    Seth, I once hit my funny bone really hard on the corner of a wall, the left side of my hand was completely numb for about a week after but gained full sensation back in the end

    • @SethsBikeHacks
      @SethsBikeHacks  6 лет назад +22

      that’s comforting! I read that I should give it a few weeks and then see a doctor if it’s not gone. So hopefully you-me-same.

    • @jeffeyro
      @jeffeyro 6 лет назад +1

      I once got hit by a baseball bat (full swing) in the funny bone. My fingers were stuck, completely locked into a fist for the first few hours. It took about 3-5 days for my pinky and ring finger to unlock and fully extend. Oddly, nothing was broken and after my fingers all came up, I was good to go!

    • @FindaratoCarnesir
      @FindaratoCarnesir 6 лет назад +1

      I also got a serious knock in the wrong place like this (though I did it with a ladder, not a bike). I nearly passed out from the shock, and it took several days for the sensation to fully return in my hand. But ever since, I get some tingling feeling every now and then from my elbow to my pinky finger. So don't wait too long with seeing a doctor if it doesn't go away soon!

    6:20 I get like this too. I've learned that when I nail it and then start pushing it, it's time to go home, rest up asap. Sleep on it, and hit it again in the morning well rested. I'll usually find myself more consistent (and flowy, like it's natural) and making less mistakes.
    Scientifically, it makes sense because your brain commits its neuroplasticity when you sleep well after learning or experiencing something. So good rest is essential to keeping (and further developing) your newfound skill! I know how hard it is to fight the urge to keep going back at it... usually just ends up in me getting hurt...

    Goood job Seth!!! I injured my ulnar nerve ( elbow funny bone ) really bad earlier this year, it’s not fun or funny! Months later the tingly numbness subside but the nerve is still super Ficial.

    Hey Seth, this winter you should check out Austin Texas. Wether you go mountain biking or just want to check it out, it'll be 60 and sunny in the dead of winter and it's great🤙

    Terrific storytelling Seth, I was really engaged and I was so happy when you landed that first backflip! I’m hooked!
    Phil! Glad to see you’re still making videos and working with Seth. Did you figure out your finances and decide to continue making videos? Miss your videos and tutorials.

    Just wanted to say hi and thanks for ALL the videos. I just started riding this summer with a hand me down bike I got from my brother but after watching your videos I already want to start saving and the the beginner bike you spoke of in the “Build a beginner bike video” and learn to do the stuff you do. You make it all look so easy and fun. Anyways I don’t want to take up much of your time and I just wanted to say hi and I’ll keep watching for new videos everyday. Hope to get a thumbs up from you man.

    Well done Seth. Seriously impressive stuff. Takes guts to try that, I can appreciate it as a 35yr old bike rider (roady). Would love to give it a try some day. Fantastic facility over there!
    Keep up the great content!

    Funny bone smashes really hurt.
    But after a while you get the feel back it your hand. I did it in the middle of August. In two weeks i got full feeling again but for the mean time. Prepare for major pins and needles in your right hand if you sleep on it

    Seth I wrecked on my bike a month ago and went funny bone first into a rock. I lost feeling in all my fingers for a day then one by one I got it back. My pinkie took the longest though and didn’t have feeling in it for about 3 weeks. All good now though. Hopefully yours heals okay just like mine did
