur the weekend before and I didn't have it, so I decided what the hell, I'll take of the shifter, derailleur and chainring!
Loved the video and will definitely try to visit some time!!! But it's a little hard for me because I'm from Slovenia 🇸🇮 Europe 🇪🇺 but it's worth the trip!!! Sometime i will definitely visit. Thank you for showing the park and i love your videos!!!
Great stuff Seth. Just discovered your vid's. love'em. Your analysis and rating system are well thought out. There are a lot of people on RUclips "reviewing" things (they are REALLY just "trying" to review things & gain views) --- from bourbon whiskey to ski's. Much of it is poorly thought out, poorly displayed in the vid, or their communication skills (in one way or another) are not up to snuff. Your video's incorporate none of these issues. Well done!
You are one of the only people I have ever watched who rates anything as 5 as the actual middle. You look at movie reviewers and their "average" is usually around a 80 when realistically it should be around a 50. I like the way you grade things.
Please make more of these videos seth I love these bike park rating videos. I realize it will be hard now as winter is coming and most bike parks are closing. I'd also like if you just rated trails too, such as asheville alongside bike parks.
Let us known when you head to Vermont! You should really ride Killington, Burke, and Bromont (up in Quebec). Killington is by far my favorite. Incredible trail variety, fast lifts, no lines, and great fun!
