This was perfect. The storyline, the ability for some villains to change their ways, and an entirely new side character is introduced. Plus the occasional humor.
This is the kind of feels that Anime War gives off. I love it!

I love how everything on Earth is pretty much going the same as the original story (minus mecha Freeza) then Freeza shows up and is basically just like "no, no, we're skipping the Android and Cell sagas."

It's absolutely astounding that Masakox goes from "It's not possible" to "It can't be done well" then to his arguably most SUCCESSFUL What If in Revelation F. Bravo Masako, I've become a huge fan thx to this story
And thanks to this story (seemingly), its definitely allowed his stories to be far more creative and expansive than he ever allowed himself before.

I came in thinking “no way Frieza as a good guy could be interesting, his villainy is half his character”, but this story really changed my mind. Cool work.

That is true. One characteristic of Frieza that remains is arrogance and a want to always get his way, as seen by him actually learning Golden Form after being defeated twice by Goku. He is now all the more powerful for it, and is even let free after the Tournament of Power.
He can learn, but he really has to be truly humiliated for it to happen, and even then it’s a slow process (Frieza learning his lesson on properly attaining power took three deaths and two mangas to happen even if Super happens within Z), Thus, Frieza’s power had to be removed in every single way to necessitate positive character growth
@@iantaakalla8180 It took a lot of mutual reasons between him and other characters for him to change into his current personality. He got beaten twice because all he cared about was restoring his ego, but after he realized during the U6 and Goku Black Saga in Hell that he needed to fix his flaws and take Goku's advice to even have a chance to beat him, namely reserving his stamina and working on his temper, this epiphany was what he needed to create True Golden Frieza. Granted it's not perfect and he's still working on it, but after forcibly teaming up with the Z-Fighters for the fate of the Multiverse, and of course realizing there are entities that he cannot brute-force his way into making them submit to him, (Especially the vast difference between pre-UI Goku who was evenly matched with True Golden Frieza without Kaioken Blue, and non-full power Jiren) Frieza adopted a more methodical level-headed approach to things, and in the process even realized that he can't push himself to greater heights without the existence of Son Goku.

I always wanna appreciate how freeza learning golden instead of the 5th form could quite possibly represent freeza turning away from his family in his own way
Personally I'd have preferred fifth form then golden form that way you could play into him accepting who he was, is and who his family is then his golden form being him becoming his own man fifth form would be midway plot wise
This version of Golden Frieza I think represents more of his change of heart. It shows how at the end of the day, he has a heart of, well, *gold* for those closest to him

This story doesn't has Yamcha dying, but it has the androids being absorbed for ever (and Krillin not marrying 18 lol) either way, it was a cool story, the way Freezer turned good felt surprisingly natural. I also like how he keeps his personality despite being good now, kinda like Vegeta does.
1:24:20 I love this portrayal of Cooler, more worrying about his own squad than Frieza ever did, knowing when to call stuff off. Him disbanding the squadron for their own good was a show of that.
Frieza log: Stardate Completion... My story and redemption has finally came together into one amazing story, I shall continue the stardates when the Audio logs come out, Frieza, Kit and Cheelai out

I actually like the idea of Freeza getting some sort of Super Saiyan PTSD. I feel like it was one of the biggest missed opportunities in Super to further explore his character and the situation he was in.
This aspect of Frieza is actually canon. You can see it when Mecha Frieza sees Trunks transform.
The fact that even Cell and Cooler kinda get a happy ending in this is just wonderful. And the writing for Freeza is amazing! His evolution from pure evil to a sort of anti-hero with a permanent reminder of his past is actually really cool!
I can totally see this happening in another timeline in the main story of dragon ball. You even gave frieza a sad backstory, like bruh.

Also I can’t wait to hear more about Cell from this timeline, since Cell is basically alive and not screwing around with everything I’m curious as to if he will found out his true potential being the fact that every time he gets hurt he gets Frieza level growth Zenkai Boosts, with insane regeneration to the point where he could just pull a namek Vegeta and continue exploiting Zenkais for infinite power, remember back in the Cell saga we see this also with the Goku’s Sacrifice scene cause his ki went from looking like Super Saiyan to looking like Super Saiyan 2

Is it bad that I enjoy watching Masako's "What if" series, more than I enjoy watching the actual show? His stories are god tier.
No no, same here. ACTUAL DB is.... Frustrating. It has so much potential that gets squandered. But, these What-ifs bring that potential out in full.

