What about a rack system that starts from the windshield to the rear, and the basket on top is on rail system. That way your roof top can slide forward over the cab and that way you can use the whole bed like a truck. When you get to your spot slide to rear and your good to go. This would be for transporting big items maybe like dual sport or something. Cool racks though just my two cents.
Mine will be a daily driver so i'm worried about all this weight. Now if any are easily detachable to where I can attach on a friday afternoon and detach on a sunday night we're in business.
Great Video!, Unfortunately none of these racks work for the average guy who uses his Gladiator as a everyday work/play truck, All these fancy Gladiator Bed Racks and yet not 1 of them you can quickly remove the top roof top tent section to load dirt bikes...and none of them work with the Mopar rolling tonneau cover, which is what most people already have from factory...I'm baffled. Closest I've seen is the Lietner bed rack but the cross load bars come into the bed and steal all that cargo area...I guess I'll have to build one myself.
I really like the looks of these Racks but what concerns me about them is people stealing stuff off of them. Roto Packs, tire spare, shovel, etc. do they have anything to combat this? another thing is they don't keep snow from accumulating in the bed so if you have something like a refrigerator, or haul musical equipment or furniture etc. it's out in the elements, snow, rain etc. I guess my answer would be more of a Cap like the RSI. or a small covered trailer for hauling.
Love these great racks . The Con of it all is Production they, companies can't produce the racks fast enough. They sell couple hundred gone back order.
@5:41, I don’t see why you’d want to take the weight of a spare and put it higher up? Unless the only reason is a larger wheel won’t fit in the stock location?
@@jediknight737 The rear window view being blocked doesn't bother me since it's not used that much, most have rear camera's and side mirrors. I don't like the idea of your spare taking up your bed height making it unusable.
37's or larger usually won't fit in the standard spare tire slot. I have 37x20's so it's highly doubtful it will fit in a space that's designed for 33 x 17's. I think 35's will fit and depending on the tire make 37x17 will fit sometimes aired down. The advantage of placing it on top of the rack is that it doesn't take up space in your truck bed where you'd loose a bunch of height space. It will only get used in an emergency so on top of the rack makes some sense however getting it up there or down on your own would be a project.
Gladiator rack is nice but...Id like to see a rack that the mopar tonneau cover will work with, also can't load dirt bikes in the back because rear bars are in the way, Leitner makes a rack but cross bars stick to far into box so no room to drive dirt bikes in...
Has anyone come up with a solution to store your doors and roof into the truck bed? So when driving on hwy you can have them on and when entering to offroad removing them.
in an SUV with a 3.0 in. suspension lift does it also raise the ladder frame chassis a few notches up??? thus creating the additional ground clearance (space between the bottom of the ladder frame chassis & the ground surface)!!! would it be correct to say that a suspension lift creates more ground clearance between the bottom end of a ladder frame chassis & the ground surface
tire under rack mount is going to get ripped off idea. The tilt down snow board slide down rack neds to hve mult slides extensions to get near to the ground or else u can just put shit in bed & then on roof easier & cheaper. Good idea but unless double extension tilt down slide u hve not really helped much( on top of a van sure but over a truckcab/ bed pntless).
Love the Gladiator , Does anyone make a Gladiator bed rack that can remove the roof top tent top part so you can take dirt bikes and atv when not using roof top tent?
Storing any kind of ski or snow board equipment on a rack exposed to highway salt and dirt will destroy the equipment. They have to be protected from the elements in a closed container or tarpaulin.
I’m so far down the rabbit hole regarding racks. So many options, it’s tough to pull the trigger on one over another.
Dude I'm overwhelmed with all the options available, they're all sweet
This video is great. Info I’ve been looking for
Awesome! So many BRILLIANT ideas from the manufacturers.
Absolutely love my Road Armor Treck system.

So very useful tidbits. Well done!
Awesome trucks......
Great Bike Rack!!
Easy to install, works great

What happened with the Maxximus 3 bed rack? I can't find one anywhere. Did it now sell well?

Agreed. And let's go ahead and block ALL rear window view while we're at it. Insane.

anyone know what rack is shown at minute 3:02? thank you
Great video. I have the JCR but think I need full size with more customization and accessory options.
You forgot the Leitner rack though! Great video though
What rack is at 3:08 into the video? I see that the dirt bike fits in no problem
It's Trail Mods, and yes it's one of the better racks, I'm really surprised not much was said about this. You can find more pics of it online.
Hi, one question, why they do not do full covered , like on tundra or other, think all stuf will be in dust
Vlad, eto Gladiator...kto vodit takoi monster pil' ne volnuet! 😂

When are we going to see the Rugged Ridge high fenders with LEDs on sale?
Anyone know the link to road armor adjustable rack? Or the one that works with tonneau? Thanks for the help

I wonder if anybody makes bed racks that you can add a softcover to
Do you guys deliver to Australia?
Of course!
Anyone know if the Tonneau cover compatible rack from Rugged Ridge is still being considered? If not, are there any bed racks that are? Thanks!
I want the rack with the sliders

I am gonna need another credit card... ha!
What's the pricing on that Maximus 3 Overland rack? I can't find it anywhere.
$2300

Wich one is the last one?
The tent slides out
so the bear can eat
you for a midnight snack.
Just sayin'.
Seriously,
I like the Road Armour
Treck rack.
is it absolutely necessary to install wheel spacers in an SUV with a 3.0 in. to 3.5 in. suspension lift & 35.0 in. A/T???
that really depends on the lift and the backspacing of your wheels.
SEMA should have changed their name to GLADIATOR that year. There were so many Gladiators there.
That first one! Jesus Christ 😳
everything looks great - until you use it in the NE with the salt, snow and rust.
I agree. The one made from aluminum is the only option for sure! It can't rust (bolts, though) & light weight!
Nothing is forever...drive and enjoy!

Go fast
Bubble voice* man I can’t wait to get a fuckin rack in my Jeep! Lol installed a racked system yesterday
some of those "sliding" things look really rattly.
