@@thatonewriter8043 it’s sad that he had to retire so young tho. As a guy who lives in constant pain (due to small issues I’ve gained through careless actions, my old job and genetics), I’d give almost anything to have a time where my knees don’t feel tender. Or where my back is giving out on me. I’m only 22 and seeing how much pain and abuse Luck went through because they didn’t build an O-Line, I not only understand but empathize. @@thewriter8762 He didn't *have* to retire that young. He was essentially at a crossroads at that point. The groundwork was there that he could just throw everything at rehab like Peyton Manning, try to come back even better, and chase his first real shot at a ring. But he had been in that cycle for most of his career, and Peyton's last season was still fairly fresh in everyone's minds, and he decided to retire before his entire life was rehab and pain management. It was the right call, I think. Frankly, I'm upset with Tom Brady for not doing the same, because it's approaching the point of recklessness for him to keep pushing his luck on that with his repeated knee injuries.

Unfortunately, Colts roster management didn't get him the help he needed quick enough so that when they did, the damage was already done. Football is a gruesome sport and dealing with the injuries can be absolutely horrible. So he made the decision to retire before he would cripple himself more and enjoy his life. More power to him. Personally I would say this: Andrew, it would've been a pleasure to see you have a longer career less plagued by injuries, but as we all know it didn't pan out that way. You still made your mark and earned utmost respect and appreciation by not only being a great football player, but also a great human being. Keep enjoying life after football, you earned your rest.

We were blessed to watch him play as long as he did. I've never seen anything to suggest he's anything short of a great dude. Hope the best for him in all he chooses to pursue. I also hope he finds opportunities for leadership outside of football, as he has the humility and personality to do great things.

He gave football and the colts all of him since being named a can’t miss prospect out of Stanford and he did not disappoint. Dude lived up to his hype. Even with his injury, he was rehabbing to get back to football. Wish the colts took care of him sooner. He would probably still be QB today. Those colts fan that booed him have no class

Should do a video on this insane off-season and how Many house hold names changed teams aswell as the Tom Brady return from retirement (could be a video on itself really) cause there's alot of on and off field drama surrounding it with his old coach and his family that's pretty interesting

I’m happy for him, he seems at peace with his retirement. With that said you have to wonder what could have been with all his talent if he didn’t take all that damage throughout his career. He played recklessly and the colts also never got him an o-line.

The only one that can make a meaningful criticism is one who has gone thru the same pain he experienced those last 3 years. I imagine there are many players that would like to do the same thing, if they could just get up the courage.

Nothing but respect for Luck. I'm sure that was a tough decision to make but his comment about being a full time dad probably says it all right there. He and his family get to live their best lives, to use a cliche line. And hey, he's not the only person in his late 20s who realized there was a totally different career/life path ahead.
