Luetin has some wonderful, in-depth lore videos. I would love to see you react to more of them. His series on the Emperor of Man is particularly good at establishing a comprehensive (and lengthy) timeline for the human race.
You should definitely check out Adeptus Ridiculous, it’s a podcast by Bricky to explain the basics of particular 40k subjects. He has an episode on the War in Heaven, the necron/eldar/old one origin story thing.
There was an ork big enough to be noted to use a tank turret as a club. That is how big they can (very rarely i must be said) get. Baldemort has a very good playlist of ork lore videos. They play out a story of his own ork OC; Kronan da' Kunnin.
As far as I can tell, the Krorks were created specifically to tear though the Necron legions. Their existence defied logic and strategy, so it tends to be very difficult for Necrons to calculate and optimize battles with Krorks (now turned Orks) as they do with all other foes. The Eldar on the other hand, we created to deal with the C'tan, as warp energy is a form of kryptonite for the star gods.
You should definitely react to Luetin's Grey Knights video. But you should also react to Luetin's videos on the Emperor of Mankind. They are quite long, but to understand the 40k universe you have to learn about the Emperor. He is a central figure in the lore and his backstory, what we know of it, is very interesting.
15:18 it means that they can literally replace their heads!!!! If you lop off an ORK head, and get it back before the head ceases functioning then the ORK will quickly get back up and get back to fighting!
orks dont usually regrow lost limbs, but if they can find the blown off limb again, they can use "limm gloo" to stick it back on. if they dont just get a mechanical replacement. and if they can escape from the dok before they go overboard, they might leave the hospital with only the wounds they entered with mostly fixed. instead of a few dozen new wounds maybe not quite fixed
The running theory is that orks simplify anything that doesn't help them fight. This resulted in the decay of the krork language to such a point that the name changed and the only known word from those days is Waaagh!. Even this is seen as a simplification. The krork were bigger but many believe they were also smarter. As for the ork comedy, look into Da Krew on Takahata101 and the Ork Episode of Warhams (set in the TTS Universe)
"Orkz is made fer' two fings! Fightin', and winnin'!" There is a lot of things Leutin couldn't fit in here, but this video is a bit more serious than most concerning orks. You can find more enjoyment by reading the codexes (I think you can google search the 4th one, that's the best one with hilarious goodies) Things like the Klans, the two ork Gods: Gork & Mork, how they take other race's teef for loot (they like em big and sharp) how Orks can literally have their limbs cut off in battle, stitched back on and still be alive etc. (Even their heads!) Etc. Although I will say it's almost criminal he didn't mention anything about WAAAGH!!! or the DAKKA DAKKA!!!
The ORKS and Chaos vids are definitely my favs on Luetin09's channel, really recommend you keep watching moar :) I also like the Daemonculaba one but that might not be up your alley
They were krorks when they were all really big, used actual tactics and instead of clans it was kind of a caste system, but not long after the necrons decided to hide from them and as the eldar fell into debauchery, they sort of rose up and overthrew their caste system, killing off most of the caste that were to become the blood axes, and splitting into these castes as clans like the goffs, and bad moons, and as their power fell they stopped growing to the same size as they fought amongst themselves and against anyone else they could.
Back in the day there was an ork theamed game, Gorkamorka. It was a blast and the rules were simple in weird ways. Like, in 40k much is written about how infantry and embark and disembark on vehicles, and which vehicles and carry troops and so on. There are no rules for someone jumping on the back of a tank for example. But this was different in Gorkamorka. "Put the models on the vehicle anywhere where they will fit. Move the vehicle along the table, going 'vroom vroom' as you do so. Any models that fall off while doing this will probably die."
"Humans were a bad enemy to fight - which also made them a good enemy, for orks made little distinction between the two concepts. No matter how many humans were killed, there were always more to take their place, shiploads of them brimming with vengeance. Humans were like a weed, like a disease, almost impossible to cleanse from a world. For a greenskin that made them something more than an enemy, for a fight against a favoured enemy was a joyous thing. Orks loved going to war with humans, because defeating the humans meant something." - Ork Warlord, Chapter War.
Probably THE most wacky, fun, and imaginative (pun intended) race in 40K. Amazing how they made something so brutal and destructive, but also goofy and loveable in a way.
