Wow I was expecting this video to have that really fast editing and someone talking very loudly but this video is actually pretty entertaining, it felt like an adventure, I didn't even know you could even get anywhere by starting in the nether!

Im not sure if its only a bedrock thing, but you can bonemeal mushrooms to make those big ones and thats how my friends and I survived in the nether

I remember playing a survival game starting in the nether, back when the snapshots for 1.16 were releasing. Zombie Pigmen chilling in Lava ponds, before their arms behaved like those of zombie, is my finest memory

Piglins don’t like it when you mine gold ore. You also could have used the bone blocks to make bonemeal to make big mushrooms which can give you a lot more regular mushrooms
Yeah I tried but they wouldn’t grow! And ohhh that explains it
they wont grow in wastes, basalt deltas and soul sand valleys, but they will grow in crimson and warped biomes, it may have something to do with the nylium there?
yeah it’s to do with the light level. normally you can grow big mushrooms on any dirt like block as long as the light level is low enough. the ambient light level of the nether is higher than that threshold however. there are some blocks like mycelium, podzol, and nylium that allow you to grow big mushrooms regardless of light level. using the nylium then lets you get the big mushrooms and get a lot of return for a small amount of bonemeal

A fun little watch, thanks. At least you can actually live in the nether now, there's all sorts of stuff to be had. When I first built a base in the nether it was 2011 and I had to take chicken eggs, saplings and seeds to survive, as there was no trading or wood or stone or anything like that!

Just take the bone blocks. Craft them to bone and then bonemeal. Finally bonemeal the mushrooms. Infinite food source

its nether gold with an outline, a lot of ore texture packs give them outlines so they're easier to distinguish from natural blocks

Bro had mushrooms everywhere AND were near a soul sand valley and yet refused to just plant the mushrooms and bone meal them, constantly searching for more mushrooms while dying of hunger, bro took Harcore to another level

Recently began a Nether-only series with a few friends, and realized almost immediately how ridiculous the "Nether is hard" statement is. Food is easier to come by than expected (I now respect the addition of composters to the game), resources are just what you need, and warped forests could not be safer.

you can go to the normal world by geting blackstone and making pic the g o a fortress yhen get iron then get gold then trade for obsidan then also get a firecharge to light up the portal

I did a challenge like this where if I went into the overworld I would get the poison effect unless I had regernation. I think it would be a cool mod to add a new potion to allow me to go into the overworld but last longer than 80 seconds lol. Also a mod where you can duplicate water in the nether somehow

The best thing is he comited a Heist in the Bastion Remnant and got 2 SMITHING TEMPLATES FOR NETHERITE EQUIPMENT, I WISH FOR THAT AS WELL.

You can have your friend set the world spawn to the other then send you the world download or you can install a data pack from modrenth

i actually did this challenge for myself shortly after the nether update. instead of sort of speedrunning to get to the ender dragon though, i just went until i got full netherite and built a house in the nether with the intention of using the overworld like the nether in a regular vanilla gameplay (that's to say no bases in the overworld, just going in and out for resources and back and only when completely necessary)
anyways this is how i found out the hard way that a chicken from a baby zombified piglin jokey does not lay eggs lmao

I like having subtitles on, and it's much more useful in the Nether as well. When Mining the gold nugget blocks I look out for when the text reads "Piglin Snorts Angrily", and usually that's how I know I messed up mining near one I may not have spotted, before they can get the drop on me.

Hmmm well the only difference would be is that I would have to kill Enderman for ender pearls and I might not have had as many arrows, but I could still make them if I got some chickens 1st
