Looks like another one from the Enjoybot company. They make Chins, Redodo, and Ampere Time batteries to name a few. Oh as well as the Enjoybot battery of course. I believe the box or manual for the 2nd batch of Chins batteries even says it's made by Enjoybot. All high quality batteries built the same except for different colors. The Redodo retained the same colors as the Zooms it replaced. I own 4 of each brand I listed except for the Enjoybot brand. Also the price of this one is not the cheapest I have paid. If you watch all of the brands occasionally they will go on sale, or have a discount coupon. Sometimes they are cheaper in sets of 2 or 4. The last batch I bought were $179. each.
The Siekon is $179 now as well. So while not the absolute cheapest it is right there and the build quality and cells excellent. This is the best value out there right now.
@@OurBlackCatCottageLink I followed has it at $219.99 with a 5% discount box making it $208.99 Like I said if you watch all of the Enjoybot brands they have some real deals on sale. The first batch of Zooms I bought 2 or 3 years ago were a deal at the time for $379. each. They were normally at $400. I believe in another year we'll see the price around $150. I'll probably add another 4 then. Some more useful information if you run these in series. They say to fully charge them separately before hooking them in series to balance out before putting them in service. Did that. The problem is once one battery is fully charged it's BMS will shutdown which stops the other 3 from chargibg fully. Then they all go back to being unbalanced. I solved that by using an active balancer. That allows balanced charging of all 4 batteries. Even more useless information. The Harbor Freight 3 shelf cart makes a decent battery rack. It will hold 4 batteries per shelf. I put a thin piece of plywood on each shelf so the shelf would dip down. It spreads the load better. 12 batteries is about the maximum fir the cart and the casters do scare me. I wouldn't try rolling it across town but it's great for moving it around my porch. A patio beer cooler nylon cover from Amazon fits the cart and batteries perfect to keep the dust off. Even more usable information. Lol. A 10' roll of half inch copper tubing makes a ton of bus bars for connecting the batteries in series. Cut to length. Beat flat with a hammer. Drill a hole at each end. Round off the corners with a bench grinder or hand held grinder. And add a bit of heat shrink over it if you like, and you have inexpensive bus bars. I also made bus bars for the positive output terminals that go to the MRBF marine terminal fuses I like to use. Much cheaper option than the normal recommend solar fuses that are never in stock when you need them.
@@2hotscottpro I believe so. I was paying $70. or so from Watts 24/7 but the last one is a different model that had 4 positives and 1 negative. Hooked it up and smoked it. He sent out a replacement and it works for a second and then goes off. So I ate that one and bought a similar unit on Amazon for less money. I like the units that give me the battery voltage for each battery. Only complaint about the Amazon version is they shine the display through the dark case and you have to look hard to see the display. But it works and has 4 red and 4 black wires so I'm happy with it. It was under $70. and had free shipping. People claim you don't need a balancer but a simple multimeter will show you that the batteries don't stay balanced because they have seperate BMS's. Once one reaches full the others no longer charge because they are in series.
I have checked mine. Everything was O.K. but the self discharge after one week was horrible. Charged at 14.3 volts and disconnected of everything; after 6 days the voltage was 13.3 volts. Did you check the self discharge ?