Orks have two gods, Gork and Mork. One is brutal but cunning, and the other is cunning but brutal. Gork will smack you over the head with a club, while Mork will smack you over the head with a club from behind. They spend all their time fighting eachother. And that's it. That's all there is to know about Ork gods. It's amazing. Also, there is a very real possibility that the main reason God Emperor of Mankind is still alive... "alive" is the fact that orks *think* he is alive.
There’s a character called Commisar Yarrick (absolute badass) who led one of the greatest battles that the Orks ever saw. Because of this battle the Orks believe that Yarrick is immortal and capable of anything. Yarrick is now one of the oldest Humans in 40k and is capable of using Ork weaponry. While others cannot.
As an longtime Ork player it’s awesome to see you react to Ork and like them, would definately look forward to further reaction to orky content, and I think you will have fun doing so as well :D
If you're interested in luetin's vids i suggest you check out the imperium's first contact with the tyranids video. Its relatively short and pretty good at portraying how much of a threat the tyranids are.
Nice thing about building and painting Orks as well is mistakes on the models don’t matter as much because they are so scrapped together. I love me some orks!
Let me explain how funny and amaizing the orks can rally be. A group of the imperial guard was defending a position aganist an unending horde of greenskins, eventually they wan out of ammo but the company commander has an idea. He points his lasgun aganist the orks and starts *BANG BANG* and an ork falls over dead. The guardsmen look at him and all start *BANG BANG* and all the orks start falling dead. Untill a group of six orks won't fall over from all the banging. Then they start hearing a chanting, once it got close they hear *I'M A TANK, I'M A TANK ....
kroqs - the pre orks were 10 meters beasts that a lot of good fighting all around - when they run out off necrons too beat they devolved into orcs but now orc are evolving once more - see war of the beast and ghazghkull mag uruk thraka - the baddest ork around .hes like 7 meters now :D and keeps fighting and growing - nd when the boss grows all his boys around him grow .
Yes, react to the other half! Luetin knows his stuff, you know you want to watch the rest anyway so might as well make a reaction video. Makes perfect sense to me.
Luetin has a playlist on his channel with a few dozen videos with the whole lore in chronological order. Worth taking a look of you want to see the origins, it even talks about our earth today!
The more one learns about each faction of the Warhammer 40k universe, the more often one will think 'man they are underrated', at least that's how I feel when going through the massive lore of this universe.
Talking about the Emperor and the Orkz. There's actually a theory that because the Orkz view him as the massive powerful warrior, that could crush them at any moment, and is still alive, even if he is bound on the golden throne. That belief keeps the Emperor from actually dying and in turn stops the obliteration of the Imperium, that the moment they stop believing he's real, or a threat, he will in turn die from his wounds.
6:40. Yes there is one. But those orks where a bit different than the ones we have nowadays. They where 30k orks and they where larger and smarter. They held Terra (earth) hostage and used ‘diplomacy’ to force the planet to do what they wanted. The book series is called the war of the beast if your curious.
I know right! Just imagine a 40k Series about Orks, that'll be just their Comedy Still I'd wanna imagine despite this, their Enemies would all a while very serious and Tactical, still foiled by some cunning, comical Warboss
There's an old anecdote about an Imperial Guard regiment that found itself surrounded by an Ork tide. Out of ammo and desperate, all hope seemed lost until the Captain got an idea. He pointed his empty lasgun at the nearest Ork and shouted "BANG!" The Ork, believing the Captain to still have ammunition, immediately dropped dead. Witnessing this, the other Guardsmen did the same and waves of Orks fell before them. Suddenly, a large cluster of Orks appeared on the horizon, chanting as they draw closer. The Guardsmen "fired" at these Orks to no effect. As they drew closer, the Guardsmen could hear their chanting... "I'MATANK, I'MATANK, I'MATANK, I'MATANK..."
