MY EXPERIENCE WITH SOCIAL ANXIETY : When I was a child I was very extroverted I was free in my adolescence to speak loudly to be noisy in class "it was bad" I remember that I talked a lot in class the teachers scolded me for it, they took me out of class they talked to my parents about my behavior My parents punished me at home, which led me to be more shy because I believed that being noisy was bad. Now as an adult I have struggled with those childhood wounds. I am 35 and I have lost many business opportunities. Until now, I have never had one. Girlfriend, it has been difficult for me since that negative voice sabotages me and generates that resistance when speaking, my voice comes out very high-pitched, I shake sometimes, I stutter and I sound very suffocated, tense, I see some people who get uncomfortable and leave
Honestly speaking I really needed this video.. I am trying to let go of my emotional neglect of past by my classmates and family and the loneliness I had to suffer and all those things had lasting impression on my self image.. and your content always provide super practical advices❤

She gives chills when she fully allows her opening rather than stifling. On the one hand I can feel what she's feeling and on the other it's absolutely uplifting and sparkly feeling when someone steps into an unhidden version of themself

Great stuff, after 46 years, still learning to be myself and be authentic. It's a never ending journey. Kudos to the young woman here and her courage to sing.
This video has made me recall the exact moment when I locked away my singing voice. The whole class had to sing something and I got singled out for how good I sang by the teacher. I can still feel everyone looking at me. I felt judged and embarrassed. I should have felt proud of myself, there's no going back to change things but things can change as i go forward. I realised something BIG the other day that is linked directly to what you are teaching. And maybe link to a majority of miseries people face. I was dealing with the idea of success and trying to think of 1 thing that all successful people do which makes them success. I realised what one thing was. It is ACTION. Taking ACTION at work, with a craft, with sales, with relationships. Successful people all take lots and lots of action. Then I realised why many of us don't and definitely why I don't. We/I don't action for the fear of other people. These are some of the thoughts I would have: "what would people think?" "what would my family say?" I have come to realised that almost all my thoughts were cursed with the fear of ridicule. I have spent the last week catching every time I stopped myself from doing something because of that fear and I have replaced it with "fuck what people think." It has been an enlightening experience already. I walking a lot bolder and speaking a lot bolder and smiling. Mad to realised I stifled my own fun and entertainment because I was trying to ask in a way that seemed more acceptable. Mad.
What Julien does is incredible. Watching his content has brought me to tears more times than any other creators or coaches I’ve listened to. It’s opened my eyes to things I’ve never realized before and its those things I don’t know that I don’t know that will change my life 🙏🏻