@@Chimerathedragon Manga has been fun to read, but the new super saiyan forms aren't as prevalent in the face of UI and UE now. I just mean that so many stories are began (U6 for example) but never finished properly.

This basically means, that frieza becoming good, causes a domino effect which makes things more interesting and fairly more wholesome
As essentially the most evil character in the series, a universal alignment shift would make a lot of sense

His Frieza impression is amazing, it sounds pretty much exactly like him
Trogen has all the sadism and intelligence of OG Frieza, combined with Kid Buu's madness. Pretty much Dragon Ball's Joker, and likely to be its greatest menace. Had this guy learned how to travel between timelines and universes like Trunks, even Zamasu would've looked like a minor enemy in comparison.
Vegeta redemption:
-fighting the androids, cell and blowing himself up to try take out majin buu
Frieza redemption:
-decided to star in cowboy bebop with cheelai and some repair guy

The Thought of Zenkais via Frieza never doing beams and rarely the Death ball.

Crazier idea: What if Piccolo never turned good and made Gohan evil.
Maybe this Gohan would be weaker than his mainstream counterpart?...Seeing as how his triggers to ssj2 and beyond Normally happened from his kindness.
@@CJ-pv4hb but if he's evil and angry he might trigger it more quickly cuz he'd be motivated to fight and take down his father due to piccolos influence if he was evil that is.
That would be pretty solid story telling. Id probably prefer that if we saw that during the saiyan arc. Piccolo dies, and instead of one ship going to namek, Gohan takes Kami's ship to revive his mentor, and Goku, Krillen, and Bulma going after him and in search of Porunga. While there Gohan learns from his mentor's people, assisting them while Frieza and co wreak havoc.

Dude, your voice acting is amazing ! It's hilarious to see you switch between Frieza, Chilai and Kit when they talk to each other.
I love the initial part. Frieza looks a lot like a Ronin. A broken warrior, yet slowly discovering his empathy towards others, a genuine one this time. He's STILL ambigous, but he's relatable.

When you started this PROJECT, this AU, I thought it wouldn't go far, but it is very well written, it was original and it made sense, you MasakoX created a story where Freeza became good, it made sense, I really want to see the Freeza's new gang acting as the Guardians of the Galaxy of Dragon Ball Universe 7!

Coming back to this masterpiece once again, I still can't believe how well Freeza was written for this story and how believable him becoming good is.

I honestly would love to see Beerus reaction to this Frieza. Imagine his shock. Also now that we have Broly, unless something substantial happens during the Buu saga, there are more than enough saiyans for the Saiyan god ritual. Would be pretty funny if this version of Cell joined up with the Galactic patrol out of boredom or what have you..

Dude, this is one of the best stories I've ever heard.Period. and I'm talking about in my entire life, and I'm 43 years old. I've read a significant amount of books in my youth, some of them classics. You guys on this channel have a real talent man, I only wish somehow this story of freeze attorney good can be made into a movie. Or maybe a mini series on netflix! :-)

I think the fun thing with these what if episodes is that you don't make it obvious and aren't afraid to add new interesting characters who fit the new story. At the same time it is nice that besides the initial change the timeline otherwise is only affected once it comes in contact with the new event, so you do really get to see a ripple thru the original timeline. Plus it is an overall fun presentation that makes it easy to listen to. Good job

its so cool thinking about freizas ship that is basically just floating on through the galaxy being a neutral to the dragon team a nice refresher from people usually being all for or all against them.
I mean despite Freeza seemingly liking his new life and regardless of whether or not it was his own fault, Goku did ruin his entire life there for a bit. I wouldn't blame him for being apprehensive towards joining forces with Goku.
This was legitimately one of the best things I've listened to on the internet.

Masako, can I just say I LOVE your Frieza? It channels a bit of the original, a bit of Kai and a bit of Martin's own take on it, but you capture it amazingly.

The problem with what ifs, atleast on my end, is forgetting what happened and reading to start all over... same thing happens with fanfics.
So... ive been out of the loop on this one for a WHILE (Like before Frieza even met Vegeta while)... and thus im really liking these "Full Story" videos, and thoroughly enjoying this one for some reason.

To be fair, it would be and is pretty hard to take a character whose entire purpose is being the most evil thing there is and making a redemption for him. I'm just glad Masako didn't take the "Freeza joins the Z-fighters" route because that would just be hard to swallow.