One thing not covered about the Krorks is that they were actually incredibly smart when it came to warfare and had incredibly advanced technology (they were handed this technology by the Old Ones). Once the War in Heaven ended, the Krorks numbers were reduced and were no longer able to maintain and acquire new technology from the Old Ones (because they were all dead or fled the galaxy). They were also regularly culled by the Eldar to keep the threat that was the Krorks existence in check and over millions of years the Krorks devolved into the Orks.
one of the best stories about orks is the human soldier garrison running out of ammo and they proceed to point their guns at the orks and yell "bang bang". the orks dropped dead lmao
You need to check out the story of Tuska Demonkilla, an Ork warboss who's spaceship got invaded by Chaos Demons while flying through the Warp. He had so much fun, fighting them off, that he started an invasion of the Warp in order to fight more Chaos Demons! He and his Bois got eventually killed by the Demons but Khorne, the Blood God, found this whole ordeal so amusing that he resurrected Tuska and his army and has them fight his Demons for all eternity to his amusement.
6:48, yes there have been a few. The first one that comes to mind is armageddon (the second and third wars for the planet), home of the armageddon steel legion guard regiment P.S. Ork players are notoriously friendly people and everybody seems to have a blast playing against them
Late to this one, but there is a group of Orkz trapped in Khorne's realm in the warp. They are trapped in the cycle of fight, die, be reborn, fight, die etc etc and they freakin love it :'D
The 2 humans the ork really respect is The Emperor of Mankind & Commissar Sebastian Yarrick(my favorite commissar) you should also watch Helsreach it's a great story of Black Templars vs Orks
A planet named Armageddon is probably the most notable case where a world was vital to the Imperium and threw everything they had to get rid of the Orks. Tons of guard regiments, several space marine chapters... this of course only drew more Orks to the planet because they love a good scrap.
Any planet in the galaxy might be infected, but not Terra, or earth, they get remotely near, they will instantly be turned into mushroom sauce by the golden banana boys.
Ork society can easily be summed up by the phrases "Bigger is better" and "Might is right". They have two gods; Gork, who is brutal but cunning and Mork, who is cunning but brutal. Although the video suggests they are immune to chaos some have been known to worship Khorne the Blood God, Nurgle the plague god (mistaking him for either Gork or Mork) and members of the Blood Axe clan have been known to worship the human Emperor. When I started writing 40k fan fiction I wrote about the Orks, or one Ork in particular as he battled against Tau, Chaos, Necrons, other Orks and also a Snotling that grew to enormous size.
Orks are absolutely my favorite army to play. I'm much more successful with other armies, but the Orks are so fun to play. And the tankbustas are my favorite models of all time.
An ork won't regenerate limbs that have been chopped of or destroyed, but they can receive transplants without difficulty, and even under harsh conditions. There are stories within the Black Library of orks being decapitated, having the removed head stapled back on (or placed on a different ork body already missing a head) and that ork carrying on as normal just moments later.
Actually, there was this thing called War of the Beast where a massive WAAAGHHHH pretty much almost killed the emperor. Orks grow in size in proportion to the WAAAGHHH or something like that so in this instance several Ork WarLords named the Beast were massive and they had technology not seen since to other orks.
Orks are like a cancer where it only stars with the one cell until it multiplies and multiplies until that cancer became a tumor and depending on the immediate response will determine whether or not the host lives or dies
You should look into the Ork warlords such as Ghazghkull Thraka and Nazdreg (especially Thraka because that sets up the most famous rivalry in 40k between him and Imperial Commissar Sebastian Yarrick which is a really cool story)
"I wanna know more about the Ork Gods." lol, You stopped just shy of the religion section. Please keep going with these lore video reactions. If you ever end up trying out Dawn of War 2 Retribution, Kaptin Bluddflagg has the best campaign imo. It's the Orkiest rts campaign out there.
