- In this video, I got to the Nether in Nothing Skyblock. If you don't know what that is, it's a challenge where you're on a Skyblock island, except you don't get the tree or the chest. Even in this ridiculous circumstance, you can still play through the game(it just takes forever).

This video is about a Minecraft Skyblock challenge. Similar to aCookieGod and his Hardcore One Block series and ezY and his Hardcore Skyblock series. This is a different kind of video compared to the normal Hardcore Minecraft videos I normally make which are inspired by Sandiction, ACookieGod, Wunba, WadZee, Aidn, Skyes, Wildez, Mello, and people from SMPs like Grian and Mumbo Jumbo from Hermitcraft, Parrot, 4CVIT, ashswagg, baconwaffles0, BranzyCraft, ClownPierce, ItzSubz_, JumperWho, Leow0ok, Mapicc, McClutchYT, and rekrap2 from the Lifesteal SMP, and Technoblade and Dream from the Dream SMP.

19:10 "I built this all out of snow so the lava won't set the wood of the island on fire." I find this so very funny as it shows just how spotty Minecraft physics can be at times. Lava can catch wood on fire and melt ice but it can't melt snow for some reason.

This is what I love so much about Minecraft physics. It makes no sense and that’s so funny to me. Even the fact that a human can safely carry around multiple buckets of lava is so crazy. And that a person in Minecraft has the strength to carry up to 36 full stacks of anvils, but can die from getting hit with a single one in the head. The physics are wacky and I love it.

@@silh3345also they are 2 blocks tall with either means they are 2 meters tall and have a 1 meter vertical jump or very short and cant jump very well

Did you know you can also get buckets of water from the wandering trader too! If you buy the bucket of fish and place it, kill the fish, then scoop the water back up, you have a bucket of water. The only think is I don’t know if it’s faster for a cauldron to fill up completely or for 5 foxes to spawn with an emerald since you would need 5 emeralds to get the trade. The benefit of the wandering trader is that you don’t have to waste iron to craft a bucket or gamble the trader dropping the milk bucket. Could be an interesting idea to see which is faster.
I totally agree with you because I was just realizing that can speed up the process of also getting a nether portal because of the tactic speed runners use
I actually forgot about he was using water with a cauldron, but I want to see which one would also take longer

He uses the exact same songs in every episode, tbh it gets a bit annoying for me
To get lava you could, turn zombies using the water into drowns, which will then have the chance to drop copper which you can then turn to lightning rods. Then I noticed you have carrots in your inventory and the grass at the start could have been spread to allow for pigs to spawn. And using the carrots and wood you could make a hoe to start a farm also using the water and breeding pigs you can then use the lightning during a thunder storm and then when lightning strikes you can get gold.
Then using the oak trees you can get apples and using the gold you can get golden apples
Waiting for a witch and zombie villager you can trick the witch into splash the zombie villager with a weakness potion then using the golden apple you can get a villager.
Then, what are we talking about again?
Really cool idea, but how would it help to get lava? I just checked all the trades and there is no way somebody sells you lava
@@vlator Yup, there is no legitimate way to obtain lava in vanilla skyblock, so only way to legitimately win would be to find an end portal with all eyes filled :P
I do wish there were a way to obtain lava without having lava to begin with. Like a trade perhaps or some different mechanic, lightningstrike melting gravel or so.

This is just absolutely an amazing challenge. Blown away. For some feedback I might cut out (some of) the times you backup your world because it's a lot of fast forwarding for me.
This is my favorite skyblock series. The restrictions are just brutal.
Dripstone also needs to be on a dripstone block to grow, so you should've bought another two so you could also craft a dripstone block

the Raysworks 1 block start series is a very insane example of such a run
You still need the lava, there's no way to get lava out of scratch. If I remember correctly, Ray's works had a lava block in the over world.

Can't you use the bucket of tropical fish sold by wandering trader to get water?
Here's a way to get lava that doesn't work:
1. Get a villager by using a zombie villager and a witch for weakness. (The golden apple can be obtained from smelting down gold armor from mob drops and turning that into ingots)
2. Make the villager an armorer, level him up, then hope for the 40% chance of a lava bucket.
The reason this doesn't work is because to make the villager an armorer, you need a blast furnace which isn't obtainable without stone.
Let me know if you find any other flaws in my plan.

You would need the dripstone either way, but buying a bucket of fish is a bucket with water in it (and also a live fish). Filling a cauldron with rain is not the only way to get water. Depending on luck it may be faster though.

Mobs cant spawn on buttons and pressure plates, so you can use them to spawnproof the snow platform (that one with lava generator) and the step in front of the nether portal

I really wish there was a way to obtain lava from nothing in vanilla Minecraft.
A really fair way they could do it is add it as a rare item from cats gifting.
This means you need to cure 2 villagers and breed them (ye no way of saying this will ever make is sound not lewd and gay) to get cats you need water to fish and you'll need to make a gifting farm.
So it's really fair, but at least possible.
@@ozthebeeman how would you get gold for golden apples to cure the villagers with though? You couldn’t get to the nether for a gold farm, and would would have no way of getting stone for a furnace to smelt gold armor into gold nuggets. The only way I could think of is going back to when drowned dropped gold and drown zombies.

Ofc you'll need drowned for copper, than copper rods for ease of use.
You can get more dirt if needed from a wondering trader Ofc.
If you don't than you can combine golden armour and smelt it for nuggets.

You can try zero block SkyBlock, with just 2 mods (ex nihilo+ gravestone) you can kill dragon and build full netherite beacon 😎

I've got myself a superflat world in which I decided to challenge myself to play without structures. So I've started only with the bonus chest, which gave me a few pieces of wood and 2 apples (for the villagers). I have managed to build myself a path finding mob farm and after a lot of hours I got my iron. I managed to save 2 villagers and got wood from the wandering trader.
I wanted to get lava on my world, without cheating of course, but there isnt a way yet even in 1.21. I knew about that I could downgrade my world to version beta 1.9 prerelease (to get a nether portal) in which superflat didn't exist. I tried to search for tutorials on the internet on how to do it, but didn't find any. Anyways after a lot of struggle and hours I managed to do it on my own. It worked, I had a nether portal in my world. In my world I am currently 572 minecraft days in but I still feel like it's cheating in a way, y'know? Would you consider this as cheating? I've been thinking for a few day now.

For water you could have bought a pufferfish bucket from the trader
you could get a bell from a wandering trader and then build a village so villagers will spawn then give them jobs and master them until you can buy lava bucket from one of the blacksmiths or smth
