Have you ever wondered why they have a bunch of goofy stuff on stage like washing machines and stuff? It's cause Geddy's bass plays directly through the PA with his vocals instead of through amps. Not as much tonal changes available to Geddy but way more dynamic sound, plus this allows Geddy to focus more on jamming while the sound engineers worry about the mix.

As great as Peart and Lifeson are Geddy is amazing. Why? Cause he's playing bass, singing and playing keyboards with his feet too! It's been 3 loooooong yrs without these guys

When Geddy is doing keyboard Alex is playing the bass with his feet. Neil gets all the love (and deservedly so) but Geddy and Alex are the definition of underrated as far as their contributions to making a three piece band sound more full live than a band with 6 guys.

One little victory, ceiling unlimited, ghost rider, peaceable kingdom, how it is, vapor trail, secret touch, earthshine and freeze...all of them ended up being some of my favorite Rush songs. Vapor trails was one of their best albums, right up there with Moving Pictures, 2112 and Permanent Waves.