There is one definitvely significant planet that has suffered from Ork infestation/invasion not just once, but *four times* - the planet of Armageddon, once the (possible) homeworld of the Orks called Ullanor. The first time it's mentioned was when the Emperor and Horus Lupercal (yes, the one who caused the Horus Heresy later on) supposedly crushed the Ork threat, culminaiting them conquering Ullanor. The second time was millenia later, when the newly risen Orks threatened to actually conquer/destroy Terra and the Imperium (something that previously required 9 Traitor Astartes Legions with their Primarchs to get equally close) and were barely defeated. Following this, against orders to destroy the now-teleportation-capable world of Ullanor, the Adeptus Mechanicus relocated it to a different system for experiments, and renamed it Armageddon. In late M41, the Ork warlord Ghazghul Mag Uruk Thraka would invade Armageddon twice. After Imperial victory the first time, it was deemed the only way to get rid of the Orks would've been to literally burn every forest and thus cut off the planet's oxygen production, so the locals just tried to quarantene the greenskins into pockets and reduce their numbers regularly. Then Thraka returned and the planet barrely held, with it's economy a mere shambles of what it once was. There are 2 reasons why Armageddon is a major world: not only is it secretly Ullanor, but also it's in a vital sector of space for travel lanes and trade routes to and from the Segmentum Solar, and the planet itself is relatively close to Terra. If the Orks (or any enemy) would seize the planet, the Imperium would probably try to exterminatus it and use its whole might to drive off the threat. Only Cadia (before it's fall) was more critical aside Solar itself as a singular planet/system in that quarter of the galaxy, and that says something given how many *Space Marine Chapters' homeworlds adn recruiting grounds* are there.
There is a lengthy video that goes into the history of the lore quite a lot. Not many know that the "Imperium of Man" in the old times was actually in a non-agression pact with the Eldar AND the Orks. That's how powerful the Imperium was. That even the Orks were convinced to attack others, maybe they convinced them there were better fights elsewhere?
There are ways to get the Orks of a planet but it involves a LOT of fighting. And unless it's a major planet that the Imperium absolutely needs to secure, like when Terra got invaded during the War of the Beast, the Imperium is usually satisfied if they can "Contain" them in a feral state. Luetin has some wonderful, in-depth lore videos. I would love to see you react to more of them. His series on the Emperor of Man is particularly good at establishing a comprehensive (and lengthy) timeline for the human race.
With thus you gotta react to tuska deamonkilla easily the best ork story I've read with a happy ending too which is rare.
Yes! React to the grey knights series! There's lots of lore to digest but i think you'll enjoy it
absolutely
You should definitely check out Adeptus Ridiculous, it’s a podcast by Bricky to explain the basics of particular 40k subjects. He has an episode on the War in Heaven, the necron/eldar/old one origin story thing.
There was an ork big enough to be noted to use a tank turret as a club. That is how big they can (very rarely i must be said) get.
Baldemort has a very good playlist of ork lore videos. They play out a story of his own ork OC; Kronan da' Kunnin.
God I love Orks. They're 40K's brutal comic relief.
Not to mention they're the combination of mad max and British
Depending on how long the video is he'll chop it up too much.
Fightin', and winnin'!"
There is a lot of things Leutin couldn't fit in here, but this video is a bit more serious than most concerning orks. You can find more enjoyment by reading the codexes (I think you can google search the 4th one, that's the best one with hilarious goodies)
Things like the Klans, the two ork Gods: Gork & Mork, how they take other race's teef for loot (they like em big and sharp) how Orks can literally have their limbs cut off in battle, stitched back on and still be alive etc. (Even their heads!) Etc.
Although I will say it's almost criminal he didn't mention anything about WAAAGH!!! or the DAKKA DAKKA!!!
I love it when I see people react to luetin09. His videos are long but man, they are worth it
The ORKS and Chaos vids are definitely my favs on Luetin09's channel, really recommend you keep watching moar :)
I also like the Daemonculaba one but that might not be up your alley
"We are da Emprahs greenest" FER DA EMPRA!
He literally scooped out an eyeball because some orks said he had an evil eye and had it replaced by a mechanical one that shoots lasers
PLEASE react to more Orks and ork lore I love em and they're so hilarious to learn about and on tabletop they're just a blast!
Eldar: "The Orks are the pinnacle of creation."
Orks: "DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA"
Yes, please react to the Grey Knights series as well!
yassss
I love the work she should always blocks more videos they're so much hours worth of information for the Orcs it's amazing
I have been waiting for this!
kroqs - the pre orks were 10 meters beasts that a lot of good fighting all around - when they run out off necrons too beat they devolved into orcs but now orc are evolving once more - see war of the beast and ghazghkull mag uruk thraka - the baddest ork around .hes like 7 meters now :D and keeps fighting and growing - nd when the boss grows all his boys around him grow .
I love how you acknowledge the term "hit that like button". At leased you didn't say "smash". I.... clicked on the like button...with my mouse.
