With all these powerful, prominent “new” characters being made at the end of these RPs, I have a strong feeling that “What ifinity” is going to come back for real. The thing that was morbidly teased in random what if’s in the past but didn’t go anywhere at the time.
This is the kind of Gohan that; if ever became aware of the Super Dragon Balls' existence; would likely seek them out so as to wish away any and all threats to the Earth and Universe 7 as a whole. Now that I think about it he'd definitely feel threated by Zeno given how nonchalantly they erase things.

This was such an interesting story. I really liked how it ended (even though there is room for more if Masako finds inspiration). It would be interesting to see how Gohan would react to Beerus and some of the stories in Super. This is a top 5 story for me. Thanks Masako.
I gotta say, I love how your what ifs always try to give the side characters more of a spotlight. Most what ifs stick to the same thing that og dbz does where everyone else pretty much just become commentators on fights once goku surpasses them.
I love this. It end is suppose to be alittle sad but to me he is right about preping the planet and expanding things in a united front. Think of how planets without protection joining his empire. He isn't a Saint but he isn't a monster. We see his humanity is still there he just took all his experiences to heart and learned from it
Man, i normally hate when in what ifs they make the legendary Saiyan form (even in the context of the super Broly akari Saiyan form) controlable because it's against the very premise of the form but what you did with the concept is even better than maintaining it, it's a controllable state yes, but isn't you controlling anymore thats the sacrifice, man now I want to use this concept if I write something with legendary super Saiyan

The “unstoppable” feeling the form has (it's needed when fully controlled otherwise every fight would be an insta win) And the unstable nature (is at least for me what makes the unstoppable factor enjoyable even when being “overpower”) The unstable nature can get irritating in repetition that's why I liked masakox interpretation of “controlled” lssj, it kills the repetition problem but still keeping the aspects i stated, that's just my tastes, perceptions and opinions about the form tho

I wonder what would happen when Beerus wakes up on this alternate timeline, there are no Saiyans left to perform the Super Saiyan God ritual and no dragonballs to use for information, maybe the Legendary form would be enough to entertain Beerus for him to even consider training Gohan but I would really doubt Gohan would accept leaving Earth for it.
Gohan would have the beast form potential to interest them, which would probably be more powerful than his super version since it would stack on top of legendary ssj instead of unleashed potential

I never ended feeling so bad with the finale of a What if. You can say that despite they "won", they definitely lost, and lost too much. Thought the idea of leaving his instincts take control is what was needed, Gohan forgot of what he himself told: He didn't need to suppress it deep inside, he needed to accept it, learn from it and, in a way, control it. And there is where he failed: He didn't know to stop and was lost in his own ego (or lack of it). I have no doubt that his friends will find new Namek, and that with the help of Mr. Piccolo and Goku, Gohan will return to who he is. The idea I love of this is that, for me, this story proves that sometimes bad things have to happen for good (as a spanish saying says: No hay mal que por bien no venga). If you, unnaturally, eliminates all the threats before they even occur, be sure nature will find a way of creating a big enough threat. And oh God, that threat will punish you mercilessly. In a way, it is just as in Star Wars: the Force gave birth to Anakin Skywalker because the original noble cause of the Jedi was lost.

Huh now this made me start thinking of Gohan what ifs and I wonder how Gohan’s life would be changed if he grew up around Caulifla and Kale or just Kefla.
There's a cool What If idea a friend of mine and I have been talking about where everyone has the Zenkai Boosts (this story could be started by either saying they always have had it, or they learn about it and use Shenron to allow them to get the Zenkai Boosts) this allows the humans and Piccolo to keep up with the Saiyane a little easier, and if you want you could say the other Universes could also have them (although I personally dont really like it, but if you want to balance the What if more you can do this)
I think you left out the most important part where Vegeta arrives on Namek. Vegeta materializes on Namek and flies towards Goku and Frieza. “Frieza! I’m back and now! I’m a GOoD GUY!!!” A floating porcine is on either side of Vegeta. “Do you know the legend of the Super Saiyan?” Frieza “The Super Saiyan?” Vegeta “The Super Saiyan!” Frieza “Do ‘I’ know the legend of the Super Saiyan? Who lives on imagination space lane?” “I’m the super saiyan you space toad!” Vegeta yells as he blasts Frieza and disappears a second later.

it started as DBZ, evolved into an interesting take on the future timeline, and then at the end, somehow wound up evolving into the kickoff point for a warhammer 40K analog, complete with an emperor of mankind. this was wild start to finish, and I loved every unexpected turn. 10/10
Crackpot idea: If there was ever a dragonball "What If" gigantic crossover (which I doubt because no one has that much time), Emperor Gohan could be one if not the big antagonist of the event. Edit (September 2023): Welp, turns out I was halfly right.
A theme I want to pursue… if Earth focuses on self preservation, what might they lose from their old culture? Cuisine, sports, music, even celebrity gossip. Were these things holding Earth back, or were they what made Earth worth protecting? Perhaps after three or four generations, the old frivolous ways may return. But imagine such a far off time with no Saiyan, Namekian or Majin descendents. Then again, the new and improved Shapeshifter school would have developed some interesting fighting techniques.
I subscribe to the idea that Bulma can actually sends energy it's just not developed. When Ginyu switches into her body in the original saga, he makes a comment that he can sense energy in this body.
I have taken note of a few entries of a particular topic with Gohan buuut, have you ever considered your take on a particular scenario of: "What if Gohan became Evil?" Especially given what he has gone through (and kinds inspired by the creepy Bluey short you did lol) it would make one wonder. A really dark trigger would be that He felt Used by everyone given his power. Of course while many would have pushed him in one way or the other, the greatest culprits would be piccolo and especially Goku with his obliviousness being the sins of the father and the proverb of: "Provoke not your sons to anger". So if you ever consider the idea, go for it.
So, we have some years before Beerus would wake up. I assume Gohan would keep training in the interim. Work on the whole conquering thing a bit. Beerus wakes up. Can't get Super Saiyan God to fight. Gohan is surprisingly strong, but still not much fun. Blows up Earth. Goes back to bed. The End. Alternatively, Whis helps find New Namek. Get Dragonballs, make wishes. Info on Super Saiyan God, revive Goku... still not good enough without a Super Saiyan Vegeta, Trunks, Goten, and fetus Pan. Beerus then blows up the Earth.

But at the same time, the more powerful the residents in the universe the better Beerus’ clout amongst Zeno and the gods of destruction. And from the sound of it, emperor Gohan makes it mandatory for people to learn how to defend themselves which raises the global power level significantly.
Love the story except I'm sure tien and krillin met up with little green at some point. Let alone they met and saved so many namkiens.They should be able to sense the energy and get the dragonballs easily.
I have like 5 minutes left of watching this so I don't know how he's going to twist it. I hope he lets Gohan's point win. Because a lot of media tries to twist it where what Gohan ended up doing is considered bad. But why? In this hypothetical world there are legit threats that can destroy the planet. Why is he a bad guy for wanting to be strong and to keep training. I get you got to have a balance between relaxing and being on guard but that will come with time he should be able to release the beast

I literally just was starting on part 1 yesterday, this came in lucky clutch.
I think you left out the most important part where Vegeta arrives on Namek.
Vegeta materializes on Namek and flies towards Goku and Frieza.
“Frieza! I’m back and now! I’m a GOoD GUY!!!”
A floating porcine is on either side of Vegeta.
“Do you know the legend of the Super Saiyan?”
Frieza “The Super Saiyan?”
Vegeta “The Super Saiyan!”
Frieza “Do ‘I’ know the legend of the Super Saiyan? Who lives on imagination space lane?”
“I’m the super saiyan you space toad!” Vegeta yells as he blasts Frieza and disappears a second later.
Shame this did not expand into the God Of Destruction arc all the way to the TOP, but it is still really good

it started as DBZ, evolved into an interesting take on the future timeline, and then at the end, somehow wound up evolving into the kickoff point for a warhammer 40K analog, complete with an emperor of mankind. this was wild start to finish, and I loved every unexpected turn. 10/10

Crackpot idea: If there was ever a dragonball "What If" gigantic crossover (which I doubt because no one has that much time), Emperor Gohan could be one if not the big antagonist of the event.
Edit (September 2023): Welp, turns out I was halfly right.
A theme I want to pursue… if Earth focuses on self preservation, what might they lose from their old culture? Cuisine, sports, music, even celebrity gossip. Were these things holding Earth back, or were they what made Earth worth protecting? Perhaps after three or four generations, the old frivolous ways may return.
But imagine such a far off time with no Saiyan, Namekian or Majin descendents. Then again, the new and improved Shapeshifter school would have developed some interesting fighting techniques.
I subscribe to the idea that Bulma can actually sends energy it's just not developed. When Ginyu switches into her body in the original saga, he makes a comment that he can sense energy in this body.

I have taken note of a few entries of a particular topic with Gohan buuut, have you ever considered your take on a particular scenario of: "What if Gohan became Evil?" Especially given what he has gone through (and kinds inspired by the creepy Bluey short you did lol) it would make one wonder. A really dark trigger would be that He felt Used by everyone given his power. Of course while many would have pushed him in one way or the other, the greatest culprits would be piccolo and especially Goku with his obliviousness being the sins of the father and the proverb of: "Provoke not your sons to anger". So if you ever consider the idea, go for it.
Can we get more of this beyond the full story? I wanna know where this goes

So, we have some years before Beerus would wake up. I assume Gohan would keep training in the interim. Work on the whole conquering thing a bit. Beerus wakes up. Can't get Super Saiyan God to fight. Gohan is surprisingly strong, but still not much fun. Blows up Earth. Goes back to bed. The End.
Alternatively, Whis helps find New Namek. Get Dragonballs, make wishes. Info on Super Saiyan God, revive Goku... still not good enough without a Super Saiyan Vegeta, Trunks, Goten, and fetus Pan. Beerus then blows up the Earth.
Now for the reverse, what if Broly was the beast

@MasakoX im curious what I should collect next lol I recently bought all the 4:3 steelbooks dbz blurays,ever since I was 12 years old I always was jealous of people who had the entire show I would say someday I would own them all too,now im 34years old I finally got it,back when I was a kid I could never afford it I had to watch dbz on tv and later on on the internet but now I finally own them,I dont feel finished yet tho I kinda want the db super blurays too, and maybe db and gt eventually too,what u think? Should I go for it lol

I have like 5 minutes left of watching this so I don't know how he's going to twist it. I hope he lets Gohan's point win. Because a lot of media tries to twist it where what Gohan ended up doing is considered bad. But why? In this hypothetical world there are legit threats that can destroy the planet. Why is he a bad guy for wanting to be strong and to keep training. I get you got to have a balance between relaxing and being on guard but that will come with time he should be able to release the beast