When you find a cool shiny rock and want to show it to your mum
"Lookit me Flash boss"
Yes, react to the other half! Luetin knows his stuff, you know you want to watch the rest anyway so might as well make a reaction video. Makes perfect sense to me.
The Ork gods are Gork and Mork. One is brutal but cunning, the other is cunning but brutal. ;)
hey my dude reaction request cadia by templin institute please I know you will like it
He'll cry.
And his love for the Imperial Guard will be forever set in stone.
CADIA STANDS!
THE PLANET BROKE BEFORE THE GUARD
@@MrDominusttan *wipes a manly imperial tear*
ofcourse you need to watch more Lutien! he has tons of awesome lore videos!
He has a play list called something like Warhammer Lore in Order. Just start at the beginning and react your way through!
Luetin has a playlist on his channel with a few dozen videos with the whole lore in chronological order. Worth taking a look of you want to see the origins, it even talks about our earth today!
Luetin09's videos about Grey Knights are awesome! Really detailed and complete lorewise, you will like them i think.
Luetin is the best procurer of knowledge about warhammer 40k in my opinion.
"You better listen to da boss! Cause if not da boss squash you and make ork dead! And ork can't fight if ork dead!"
You would love the gray knight series! It has a lot about the horus heresy as well, giving you a small look at that as well!
Just imagine a 40k Series about Orks, that'll be just their Comedy
Still I'd wanna imagine despite this, their Enemies would all a while very serious and Tactical, still foiled by some cunning, comical Warboss
Oh yeah, You definitely should continue with Luetin09 videos. Also Helsreach is great book about Space marines/Imperial guard vs. ork horde.
I used to play an Ork army and had some beautifully painted models I regret giving up to this day 😞
There's an old anecdote about an Imperial Guard regiment that found itself surrounded by an Ork tide.
I really like these kind of videos. Especially with you in it😉
One thing not covered about the Krorks is that they were actually incredibly smart when it came to warfare and had incredibly advanced technology (they were handed this technology by the Old Ones).
20:00 Your mic looks like a rocket taking off.
They also attacked Cadia or how ever the fuck you spell it on their way to the eye of terror.
6:48, yes there have been a few. The first one that comes to mind is armageddon (the second and third wars for the planet), home of the armageddon steel legion guard regiment
P.S. Ork players are notoriously friendly people and everybody seems to have a blast playing against them
AYY HE DID IT! Lets go dude, cant wait for more. also, hope you enjoyed The Spacemarine game!
dis comment section belongs to da orks!
Orks are probably most favorite race of majority warhammer fans due to how funny they are.
Orkz are indeed pure hillarious, overkill comedy relief. That's what makes them so bloody awesome. No logic, just fun nonsense.
ORKS ORKS ORKS ORKS ORKS
A planet named Armageddon is probably the most notable case where a world was vital to the Imperium and threw everything they had to get rid of the Orks. Tons of guard regiments, several space marine chapters... this of course only drew more Orks to the planet because they love a good scrap.
Any planet in the galaxy might be infected, but not Terra, or earth, they get remotely near, they will instantly be turned into mushroom sauce by the golden banana boys.
Yes I’d love to see you finish this video!!
In the end, The Old Ones were laid low by the Enslavers, not the Necrons.
That's like saying the japanese empire was taken down by the soviet union, or the german empire by the united states.
I think Ullanor is one of the biggest major campaigns against the orks which involved a major planet being taken over by orks during the crusade.
the lore of War Hammer 40,000 is very rewarding to delve into but I warn you it is a VERY deep rabbit hole to dive into.
"I wanna know more about the Ork Gods."
lol, You stopped just shy of the religion section. Please keep going with these lore video reactions.
If you ever end up trying out Dawn of War 2 Retribution, Kaptin Bluddflagg has the best campaign imo. It's the Orkiest rts campaign out there.
Yea, hope he keeps going
Only Cadia (before it's fall) was more critical aside Solar itself as a singular planet/system in that quarter of the galaxy, and that says something given how many *Space Marine Chapters' homeworlds adn recruiting grounds* are there.
i was waiting for this video and yes keep watching, it keeps getting better
It could be that orcs also strenghten emperor with their beliefof his power
A big battle with orks to react to is the Second War of Armageddon. A large ork waagh against the imperial guard, the Armageddon steel legion
